  1. So have you requested 501st access yet? If not then do so. The info just states that I'm a detachment attaché and have been approved at both Expert Infantry and Centurion levels. Those come from going the extra bit and striving for closer to screen accuracy. Now so far as photos. You can use a mobile app called Tapatalk and it allows you to add photos to your posts. The other way is to use a hosting service like Imgur or Photobucket. Those allow you to link photos into your posts. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  2. Photos would help. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Chris shoot me a message anytime if you need some help. I'll be starting a new build soon. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Tony. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. I am signed up over there, but thought maybe someone might know that but of info. Can't seem to get logged into the Tapatalk page though. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah one thing I really love about it here at FISD is the higher activity and sounding board you get. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks Glen. It's weird on the other detachment forums. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  8. So after scouring over at the Spec-Ops Detachment I'm sort of at a loss for a material. I also noticed they refer people here for the build, oddly enough. My question though is shoulder strap connection between the chest and back. I've seen black canvas referenced, but I plan to go specialist if I can. Over here we know it's easier to build to Centurion off the bat just in case you want to go there later. Easier to build for it than to mod it later. So is it canvas or elastic? 9. I would second all the above. Also if you want check out building with tk1636 on YouTube he has an excellent series of videos with a complete anovos build. I also have an anovos kit and contusion. It's easy with patience and remember almost anything can be fixed if you make a mistake. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. I have tactical pads in mine and love them. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  11. Looking good so far, keep up the good work. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. Looks good Brian. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. I'm pretty sure they should be chrome or silver in color. Though I'm pretty sure this is never directly addressed in the CRL. These are mine. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. Awesome job and congrats trooper, glad I could help you in some way. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Daniel I know they're not required, was just more curious if there is such a thing as too thin for them. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  16. So I kept thinking that it was my thought that was causing some occasional bite. But after a troop this past week I realized it is actually my cod that is the cause. How thin of a return edge a return edge is too thin? I'm in an ANOVOS kit if it matters. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  17. Precisely what I did and glad I did. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah that looks good fairly normal for some kits. Listen to Dan he knows a few things, especially when it comes to tube stripes. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  19. I've watched those Dan. A bit painful on the quality, but you look good doing it Dan. LOL! Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah each of the OT frowns are different. ANH grey teeth, ESB black teeth and ROTJ the entire frown is black, as you have them now. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks Glen. I still need to make a folder for reference photos. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  22. The build looks good. Question on the frown paint though. Are you going ANH or ESB? If ANH you'll want to clean up the "lip" area as only the teeth should be painted. If you're going ESB the paint needs to be black and not grey. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. I would start with Tony's Ukswraith anovos build thread. Joseph would be a good one on the pack as he is also a HWT trooper. Though most of the packs I think are found over on M.E.P.D. but I think one of the pack builders is here on FISD. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  24. Congrats and welcome to EI James. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  25. That's my plan. Keep it shiny and then modify as I go and my kit weather's and ages. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
