  1. It is FX armor, I would guess that I am 'barrel chested' as well as I am a bigger guy although more weight is around the stomach area.
  2. I've been fooling around with my helmet trying to get it ready for D*C next weekend and have found a new problem. The helmet rubs along the chest plate and doesn't allow me to bend my head down to see below eye level. (granted I can bend over and look down that way, its just a little harder to do) Is this a common problem? I've tried to move my padding around in the helmet and am still having the same issue regardless of positioning, I don't seem to remember it being as much of an issue last year, but I'm not sure. If I put padding in the top of the helmet then I can't see out of the eyes, seems to be a predicament.
  3. I actually went a similar route on my helmet, did 2 fans instead of 3 though. Here's the question, how long will two fans run from a pair of 9v's? I'm thinking I need more juice in the helmet but just not sure.
  4. TK-2414 of Carolina Garrison requesting clearance, thanks! http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...cfm?userID=8204 Derek
  5. To go along with this post I found the mentioned Wilson batting helmet at my local Dick's Sporting Goods for 19 bucks so check around. It fits perfectly into the helmet and with a little trimming and some velcro I have it fitting to my noggin pretty solid! Great alternative to the hardhat liner
  6. Hey Paul, Do you also have a snap underneath the bridge as an intermediate between the back and front? Just wondering how you keep the white strap from slipping out and showing from beneath the bridge during troops.
  7. The strap idea seems to be my best bet. I think that will solve the problem, I'll try it and let you guys know what i come up with!
  8. I am trying to figure out how best to fit my back/chest plate assembly. I know a lot of people glue the bridges onto both sides, but I'm not certain I want to do that (unless its my only option). I hear a lot of cracking and such happens down the road. I tried a method with industrial velcro that I found, but it seems to not sit correctly when I try it this way. (probably because my shoulders are broad) Any suggestions? If I need to glue down the bridge onto the back/chest then I will, but just seeing if there are any other good options, thanks!
