  1. Paul, it was just fracking awesome being there.
  2. Ok, I'm one of the shortest troopers in the Legion, and I was in the 3rd row... Perfection is hard to achieve
  3. It was shortest troopers to the front... Paul, thanks for getting us untrained chaos creatures in order. I'm glad you aren't my drill sergeant...
  4. CV was the biggest, best 501st time I've ever had. The most 501st members I've ever seen in the one place is about 20, so having 80 odd TK's marching up the middle of the massive CV corridor was amazing. Thanks to all that took part. No matter what anybody says, Stormtroopers ARE the Emperors Elite troops!! Rock on, brothers and sisters!!
  5. J, Nice work!!!! 2 weeks? C'mon J, are you slowing up in your dotage?
  6. One wonders how they would cobble together a car from wrecked cars which there was only one of? The original black coupe ( which is not actually the interceptor, that was the yellow XB four door that Max was driving at the start of the movie. It has "Interceptor" written across the bootlid in big white letters. ) was cobbled together from bits and pieces they found around the place. There was only one of them. One of the gents in our Garrison knows someone who has been working on the film. All of the cars are built, and in storage. The film is supposedly set between Mad Max I. and II. The Black coupe is supposed to be a transition between the shiny car from I, and the almost wreck with the long range tanks of II.
  7. I love my scratch built PVC E-11, but with a real scope, real hengstler, and real sterling folding stock, the bugger is way too heavy. I'm getting old, and have tennis elbow in both elbows... It stays holstered pretty much all the time. I'd love to have a Hyperfirm, but I just can't get one in to the country.
  8. Just back from seeing Avatar. Totally awesome! The animation was brilliant. I forgot about it completely. The 3D effects were at times a bit too much, but I'm old, I'm not a fan of heights, and my eyesight isn't that good, so I'll forgive it for that.
  9. Going to IMAX on Sunday. Looking forward to it
  10. *sigh* Indeed. I've watched this thread since it started. I've not known if I should laugh or cry. Does the FISD have a Sainthood award? I believe some should be handed out.
  11. Dave, I've got the mag, the D-ring and the T-track you need, but I don't have the front nozzle thingie. You don't need to grind off the T-tracks that are there, just cover the spots that are vacant.
  12. Congrats mate, and yes, about bloody time !
  13. Linc, post here mate : http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...t=0&start=0
  14. Do I detect a different breast plate as well? Hmmm, maybe booby armour is on the way to becoming official
  15. Just try getting under the edge of it with a scalpel, or some sort of sharp little knife. It'll just peel off in lumps.
  16. Damnit , I just riveted my sniper plate to my right calf !! It's about bloody time the CRL's were put in place, well done to all involved
  17. Yeah , they do look a bit pale . Walter , are they just washed out by the camera ? Looking good mate , a couple of bits to fine tune , and you'll be there
  18. Garreth , I can't say that I've ever looked at the holster that comes with the FX suit , but the ANH Elite standards only have this to say : # Holster is worn on the left # Holster must be attached to the belt from behind instead with no loops covering the outside of the belt Unless it looks like a total piece of rubbish , and it doesn't comply with the standards , it should be ok . Of course , if you get one of the snazzy holsters you can get from some of the blokes here , you'll probably be happier with it . Remember , you can always upgrade later .

    Weather?

Brother J speaks the truth . Oz is awesome ! 2 weeks ago , we dropped from 113 deg F to 72 F over the weekend . Yesterday morning , it went from 66 , raining and windy , to 90, clear and humid by lunch time . Today , 88 F and about to rain .
  20. Where there's a will , there's a way I've found that when you have to go , it isn't that hard to get everything out and ready. It's getting everything tucked back in and comfortable that causes concern . It's a bit like sitting in armour . When you need to , you will .
  21. I had no problems getting my Chelsea boots . Just went to my local horsey/ riding shop , and they had heaps to choose from . Paid $49 AU , and $5 for shoe dye . Painted them that night . Comfortable TK boots in a day . CAboots have got nothing on these little beauties
  22. Indeed . There was a bloke in our garrison who was adamant that he was going to wear a pauldron with his Officers costume and " it looks damn good " . He was persuaded otherwise ...
