  1. You're right! Perhaps any BFG is ok since Jes is the heavy weapons expert. Next goal is trying to find one for me to troop with! Smitty- are you busy??!?!!?
  2. A comic drawing of Jes with her heavy weapon : Jes with the Joker Squad
  3. Anyone happen to know the type of heavy weapon Jes Gistang, the female stormtrooper, from Joker Squad uses?
  4. Oooohhhh Thayne! Awesome on the purchase I'll be at D*C since I go every year. Tell your garrison mates that TKEastbay will be there. I'll be staying at the Hilton with Smitty and my other half DZ- 1673. Peeps can look for me as an ISO gal at the Mixer too
  5. Miranda~ Any chance you can post how you keep your thighs up - did you use a belt, back support straps etc with velcro? I have a problem with the thigh armor not sitting high enough on my legs. Thanks!
  6. Chris/Madmartigan~ Thank you for the analysis and suggestions . I ended up prying off the two straps to replace them with new ones. I'll take your advice about the positioning of the straps. The placement was just all wrong I'm a bit scared to attack the chest piece with my Dremel, but a TK's gotta do what a TK's gotta do - show off them ab buttons!
  7. I just bought a hobby iron in fact! Please look for me at SDCC - perhaps at the photo shoot (can't miss the shortest GGG TK ) I didn't have the chance to get 501st dinner tickets since they sold out
  8. Thank you so much for the support and information on this wonderful forum. I've been approved (with some armor recommendations ). Hence, the earlier post on separating ABS straps after use of PVC pipe glue - Lol! Just some minor adjustments ( Spoox/ TK 7107 can relate to me on that) - straps need to be repositioned, chest armor piece needs to be shortened, thighs need to be "evened out". Got a little work to do this week/weekend before SD Comic Con. After the changes, I'll have better pictures for my Legion profile Here is a little sample of me - yes I am a little short to be a Stormtrooper, but it's been my dream of a lifetime (WoW! That chest piece is way too long on me /gasp! and Yes, that is the amazing Smitty Blaster)
  9. Requesting 501st Trooper Access: Admitted to Legion July 14, 2009 ( BIG YaY!!!) Michelle Bassig TK - 9798 http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...hp?userID=10779
  10. Well...I tired the upholstery thread - it sorta worked, just enough to get the ends off. But, I ended up using a blade to pry off the straps I need to do alot of shortening of the straps and chest piece anyway, so the mini chunks of ABS that came off was not going to be a problem- Lol! I ended up finding a pair of new straps just in time to be sent and attached before Comic Con. Whew! Michelle TKEastbay
  11. Where can you find upholstery thread - fabric store or specialty furniture store? Thanks for all these tips Michelle TKEastbay
  12. Long story short...buddy used PVC pipe glue to attatch Fx straps to the chest and back pieces. Any chance to separate the straps from the chest/back without too much damage? Planning on getting new replacement straps - it's the chest/back pieces that we're afraid of ruining. Any and all tips appreciated! Michelle TKEastbay
