Errrmmmm..... sell it! If you like the look of ROTJ then get one from me or if you like ANH/ESB there are plenty of great vendors on here with various options for different budgets...... By the time you've spent all your money, time and effort making the Rubies anywhere near acceptable you could buy a new suit. You will be much happier.

My newly Built CFO ROTJ suit

Thanks buddy, It was a pleasure dealing with you too...... I'm glad you like it and that everything arrived safe and sound. -
I have emailed Lucas a few times recently as I'm trying to get this done for you all but unfortunately I have no reply to my recent emails. I did get a response a while back when Andy posted his update and I have a few plans going off to the laser cutters but I think I'm still missing a few parts to the plans. When I do get a reply from Lucas I'll update. Hopefully I will have a few kits available soon for you all..... Stay tuned!

If its any conciliation I do it for the money! joking although it does help. I donated a full suit to the UKG for the "Make a wish " foundation. It raised a few thousand pounds and I can sleep with the satisfaction that I helped brighten up some kids lives. It's all about the children ultimately. Saying that I never grew up so technically I'm still a child.

I think it was a mixed question. As in why do we spend so much on armour. Then it became what's the best to buy.

Not forgetting TM which I believe is easier to assemble as its engineered from scratch. But in terms of lineage for ANH/ESB the RS is your no.1 choice. Or mine if you want to ROTJ.

Thanks Vern!

Rubbish. Buy one of mine and get the best to start with! In all seriousness there is a lot of good advice here and listen, research, research some more, listen a bit more then do a bit more research ask a few more questions listen to the answers, research a tad more listen again.............. That video bought a tear to my slightly deformed right eye! Amazing,...... Simply awe inspiring.

Horrendous T/MC builds...
sskunky replied to Horrendous's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
This thread is Horrendous! -
I would love to see the process from the start. You can never get enough of own sculpts!

I would be curious as to what moulds you would be using to make full suits of armour? It would be pretty cool to see a carbon fiber sui.

Strapping underneath shoulder bridges
sskunky replied to bjsavage7's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
When I asemble my suits for customers I don't add any strapping under the shoulder straps as per diagram....... Here is a diagram drawn by an actor and a revised version by our very own TM............ Original..... Revised....... -
OH NO - Spilled Brush cleaner on my bucket
sskunky replied to Clamps's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Easy. Sand down the surface with a 180 grit paper or pad until fairly smooth, then 240 then 400 then wet sand with a 2000 grit and you should be done. I'd not go over with novus. It sounds harsh but in reality very easy and you'll get a good result. It shouldn't take too long and use circular motions as not to cut lines in the plastic with the courser paper. DONE! -
Question regarding Cent level ROTJ TK Shoulders
sskunky replied to kaa1304's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Yeah, but I still think that it's not a full requirement for the foam. I believe it's only been spotted on one or two troopers and could well have been a personal mod for comfort in stunts etc.saying that it seems to be have taken on as being gospel that it should be included for centurion accuracy. Just a small block inside to push the bells out a bit is all that is needed. I don't think it should be mandatory but I don't set the rules. -
For the time, effort and money you spend on a rubies and modifications to get it any where near acceptable you may as well have got one from me
