Pyrates AP Build and Journey to The 501st
ComradeDave replied to Pyrates's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
See if "the emperor" "support apparatuses" she is willing to part with and you're in like flint! -
I think I confused you Danny boy, for L2-L3 an accurate non-conversion E-11 is required (from lots of questions asked), but the weird part is that no Heavy weapons are options for ESB. On the ANH Stunt/Hero CRL the DLT is an option and has specs for Expert Infantry... I'll submit with my resin blaster but I'm totally trooping with the big guns. My mantra is the E-11 is a side arm lol. maybe I can get a FISD for being the first ESB HWT!
-
And thanks guys it means a lot. I'm a bit self conscious lol. I'm very passionate about this project and I just want everything to be perfect. I'm still pondering what I should do with the inside of the bucket... I want to load that beast up with electronics and eva foam to make it look super realistic.
-
Truth brother! I thought I ruined my bucket and got another now I can do both the goal is a HWT with the ANH parts, if you can go for it Kris!
-
The problem is it's an option in the ANH CRL but not in ESB... I hope the higher ups won't care
-
Thanks Tony I was super confused looking through some of the recent ESB submissions... Some with Velcro, some with no elastic...

Well thank god I didn't attach straps to my biceps... Is it a huge deal if I strap my handguards? Also I see that the wrists of the handguards kind of are flared is that what you're talking about Walter? -

You think it went quiet on your thread?! It's a ghost town on mine. My favourite die hards are there and I do see people lurking in the bushes though lol. You're doing a great job keep it up! I just bought my quest blaster I'm going to have to go back and review your steps, TKZombie's looks incredible. Sigh I'll keep up the good fight, carry on trooper! -

Thanks Kalani I should for sure cheers. I'm so confused I think I may have just bought a resin blaster... -
Sigh, my impulsivity got the better of me... After very unclear direction of the necessity of a Centurion approved blaster I bought the Questdesigns ESB E-11... The CRL says it is optional, and I wanted to build my own DLT because I like that BFG waayyyyyy better. But If I'm going to do this I may as well go balls to the wall. :'( Go on take my credits!

Well this is kind of the case for Canada... It's nearly impossible to get good replicas through customs, our exchange rate sucks and all of the good stuff is made and shipped within Europe and the US. So what is 160 bucks USD for a nice B Grade Hyperfirm turns into over 250 CAD and can't even come into the country. -

yeah I did another coat on the teeth. they're nice and even now. the Vocoder is a little tricky free hand.
-
Slowly but surely. I got the bells trimmed and sanded. Using a pencil to outline the mold lines, I cut below and finished by sanding with 80 grit first, then 120, then 240. Also there has been progress on the clamping I found doing the inner coverstrips first allowed for a more even surface for the outer strips, which need to be more clean, accurately placed and polished. to get more directed pressure I also used a floated strip between, the clamps/magnets. I also stuck my other forearm piece in the couch to gradually deform the parts I wanted rounded out... LOL I don't know if it will work but while the rest is sitting curing might as well. And finally I started slowly painting the vocoder. Pencil first then paint. More ominous

Can't you get to Centurion without a blaster? Honestly to me the E-11 is side arm I'm saving for a DLT-19 -

Which movie style is your favorite and why?

I'm going ESB too. I like the black frown, and also it was from the only sequel where the Empire wins a decisive victory lol. -
