  1. Just wanted to say (and give a little bit of a bump I guess) that this is by far my favourite build thread of all, I keep coming back to this one for inspiration and tips every few days or so. Great stuff. Just wanted to ask Jesse, if possible could you please provide more detail and preferably some more in-depth photos on where and how exactly you attached your thighs to your ab plate? Are they permanently attached? Thanks mate, again - great build.
  2. Could someone in the know PM me how much an FX kit cost from Tupperware TK when they were at the height of popularity please? Also if you have knowledge of what a current AM kit costs right now - again from Tupperware TK only and not a re-seller, I'd be very grateful. If you could specify what unit of currency (US dollars, UK pounds etc.) along with the price that would be good as well. I only ask because I have happened upon someone local selling FX armour at what seems to be quite an inflated price. Thanks lads. * Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, wasn't really sure where to post it. Thanks.
  3. For a great canvas belt I urge you to RUN, don't walk to TK4205's vintage cargo strap thread in the Ongoing Sales & Project Orders forum. Ordering appears to be closed at the moment but keep an eye out, this stuff is the ducks nuts. --------
  4. Thought as much, like I said just thought I'd check first. Cheers lads.
  5. I'm in the (slow) process of painting my TK, turning it into a TKC. What I want to know is do I have to try and emulate the exact weathering (at least as close as possible) and battle damage as say, a TKC from the games screen captures, or whoevers' suit is used for the CRL? Surely "reality" should dictate that no troopers, whether TK, TD, TKC or whatever would have the exact damage to their suits as the next guy. Probably an easy question, but just wanted to make sure before I start sanding and scratching... Peace
  6. Looks great mate, I don't think you'll have any hassles getting approved
  7. Hi guys, just need to know how long the pipe should be for the TD? Thanks.
  8. Exactly what I needed to see Scott, thank you so much for your pic of the handplates, and thanks to everyone for all your advice, I have since thought of another way to keep my thighs up, I don't know if it has been thought of already by anyone else, if it works out I'll reveal it here for all to see. Thanks again all.
  9. Could anyone who does NOT have their handplates permanently affixed to their gloves possibly post a photo detailing how you've attached them to your gloves please. I have a few ideas but would ratehr check here first to see if there are any easier methods. Also I am after tips (and I mean any tips at all) on how to best keep thighs from slipping down, at this stage of my build I'm trying some webbing attached to the inside of the thigh that runs up to another belt under the armour. It doesn't seem to be working and I find I have to walk like Threepio to even try and keep them up. I've also tried elastic but that was worse than the webbing I found. Cheers lads.
  10. Just wondering what is an accurate means of securing shoulder straps, are they riveted to front and back armour or should they be glued and/or velcroed... Thanks.
  11. The only thing you're doing wrong is the fact you're not giving it to me!! Looks great to me dude.
  12. When did the Redbacks become a Garrison? Must've missed that one Cool pics mate.
  13. Could someone please PM me details about ATA, such as price and who to contact regarding a possible purchase? Thanks! Looks great by the way
