  1. After my level 3 approval, I changed from rubber gloves to Nomex ones for non-canon troops. In Florida, it's gets crazy hot and humid, and the rubber gloves just get too uncomfortable.
  2. Way to go, Juan!!! Your Centurion certificate has been issued, brother!
  3. Just a quick question, Garry.. GREAT to hear that you are headed for Centurion, but are you planning on modding the Anovos bucket from a Stunt to a Hero? I did it, and as far as I know I am the only one to do it so far. I reached level 3 with mine and can give you a few tips if you decide to go that route, just PM me.
  4. I currently have the double caps for sale, but will have the single caps available next Monday.
  5. Great to see that you replaced the belt and ear screws, Robert! Anovos gets a lot of things right, but for some reason they continue to make those crappy belts and put the "wrong" ear screws in. The holster they provide is actually quite good.. made of thick leather and fairly easy to slip your E-11 in with not a lot of trouble. With all that extra work it looks like you are headed towards level 3, which is awesome! If we can be of any help, just say so and keep up the great work!
  6. My Hyperfirm is 50 inches (127 cm) long.
  7. What exactly are you thinking about clear coating, and which costume are you referring to, Tom? If you mean OT TK armor, most makers use ABS plastic, which comes shiny. HWTs and Sandies do have weathered armor, but the base is still glossy.
  8. Is it possible to recover information lost in the changeover? The international section in my Imperial Attache list is missing all the I.A.s between Argentina and Spain. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38483-fisd-imperial-attache-list/ I use these quite a bit when referring new folks to their local I.A. Thanks!
  9. We can also help you out, Ben. I suggest posting up some close up photos, including your ab/chest plate area, shoulder bells and thighs/calves.
  10. What part of the Orlando area is he in? I am willing to help, so please ask him to PM me. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/profile/22112-justjoseph63/?wr=eyJhcHAiOiJmb3J1bXMiLCJtb2R1bGUiOiJmb3J1bXMtY29tbWVudCIsImlkXzEiOjI5OTkxLCJpZF8yIjo1NTY4Mjl9
  11. Way to go, Pete! Welcome to the ranks brother... your extra effort on those fixes has paid off, now on to Centurion!
  12. Way to go Frank! Congrats on your Centurion status, brother.. well deserved!
  13. As I mentioned in an earlier post, vinyl/pleather neck seals can make you sweat like there's no tomorrow. I used an Anovos seal once and was miserable after an hour in the Florida sun. Besides being "breathable", Darman's are made to order with either Velcro or zipper closures, and are also 10 bucks less than those. Plus, the back is higher than the front, which helps cover the back of your neck better so people can't see your skin when you look down.
  14. There are a lot of options out there, but I personally prefer the 2 piece suit. Makes it MUCH easier for when, uh... "nature calls". You can find black compression shirts/pants on Amazon (links below). Don't worry if some have graphics, as long as they can't be seen (your armor will cover them) you are good to go. -----------
  15. Hallmark doesn't really make a card for this, so here's a cake!
  16. There are so many things wrong with the seller's statement in the listing it's funny. Original helmets sell for thousands, and are unbelievably rare.
  17. Absolutely, Evon. RS is one of the most screen accurate kits available. I would suggest checking out the Advanced tactics program area, especially this part of it: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/66-fisd-centurion-program/ You can also have a look through the approved Centurion submissions here, especially those with (RS) after them: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/
  18. Unless you paying for the PB advanced programs (3rd party sharing abilities) they will remove all your photos. I highly suggest backing them up on imgur, which is MUCH faster and easier to use... and it's free! PB won't even let me sign into my free account there any longer, so I lost a ton of photos.
  19. It's actually very light, Ted. I have trooped for up to 5 hours with mine with no problems.
  20. Ouch, Dave.. that may be a tall order. As far as I know Anovos has not really been supplying spare parts. Worse case scenario is you may have to order 2 new thighs (for continuity purposes) from another armorer. I had to replace my AM back/chest/kidney, and I used ATA. The color matches nicely, and the customer service was great!
  21. SUPER nice job on both the armor and blaster, Jay! You may need to move the shoulder bells in a bit, and it looks like the top of your right forearm may need a little trim at the join, but that may just be the angle of the photo. Good luck, sir, and I'm sure we will see that Centurion badge under you name soon!
  22. I managed to move many of my Photobucket pics over to imgur, but found that it will not allow me to copy the ones I have edited there. Glad to be rid of PB anyway, as it sometimes took up to 10 minutes to download or edit one photo.
  23. As I mentioned above, getting most anything to adhere to pure silicone is darned near impossible. The duck cloth I embed on mine allows for you to use any sort of glue, but I recommend E-6000
  24. I'm not sure of reference pics of them right off hand, but you may want to get in touch with Roger (spOOL68). He makes those and many other parts (including the cooling fins) from resin. I have used a lot of them, including the rear sight, and actually replaced the entire deck of my Hyperfirm with his resin one (I am bit of a detail freak, LOL). Using these may save you a bit of work. Here is a link to his sales thread:
