To answer your questions, A.J.: 1) So, is it notches or no notches on the kidney? I'm seeing conflicting info. They are no longer a requirement. 2) Sheen of the paint on the TD screws -- gloss or satin, or does it matter? Whatever you have handy 3) Chin strap for the helmet, or is a chin strap only really appropriate/needed for certain helmet padding? I would not use a chinstrap in any circumstance.. you really don't need it. 4) Helmet suspension -- "hardhat" type, or those Apache type pads you scatter around inside? That is a personal choice, but I prefer the padding. Before you add pads to the top, make sure it doesn't lift your bucket up too much and make it difficult to see. I personally have no top padding, as my head doesn't touch the top. 5) And speaking of helmet suspension, I've had no real luck searching here for a how-to on installing either hardhat suspension or pads. Can someone link me to one if it exists here? Whatever feels comfortable. I would think about pads on the side and back only. 6) Finally, is it necessary to add "rank stripes" on the helmet ears, or can you skip that and just leave it plain gray? You will need 1 rank stripe. Hope this helps!

A small hint on the TD, (which turned out GREAT).. You might want to think of attaching some white Velcro strips (the fuzzy side) to the backs of the clips. This will help keep them from scratching up your butt-plate/kidney armor.

That was added during the recent CRL updates. I have no idea where it came from, as it was never mentioned in the suggested changes and they are not seen on the game the costume is based on that I am aware of. I have re-attached mine to comply.

GREAT job on that armor, Dave, and that pack looks spectacular!! Looks like it will be an easy pass, but there is one small item: You will need to have the sight as mentioned: For level two certification (if applicable): Sight shall be present on top where ribbing meets base You can get a resin one from Roger (spOOL68) which is where I got mine: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36566-spool68s-t21-resin-parts-kits/ Here is a photo of it attached to my T-21. Welcome back, Joey! You are absolutely correct about aiming for Centurion from the start. Your best bet at this point is to look over some of the AP build threads, as well as the EIB and Centurion submissions in the Advanced Tactics area. I would also make sure that you have all of your supplies in place before beginning.. I have a thread that may be helpful (Supply list for your TK build) which has a link right below my large avatar below. There have been cases where there have to be a few mods made, Justin, but it is best to wait until you can put it on to see if in fact it needs any. Your best bet is once you can get everything on to take photos and post them here. At that point we can better help you.

Looking SHARP Chris, and great job on that armor! A few small things that might help, though. You will need to paint the center split rivet on your ab at the kidney connection, and I would see about changing out the mesh in your hovi-mic tips before you submit for Centurion. Nice to see all those extra touches.. the new canvas belt, double snaps, and Velcro on the TD clips (wise move)! From a comfort standpoint, I would consider either removing the return edge from the tops of your thighs completely or at least trimming down and sanding the pointy connections at the seams (see photo below) in the front and back. On longer troops these can really be irritating, and possibly snag or tear your undersuit. Overall, a fantastic job, sir, and that blaster turned out awesome!

You should be able to take a fine needle file and carefully file that down a bit, Richard. I would blue-tape off the surrounding area to prevent scratches and don't go too deep all at once as it may leave a pinhole. If needed, you can always fill in the hole with ABS paste made from the leftover scraps from your build. If you need help with that, just PM me.

I use a nylon fleece lined gun case I purchased online. I believe it is one commonly used for paint-ball guns, but my E-11 fits perfectly. It also has built in velcro straps to hold it in place.

Like Jason mentioned, I am not aware of a patch with an actual DLT-19 on it. The EIB rockers sold out, but I have more on the way which should be here in a few weeks at most.
