  1. Toller Job bisher, Teddy! Stellar paint job on the tears and traps, but for the frown you will need to extend it a bit farther to match these ANH Stunt references:
  2. Glen is correct, Will. You need a minimum of 5 posts here on the FISD to post in the Sales section.
  3. Almost there, brother, I promise. All that remains is to get 2 photos.. The first being a close-up of your thigh ammo pack showing the bottom, which needs to be rounded off as per the CRL, and I can't really see yours too well. The photos you posted are from too far away. Also, we will need you to adjust the plate on your TD. The O ring needs to be sitting on the top. This should be really easy to fix, just remove the screws, slide it up and you will ge golden! THANKS! Reference images
  4. This thread in the Getting Started section describes the details on the vetted armorers, and should give you an idea of where to start. If you have any specific questions, just ask!! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
  5. Clamps and magnets... you can never have too many!
  6. Really nice job on that ATA armor, Colin! Tony or I will be with you shortly.
  7. Welcome back, Ilan, (and so soon)! Thank you for your Centurion application (and the plethora of detailed photos), now let's get to your approval, brother. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the required components as set out in the level 3 CRL. Tony and I would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion brother. Excellent work!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: We have nothing to add here except great (and FAST) job on those fixes.. Now it's time to get out and be a shining example for the Belgian Garrison!
  8. Some excellent advice from Greg there, Patrick. You can definitely remove the return edges on the top and bottom, as well as remove the cover strips**, glue a wider cover strip on the inside using some extra ABS (it doesn't have to be pretty, just functional) and then re-glue the outer cover strips on. I drew up a (crude) diagram below. ** Hopefully you used E-6000 to glue them together. To separate them, try gently (and carefully) prying them off with a sharp knife. Putting them in the freezer for a while beforehand will stiffen the glue and make this easier.
  9. You can trim the tops as much as you need to get them symmetrical, Juan. Return edges do not need to be present, as seen in the screen used set below:
  10. Here is the link, sir! https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40769-request-your-eib-certificate-here/
  11. Nice job, Jon, and we will be with you shortly! One thing I would recommend in the mean-time is to smooth out the jagged edges, especially those seen below. These will snag on your undersuit and cause holes. % minutes with some fine grit sandpaper should do it!
  12. Do you have the brand/color that you used, Preston? This could be really helpful now that Anovos is (slowly) starting to ship again.
  13. Nice job on this, Dan! One small tip I would add for those using the templates is after pressing them into the correct position**, apply a VERY thin coat of white paint over the stripes. Let that dry for 5-10 minutes, and then use the blue paint. The reason being is that the white paint will seal the edges of the stripes, preventing the blue from bleeding underneath and give you nice crisp lines. ** Please note the position of the stripes on the tube, which are about a #2 pencil width away from the cheek. PERFECT!
  14. Hi, Peter, and thank you for your EIB application. Let's take a look, shall we?CRL and EIB Application Requirements:It appears all the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the required components for L2. On behalf of the FISD, Tony and I would like to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry! I feel compelled to mention that blaster, brother... In a word, WOW! Your attention to detail is absolutely astounding, (and I'm envious as heck)!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Overall a fantastic looking set of RS armor, brother. I noticed that your back and chest plate return edges are pretty thick. This will not affect level 3, but if it makes you more comfortable they can certainly be trimmed down. Reference image Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. I certainly hope we will be seeing your Centurion application soon, but before that I would ask that you make sure the outer edges of your drop boxes align with the outside edges of the ABS belt. If they are being help on with a loop of elastic, you can use a bit of glue on the back of the loop to keep it in the correct position. Reference image Lastly, if you could bring your forearms up just a bit that would be great. A small gap is fine, but just tighten up the elastic (which appears to be a bit loose on the right connection anyway) and you will be golden! Reference image Just a couple small items, Peter, which I am sure you can complete in no time. Looking forward to seeing you at Centurion level next!
  15. Hi, Ilan! Thank you for your EI application... let's jump right in. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Always great to see a well built set of RS armor, and with that said, your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations, and welcome to the ranks! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Excellent job in fixing the shoulder bell gap. Doing that also brought it closer to the chest plate and back plate. Nice work! You have a pretty large gap between the top of the thighs in the back and the posterior plate. It looks as if they were not pulled up all the way in that photo, but you should try raising them up by an inch or so. There is room to work with in the front, which would also bring them closer to the ab/cod as seen in the reference image. You may also want to add a piece of foam on the inside of the front, which would pull the forward a bit. Reference images Lastly, the cover strips on your shins should line up with the cover stips on the thighs. This is a very common problem, (I had it myself), but it can be easily remedied by adding some 3 cm x 3 cm x 25 cm strips of foam on the inside over the interior front cover strips. Reference image Your posterior plate needs to be closer to your kidney, which can be done by tightening or replacing the strapping; Reference image In one of your action shots, your belt seems to have come unsnapped from your ab plate. You may consider adding another snap or some Velcro which will help to keep this from happening again. Reference image Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. In addition to above items, the outer edges of the drop boxes will need to align with the outside edges of the ABS belt. You may need to lengthen the left drop box by a few mm. In several shots it looks to be in front of the ABS belt or angled. The one on your right side right is perfect!! Reference image Reference image Really nice looking armor,, Ilan, and one you should certainly be proud of! Just a few items to work on, and I hope to see your Centurion application afterward! When you submit for level 3, please include a close-up photo of the outside edge of your sniper knee plate. Thanks!
  16. Hi Alan! Before moving forward, can you post up some close-ups of the joins of the front of one of your thighs, forearms, biceps and calf showing the overlap construction? Thanks!!
  17. Bueno, Jose, thank you for your EI application, so let's take a look, mi hermano! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and it appears that everything is in order, so I would like to be the first to welcome you to the rank of EI! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. 1. The small ab-button plate could definitely use some trimming on the sides as seen in the photo below: Reference image 2. We noticed your rivet heads look a bit large... Please check that your rivets are the correct size. Thanks! The CRL states: Three rivets, approximately 5/16 ' (8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the kidney plate. 3. The posterior needs to reside under the kidney with little or no gap.. I would suggest shortening or replacing the strapping Reference photo 4. Tube stripes should be approximately 8-9 cm from the face and consistent on both sides. Reference image 5. The stripes and outlines on the back of your bucket are absolutely spectacular, brother, but the ones on the tears are a bit thick. A few dabs of gray paint can easily remedy this! Reference image 6. Your left and right shoulder bells should be a bit closer to the shoulder bridge. An easy fix! Reference image 7. Quite a few of your coverstrips need to be trimmed down to where that are flush with the armor. Reference photo The gap of your ab/kidney connection on the right should be no more than half an inch wide at most. You may be able to fix this by tightening the strapping. There can be no gap for level 3. Reference image 8. Your blaster will need some work, brother. The Hengstler counter looks great, but the rest of it will require some serious sanding/filling to get rid of the 3-D print lines to get you to level 3. Reference images Reference photo Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Great job on your armor, Jose, but in order to get you to level 3 there are a few areas that will need some attention. After seeing the time and care you took on this build I am confident you should be able to get there with just a couple of hours of work.! Reference photo The ab button pate will need to be replaced, as these are not acceptable for level 3 as per the CRL. "Abdomen buttons are integrated and painted directly on the armor. No separate buttons are allowed". Reference image For the rear of the shoulder bridges, you will need to pick up some white elastic as per the CRL. "The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the white fabric that connects/bridges the chest and back piece". Reference photo The outer edge of the drop boxes should align with the outside edge of the ABS belt acording to the CRL. "Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box". Reference photo For level 3, there can be no gap of the ab/kidney on the right or left side. Again, this may be just a strapping issue and easy to fix. Reference image Congratulations on your EI achievement, Trooper! You have made the Spanish Garrison proud by reaching this level, and although you have some work to do, I am confident after that after it is complete I will see your Centurion application!
  18. You didn't mention how tall you were, Benjamin, and can you list the specific areas you are having trouble with? Photos of these would help a lot as well so that we can get you to where you need to be. Note that certain things will always be difficult (if not impossible) like sitting down, kneeling, bending over etc.
  19. Sounds like you are aiming for EI and then Centurion, brother! Always great to see someone who is eager to reach toward screen accuracy. By the way, fantastic job on your ABS belt placement! I do have a question about the width of your front bicep cover strips, though... (they look a bit wide).
  20. You can definitely trim the tops of the biceps, Chad. In the photo below, it shows where you can cut down the forearms at the tops (but be sure to keep the same shape) to allow a better range of movement. It looks as if your shoulder bells may need the return edges trimmed off the bottom as well, which will allow them to not only sit closer to the biceps but also reduce the gap shown with the blue arrows. For more screen accuracy you can also shorten the elastic between your shoulder bells and shoulder bridges, as seen with the red arrows. These are really easy fixes that will add to the overall look of your armor.
  21. Caught it, but the bad news is that it only gets worse. Sounds like you will be headed for level 3, Dave! My advice (in addition to following some of the great build threads we have here) is to go over the (approved) Centurion submission threads in the Advanced Tactics area: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ Studying these will give you a better idea of what details we are looking for, as well as a lot of suggestions and advice. Once you pass your basic approval and get assigned your official 501st TK ID number, you will need to submit for EI approval (which, judging from your positive attitude will be a cinch), then, on to Centurion status! As you will find mentioned here in many places, be sure to ask questions, no matter how inane you may think they may be. We are here to help every step of the way.
  22. As mentioned, return edges are not required for approval at any level. If you need to trim them down for length, I would suggest doing that from the top. Below is a shot of screen used armor to use as a reference:
