  1. Also could we further delve into the abdomen shape in general? The CRL model has the armpit section swoop down and up, while in the ref image above it actually swoops down, but then arches up. You can see what I mean behind the black connection piece for the chest and back armor. It's the white part sticking out from behind.
  2. Not only does the riot baton segment need to be reworded, but it really needs a new model. The one featured is really inaccurate (there is no rectangular striking area) and as far as I can tell, it's a fully cylinder. I'm still pretty sure it's the same ones used in Battlefront 2. A lot of troopers in the Campaign mode use them when you're fighting them, they'll run up from behind a barricade and raise a 3 part extended baton, similar to the one a fellow member posted here a few pages ago.
  3. Is it possible that the gun holster for R1TK could be implemented as an optional accesory? The ANH Stunt and ANH Hero have optional items that aren't found in the movies at all, but are in other stories that are in the same era. R1TK and ANHTK are in the same era, and 1 has a holster. The same goes for Pauldrons. The Pauldrons appear all over but aren't seen in the movies outside of sandtroopers. It's pretty clear it's canon now, so I feel we should implement it. Just my $0.02.
  4. I'd go to Imperial Boots.com for both, but mind you they tend to undersize boots. But in regards to all things Shoretrooper go to Pathfinder Detachment forums. They currently hold the Shoretrooper CRL, while this forum is for specifically Stormtroopers.
  5. FYI, this is a great build, keep it coming! However, it's worth noting that this forum is specifically for the Rogue One Stormtrooper and not the Shoretrooper. There's a few threads on here that need to be cleaned up imo. I'd advise taking the build thread over to the Pathfinders Detachment Forums, where they're the ones who currently hold the Shoretrooper CRL
  6. What'd you use for the boxes on the backpack? I know you had the smaller parts 3d printed, but I'm curious about the boxes.
  7. Darn it, you made me realize mine was so much more elaborate xD Seriously, great job! Considering the only part you needed to paint was the rear of the helmet!
  8. Grey primer??? I've only heard against that. Tgat really would help with painting the matt grey parts on tge R1TK helmet.
  9. Yowza!!! The only major adjustment glaring at me would be the cod piece. I think it's a little 2 wide, and should be taken in a little. Remember, these are much more mobile, meaning bigger gaps in between the armor parts.
  10. Also Daetrin, we really need to update the Riot Baton portion of the CRL. It's inaccurate and could be misleading. One of the members had an extendable baton that matched the ones in Battlefront II that every stormtrooper (including Shoretroopers) have. You can find them being used in the Kylo Ren/Del Meeko cutscenes back flash. I wouldn't be surprised at all of Battlefront II got the batons from Rogue One.
  11. Also it'd be best to put resin on the inside of the bottom trim. That way, if any armor interacts with it, it doesn't accidentall pull it off the thigh.
  12. Also, the tube stripes in the helmet. The blue in it is a seperate piece attached on the underside. In the interview with the designer, he stated that they were made to be functional vents. Do you have any ideas on how to make functional vents in your helmet? I hollowed out mine and put blue painted plastic underneath, but I'd like it to provide more air.
  13. Not to mention that these TK's are reletively clean. Scout Troopers can be dirty, but they're not in the MEPD. These TK's have a light dusting of sand, but that's about it. Call me the stirrer of the crowd, just thought it'd be nice to point out.
  14. Don't forget also to cut out the abdomen box square next to the windows, and put a screen plastic material behind it. Think of calculators xD
  15. If you cut a little slit through the top of the belt drop boxes and slip the elastic through there, perhaps cut an entire section out of the back of the drop boxes and attach the elastic there, it'll reduce the drop boxes sticking out.
  16. That's actually what I did for my abdomen. I bought a Shoretrooper ab from 850 armor works and did that cutout of the extra middle top section. Works like a charm.
  17. That's my point, we can't rely on too much the lego minifig. Only speculation.
  18. Another thing to consider is that so far, it looks just like a standard TK just painted grey, has either cammo paint job or heavy weathering with a cape. One of the things that'd be important to discuss is whether this should go to FISD or MEPD. I think FISD because of the above points. It looks generic, because the tk doesn't have a specific name, just a general classification. This is still pretty early unfortunately, so unfortunately this'll slow down the discussion until we can have something more definitive besides a lego mini figure.
  19. Oh it'll most definitely be altered. I'm betting it'll be an R1TK base, with only slight alterations to it. like how the FOTK in TFA and TLJ only were slightly changed in minor ways.
  20. This thread is for all research/CRL ideas to be discussed. I know the only reference image we have is of the lego figure, but this thread is reserved for all the live action images and research we'll be getting this year Something tells me this is going to be a R1TK with a different paint job and..... a CAPE!!! CRL Components: HELMET: NECK SEAL/UNDERSUIT: CAPE: CHEST ARMOR: BACK ARMOR: SHOULDER BELLS: BICEPS: FORE ARMS: GLOVES ABDOMEN/KIDNEY: BELT: COD ARMOR: BUTT ARMOR: THIGH ARMOR: SHIN ARMOR: BOOTS: BLASTER:
  21. Also if you ask me, I'd say the belt is a tad too tall (this makes it more restricting too). It just doesn't look right. Seeing as how you've already machetes everything else (and made it turn out great!) I'd say make it a little shorter. It just looks restricting to me, and doesn't seem very accurate.
