  1. For a better symmetrical look, I would suggest bringing up the right shoulder bell a bit, Nadas. The biceps are aligned great, but the uneven bells are causing a lot more of the bicep on the left to show than the one on the right. Almost there, sir!!
  2. Regular strength will do just dandy, Daniel.
  3. The genuine product is clearly marked Made in the USA, and has a batch number on each tube. They do not sell to distributors in Asia, so if you try to save a few bucks by ordering from a seller there it is not the real stuff. If you have any doubts, you can contact the manufacturer at www.eclecticproducts.com, and they will let you know where to get it. Amazon should be a safe bet. If you use PayPal at least you have some recourse if it's not the real deal. The fake stuff really is garbage.
  4. Hopefully Tony can find the time to re-do the photos on this build... it is AWESOME! I made mine from a "mash-up" of his and my buddy Charles'. Be sure not to add the antenna, though. Charles' (@Templar726) build- https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30222-templars-hwt-pack-build/
  5. That would depend on your GML when you apply. Have you been in contact with the UK Garrison to see if there is someone who can help on a local level? https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/
  6. Sweet! As I (strongly) recommend to all those who get their armor, start your own build thread here. This will help you immensely, as you can ask all the questions you like in one place, as well as show off your build and any issues you may have by posting photos. Lots (and lots) of photos. Another piece of advice I always share is "When in doubt, ask first". This means that if you are note sure about how much to cut, when it's OK to glue, etc., it's better to ask first before moving ahead. Trust me. Questions are normally answered very fast here (it's what we do), and better to get it right the first time than to have to go back and re-do something.
  7. Looking good, Pete, but in addition to what has been mentioned I have a few other suggestions. 1. Your hand plates are on upside down. 2. The rear cover strips on your calves are VERY wide, and "ideally" should be about 25 mm. Can I ask your height/weight? The calves also need to come down at least 2 inches or so, otherwise the tops of your boots will be popping out constantly.
  8. Nice work, Carsten, and thanks for your submission! Before we can move forward, we can you add a close-up photo of the cod and posterior tab showing the rivet and snaps (exterior view) as well as a close-up of the tops of your boots? Thanks!!! Example
  9. Looking GREAT, Dana! Perfect positioning of the clips, and glad to see you also nailed the placement of the screws and used the pan-head type. Well done! If you keep up this sort of accuracy, I see a Centurion badge under you name soon... (hint hint).
  10. You are on one now, Steve! To get in touch, just click here: @sskunky to PM him. He is not on every day, but he will get back to you!
  11. In addition to that thread, I have some tutorials below that may help. If we can be of any assistance on your build, just ask!!
  12. PM sent.
  13. If you have any issues be sure to post them up here so we can help, Anthony. I recommend starting your own build thread here so that you can ask all the questions you want in one place, as well post photos of your progress and any problems you may run across. We are here for ya'! It doesn't look like Sean will be adding anything else to this thread, as the last post he made was 30 months ago and he hasn't visited the FISD in over a year.
  14. Welcome to the FISD, Jenny, and congratulations on your TM purchase! Lots to learn before it arrives, so you have some research in front of you. Know that we are here for any and all questions you may have, so always feel free to ask! If you haven't already done so, I would suggest getting in touch with Daniel @TheSwede He serves as the Imperial Attache for Sweden, is part of the FISD Command Staff (Deployment Officer) and is a wealth of TK knowledge.
  15. I wouldn't worry about removing them, Jonathan. A small file and/or some sandpaper will do the trick. It's more of an aesthetic thing and not a requirement at any level, but it certainly makes them look better (and more screen accurate).
  16. Looking great, Jonathan! If I could make a suggestion, it would be to slightly round off the ends of all the cover strips a bit. I have added some screen used armor references to give you a better example. Keep up the fantastic work!
  17. Well said, Joe!
  18. It's what we do here on the FISD, Dixon. Solid advice from the members of the TRUE home of shiny white armor!
  19. As mentioned, this is one fantastic looking E-11 with a few exceptions. Lots of great details, especially the inner spring. But, as you mentioned the scope rail does not extend to the rear sight, and the scope has WAY too much "brass" showing. Both are fairly easy fixes and would get you to Centurion if that is what you are (hopefully) aiming for. Many of us use resin-cast E-11s because we are just accuracy nuts. Some like to let fans hold them when asked, but I normally reply along the lines of "Sorry, but the Emperor forbids it" or "It's against Imperial regulations". Otherwise, there are alternatives that are made from rubber which are basically indestructible but are still approvable to level 3 depending on the maker.
  20. Be sure to post some photos, Dain. I would suggest trying out the brush/paint on another surface to get the hang of using it. Looking forward to seeing the end result!
  21. Hello, Brian, and a big CONGRATS for pulling the trigger on your AP purchase! Fantastic to know that you are aiming for Level 3 approval, and we will help get you there. As has been mentioned, commissioned armor may need a bit of tweaking here and there to get that badge under your name, but you can do it! Once you get the armor, what I would recommend is to check out this thread, and then post the required pics/info/ here. This will allow us to give you advice and suggestions (if needed) before you submit for Basic 501st approval. After Basic approval, on to Expert Infantry and then Centurion!
  22. Having an understanding girlfriend is half the battle, lol. Although it's certainly not required, I hope you will consider aiming for the higher levels of screen accuracy (Expert Infantry and Centurion). Doing this during your build is much easier than doing it after, and with a TM kit and very little extra work this is totally achievable. This thread will help. Again, having all of your supplies in place will serve you well. Nothing worse that needing something and then having to go out and buy or order it to stop a build in it's tracks. If I could offer some advice, it would be: 1. Stay organized. 2. Take..... your...... time. Rushing a build leads to mistakes. 3. When in doubt (even a little), post photos/ask questions before cutting or gluing anything. Trust me on this one. We will help you get that official 501st TK I.D. under your name. Once you get approved, you both will have the experience to start on your girlfriend's armor!
  23. Welcome to the FISD, Dixon! First, congrats on your TM armor purchase.. you are going to be more than happy with it I promise. While you anxiously await BBB day, I recommend getting all of the supplies you will need in place. Also, I would definitely look over some of the existing build threads. This will give you an idea of what you've got yourself into, lol. As Tino mentioned, I always suggest starting your own build thread. That way, you can ask all the questions you want to (the more the better) as well as post lots (and lots) of photos during your build. Photos are especially important if you run into an issue.. they really are worth a thousand words. I have some tutorials under my avatar below that may help, but always feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here for ya'!
  24. Regular (enlisted) Stormtroopers rarely wear any type of overt outward insignia, and are said to use the identification scanners built into their buckets to determine rank and seniority of other TKs. Yes, only the Sandies in ANH wore pauldrons. They are worn by TKs in SW Rebels and FOTKs (and of course HWTs ), but some folks get a little carried away, lol.
