  1. Sorry for the dealy, Ilan, but the paint on the cod rivet and posterior snaps will have to be removed before proceeding. Can you take photos of each after removing the paint and post them here? Almost there, sir, almost there.
  2. Jose, before we go any farther, you will need to reduce the length of the cover strip on bottom of the left thigh. It should extend down just to the point above the lower ridge as seen in the reference image below right. Please remove that section and re-post a new photo here. Thanks! Photo updated Reference photo
  3. Nice job on shortening those shoulder straps, Ilan! I am working on your application now, brother.
  4. Almost there, Jose! Could you please post a photo of the back of your helmet and a wider shot of the front for us? Thanks!
  5. I think Kalani and Glen may share a chromosome or 2..
  6. There are 2 choices, Jim... You can pick up the supplies at a craft store or online (nylon, elastic, strapping, snaps) and do it yourself, or get in touch with Sara (screen name Alay), who I believe is selling the complete kits. If you do decide to go the DIY route, I have a snap setting tutorial here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44617-snap-setting-101/ Supplies can be found here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ Another GREAT item to think about is one of Pencap's thigh garter systems. Makes life SO much easier! I can attach my thighs in about 5 seconds each, and they will never, ever slip. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29991-thigh-garter-system/
  7. Basically, you take a 1 inch thick piece of foam, cut it into a one inch wide strip about 8 inches long. Then apply a strip of 1 inch wide Velcro (I recommend the industrial strength) onto one side and apply it onto the vertical seam inside the calf. The reason I suggest using Velcro instead of just gluing it in is because it will get sweaty after a troop or 2, and you can remove it for cleaning. My armor is packed away at the moment, James, but I will post up something here tomorrow for you!
  8. Let me be the first to say a big CONGRATS, brother! I am sure we can count on you to do the same great job as XO that you did as DO, and we are behind you all the way!
  9. What amazes me is that no one has done a Phasma in ABS. Below is a pic of a bucket I just finished that I bought from AM. The photo really doesn't do it justice, but the danged thing is incredibly shiny, looks exactly like chrome, and was not painted.
  10. You may want to invest in a set of these, Alex: https://www.amazon.com/Houseables-Stretcher-Expander-Stretching-Accessories/dp/B06XRNTDJ4/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1525801765&sr=8-3-spons&keywords=shoe-stretcher&psc=1 along with this https://www.amazon.com/Four-Seasons-Stretch-Ounce-Spray/dp/B00J4102B8?SubscriptionId=AKIAJJY2YKHHLJKYIBNA&tag=slk03b1-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00J4102B8
  11. Nice overall build on that kit, James! Luc pointed out a few items that should be addressed with easy fixes, but it looks as if you are (hopefully) aiming for higher levels! You should be good to go for basic approval, but if I may offer some additional suggestions they would be: 1. Remove all the return edges on your shoulder bells. This will help them stay closer to your biceps. 2. You can stop the left shin from shifting by adding a 1x1x8 inch of foam lengthwise on the inside of the cover strip. 3. One thing that really jumps out is that you may have trimmed the chest a little too close at the arm openings. This may affect any higher levels, but know that replacing the chest is certainly an option, and you are not alone, (I had to replace my chest, back, and kidney for my first Centurion approval). Below is a photo of a level 3 approved chest piece from someone of the same height. You have obviously put a great deal of time and effort into this build, and it shows, brother. Your back/kidney/butt plate connections are among the best I have ever seen, and those kidney shims show that you care about your appearance. Once you are approved at basic level, I hope to see your EI application right after!
  12. Really nice job on that Anovos armor, Thor! Although it won't affect basic approval, I would suggest ditching the canvas belt that came with the kit. It is really flimsy, and I would pick up something a little more heavy duty. Doing this will also prevent the sag seen below, and give you a better overall appearance. Let us know when you get your official TK number!
  13. I would give it another week or two before proceeding with a PP dispute. As mentioned on their site, they do things in "waves". If you ordered at the beginning of one of these, it would be a week before the order was sent to the mfr. Then they have to produce them, (again, in a wave) and then ship them. I have had nothing but great experiences with IB, and am not aware of anyone who has not received their order. Keep us informed!
  14. I would leave the antenna off, Adam. It is not seen in the game that the costume is based off of, and the CRL should be changed to reflect this. In the past, they were an option, and I actually had one on my pack but removed it. There are also a few more changes that will should be made to the HWT CRL shortly. PM me for more details...
  15. REALLY nice job on that report, Sarah!
  16. I'm sure you've already seen it, but this thread will be a great help in your DD build: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/ Also, if you want to take it to the next levels of realism/accuracy, I highly suggest picking up one of Tino's E-11 finishing kits: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28444-fs-completion-sets-for-e-11-resin-kits-with-worldwide-tracked-shipping-and-paypal/
  17. I know that a lot of Troopers have had success with this, Dean: https://trooperbay.com/trooperbay-armorwhite-plastic-whitening-gel
  18. This is what I use: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-26-in-Connect-Mobile-Tool-Box-Black-228224/300862598 I can fit everything (including my bucket and props) inside, but you should make sure it will fit in your vehicle first. If you get a smaller one, you can (and should) get a helmet bag. They are available at Trooperbay: https://trooperbay.com/helmet-bag
  19. imgur is a really easy site to use to store, edit, and post your pics, Alex, and it's free! Here is a link that may help: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42381-howto-post-images-in-threads-using-imgur-easy/
  20. You can always post up a few photos of any areas you are not sure on, Rodney, and we will happy to make any suggestions.
  21. Absolutely, Stefanie! There is a product called Novus plastic polish, which you can purchase in a 3 step kit. https://www.amazon.com/NOVUS-7100-Plastic-Polish-Kit/dp/B002UCYRZU It is available here in the states. They do sell it in Germany, (details below), but there may be another brand that is more readily available in your area. You may want to give one of our Imperial Attaches in Germany a PM, Christian (Novak Dimon) or Michael (Addertime) and ask them about what products they recommend. iGo3D GmbHAm Brabrinke 14Germany - 30519 Hannover+49 511 - 89 88 87 - [email protected]
  22. Those should work just fine, Alex. It looks as if there may be some light colored stitching on the shirt at the top of the sleeves, but it may just be the photo. That can be covered with a Sharpie permanent marker if needed, though.
  23. As Jordan mentioned, I recommend getting all of your build supplies in place before you actually start your build, Alex. There's nothing more frustrating than to be in the middle of a build and need a particular tool or supply, only to have to run out and buy it or order it. Under my signature below, you will find a link to my thread (Supply List for your TK Build) , and I also have a few tutorials that may help. When BBB day arrives, don't get spooked when you tear into that box like a kid at Christmas and see all the different parts that have to be put together. Taking your time and staying organized will help you keep your sanity, lol. Know that we are here for ya', and post lots of photos! Speaking of which, I would definitely check out this thread if you don't have imgur: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42381-howto-post-images-in-threads-using-imgur-easy/ You can edit, resize, enhance and post pics using it, and it's not only easy, it's free!
