ROTJ neck seals? Anyone make them?
sskunky replied to sskunky's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Thanks mate, I've seen that thread and they look great. Just wondered if there was any difference between ANH and ROTJ. Ill give him a pm and ask. Cheers! -
Used, Wonky Asymmetry, dirty, rough, thrown together (with passion), warts, bumps n all....... That's my true love. I just think they look better that way. I have to love the 2mm pinseal as it's off white in a warm way and extremely flexible, lovely to cut and assemble but I'm biased as that's the ABS I use. For me I hate acrylic capped ABS.... it has an almost glassy feel when cutting it and the look of it just doesn't do it for me.However I produce ROTJ which is a whole different kettle of fish to the ANH armour. Saying that, I would go with a smooth 2mm non acrylic capped for ANH.......Acrylic capped wasn't even around in 1976. I love the 30 year old kicked around look on all my props...... But everyone is different. I personally think it brings out the features more. Here's one I'm building at the mo....

you could trim out the teeth a bit more.. The ROTJ had quite big cuts on the teeth. -

Remember to put the brow trim on first to get a nice fit. -

Looks good to me too. I use liquid solvent cement Clamp and magnet the pieces together then touch the seam with a few drops of the cement and it will seap in and cement the two peices together. -
Ooooohhh...... mmmmmmmmm........ gently moving cylinders....

This topic went down well! -
I've got quite a few moulds for helmets that have not been released yet and this will really help prototype them into shape. Not to mention the parts for my armour that I'll be casting from my Disney suit to make up the left and rights...... Good times ahead!

Probably a bit of both!! Will do, got a load of building work to get through first with the house then comes the workshop. Indeed! I've been after one for years but never seen one for a reasonable price until now!

Hi guys and gals, As most of you know I get my armour made on big industrial machines but I have always wanted my own vac forming machine. WELL NOW I DO!! WOOOOHOOOOO..... I managed to nab a Formech 660 on ebay for a bargin price as they spelt the word Vacuum wrong! hahahahah......... They said it was a Vacume forming machine! Now I need to pick it up and it's located in Southport, Merseyside and I'm in London..... So it's a road trip for me. I'm away on Holiday next week so I will hopefully pick it up the week after. I probably won't get to use it until I set up my new workshop in the garden of a house we are just about to rennovate. But it means I can get stuff made when I need it. Which means catching up on orders when busy like now! I always have parts in stock as I get extra bits done when I'm forming but not always full suits. Now I can make up full suits if I need to. I will probably still use the company I use now for bulk orders as it's much quicker. Anyway thought I'd share my eciting(to me) news! cheers!

HI guys and Gals, I want to bid on something totally unTK related on evilbay and wondered if someone here in the US would place a bid for me? I live in the UK and the seller only accepts US bids. It's a collectable I've been after. I would reimburse you all costs incurred and who ever does this gets a free pair of my Hovi mic tips for their lid. It could go up to a couple of hundred $$$'s. If you would like to help me out please PM me.... Many thanks Troopers!!!

No, not mm.newey's came in different sizes and the correct "Newey" sizes are 5 for the cap and 4 for everything else. They are not easy to find.

Caps are size 5 every other part is size 4.
