1. Hi Eric. Experiment first with a scrap just to get comfortable with what happens to hot abs. You'll be putting it in boiling (or just boiled) water for a minute or two to get it soft enough where you can press the edge against your table to round it out. Boil first. Test fit with tape. Then glue with E6000.
2. Hi Gayle. Great start and congrats on receiving your BBB. Be sure to take the time to size the various armour pieces to your body, as it important for overall fit and function. I say this because your biceps look to be a little large (unless your hiding some big muscles in there ). Post lots of pics and feel free to post questions, as we are all here to make sure you look your best.

Are you shooting for EIB or Centurion? I'd recommend it as TK's look their best at that level. Have a look at previous builds and applications for great pics and tips.
3. Congrats on the BBB day! Your sniper knee pencil lines look good. Cut away!

Mike, will you be shooting for EIB or Centurion with your build? I'd recommend it as TK's look their best at that level. Have a look at the builds and applications for great pics and tips.
4. That's a good idea Nick. Your Local Garrison will be able to help you out. But don't be afraid to post some pics of your issues/fixes here on FISD. We've all had issues getting our armor to fit/look proper, so it's not out of the ordinary for a trooper to need some help. We're all here to help, and would love to see you ready for Celebration!
5. Beautiful Build A.J.. Loving the clean cuts, sanded edges, planning, and paint. Keep up the awesome quality! I hope you're shooting for EIB or Centurion!!
6. Good Advice from Thomas. Get some blue painters tape and tape the various armor pieces on you, then go stand in the mirror. It helps for sizing, binding, and looks. Also, Regularly check Centurion photos/builds; they're great for reference when you're wondering "do I cut this?". I'd agree with other members, shoot for Centurion or EIB ... your TK will look it's best in those ranks! Your armor party will probably help the most. Keep posting!
7. Congratulations Greg! Review the little things required to get your TK to EIB & Centurion; you're soo close!
8. I don't believe removing the thigh return edge will impact a Centurion Rank. Leaving the return edge helps give the armor the illusion of thickness.
9. Congrats on your first troop! And including a blast a troop is the perfect way to break the ice, and challenge your kit/strapping/range-of-motion/cooling. Your Emergency kit served you well. Always shave it with you, as you'll repair many a TK with it (most likely not your own). PS, ANH TK's are left-handed ;oP
10. That's a good looking thigh. I'd recommend fitting them while wearing your black undersuit (as apposed to Adidas pants), as you'll get a better fit/clearance. Also, the return edge on the bottom of the thighs could have stayed.
11. Great cannon pick. Where'd you get your T-21? It's nice!
12. Looks good Mike. Your pics are a little fuzzy, but here's a few things that were spotted: bring your thighs up a little if possible your tube stripes are pointed in the wrong direction are your tears missing the black stripes? (fuzzy pic) are your ears missing a painted rank bar? (fuzzy pic) your shoulder bells could be brought in towards your shoulder straps. got any other pics?
13. Great Start Ben! Advice provided is on point. Also, check out a Centurion application and build for great pictures of a completed AP kit.
14. Heather, Are you assembling your armor using the butt-joint-and-cover-strip method, or using the overlap method? post some pics of it all (or most of it) on. Have you started your bucket yet?
15. That looks great Jim. I'd love to see a listing of where you got your parts from, for those Canadian troopers looking to go down the same HWT road.
16. That's a thing of beauty right there. Good Work!
17. Looking Good Jim. It looks like your sniper plate is still leaning back (after looking at other RT-MOD builds, it seems to be a common thing), which is contributing to it getting caught under the thigh. I'd remove it and re-attach it again. Keep the ends where they are, but bring the center bottom of the sniper plate down a few centimeters on the front cover strip. It should help with the angle. The plate should be on the same plane as the front of the shin. That and a little padding and your legs are in good shape. How are the stairs with the adjustments and with carving out the back of your thighs? Your shoulder bells can come in a little bit towards your shoulder straps too. Easy fix.
