  1. That's odd, it works fine for me, but is is a little picky. Do a search for armor and see if you get 7 pages of results like I do.
  2. Sounds like it's time for a repaint. But there is a bright side, look at the great painting tips and tutorials that have come out since you did it the first time 4 years ago.
  3. That's a dead link too, they all got messed up when the snow was removed. Here is the new working link: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16&hl=
  4. Come Arthur, who are you really. Your first post vs what your posting here don't jive. Nobody gets educated that fast, and newbies don't have copies of GF's C&D legal papers.
  5. The simple answer is, by not selling openly you won't get a C&D. Anyone who openly sells unlicensed Star Wars costumed and props will get an instant C&D. They only turn a blind eye to those not selling out in the open, and to be fair it's mighty nice that they just send a C&D and don't sue you for every penny you have and will ever earn in your lifetime. They have that right after all.
  6. Here is a good place to start: http://www.mepd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=4
  7. Here is to the next 3000 .
  8. Just a heads up, take the info on Parts of Star Wars with a grain of salt. They have been incorrect on many things over the years. It's a great resource, and they have done a great job, but the info over there is not gospel.
  9. Welcome to the legion .
  10. Your helmet is fine, Krylon Fusion is fairly forgiving. The only indication that you will have messed up is if you get a web like cracks in the paint. The reason it tells you to apply a wet coat over a wet coat is for adhesion, but if you do it too soon the propellant doesn't have a chance to evaporate and that can lead to all sorts of problems . Paint sticks better to partially dry paint, but there won't be any problems doing another coat later. Not trying to derail, but has anyone tried Krylon H20 yet. I know a few Vaders that have used the H20 and the results are mind blowing, but didn't know what kind of finish the white would yield.
  11. Of course I'm willing to share. I can pull HD grabs of anything from the OT, so if there is anything else anyone needs just ask. That's why we'll have the best TK reference section out there.
  12. I just watched the important parts of ANH in HD slow mo, and I have the answer. The wires only appear on a couple blasters in ANH, and they are not anything like what everyone puts on their blaster. I was also surprised that only about 50% of the E-11's have counters on them. Pictures to follow.
  13. Thanks for the compliment, but the SDS doesn't belong to me. I love my AP, just wish it didn't have a slightly blue tint to it.
  14. I'll vouch for them. Their customer service and prices are first rate. I also have the advantage to being close enough to go to their store a couple times a year when I'm over that way.
  15. If you want to be a real nitpick, the hero has 3 ridges on the ear cap instead of 4.
  16. Here is my AP (left) next to the SDS battle spec.
  17. I think you seek the ESB standards page: http://www.whitearmor.net/requirements/standardESB.htm
  18. The open space is from the shape of the left FX thigh. It's actually larger at the bottom than at the top. This can be remedied with trimming of course and eliminate the barrel legged look. I made my left match the size of the right leg, and I think I trimmed a wedge that measured about an inch off the top and about 3 inches off the bottom. As to the AP helmet. I have a really big noggin as well, and it's a tight fit. One thing you can do is to trim off about 1/4 inch all the way around the neck opening. This little bit will give you a couple more inches to work with (remember HS geometry), but you may want to ask AP for a longer piece of neck trim when you order in case you have to do this. Good luck.
  19. Great looking armor trooper. Welcome to the 501st.
  20. 1/64th is 15 gauge, he is probably using 2/3 mm or possibly 1/32.
  21. Last year there was talk about AP producing an economy kit, but the project was scrapped. I read that it may be in the works again so I emailed him today about it. The reply I got stated that there have not been, and will not be any economy kits made. They are sticking with the standard kits.
  22. Thats the message that occurs when there are no new posts since your last visit.
  23. CRL -Costume Reference Library
  24. I would say that it is more than good enough for the 501st. It is a nice looking helmet.
  25. Well if we allowed that in our military someone would sue saying it's sexist.
