  1. Is there a reason you left out the details on the horizontal cylinder end cap (Omega Symbol)?
  2. Do you have a better pic of the helmet attachment?
  3. Would you sell an unfinished/unassembled kit?
  4. Great pics and comparisons Aaron!
  5. Hi Nathan, A few things need some tuning up, but your pretty close, and small changes will really improve your overall look. Have a look at these... . You'll need to install the black elastic straps on your shoulder bells. These go around your biceps and help keep your bells tight. . your shoulder bells could be brought in towards your shoulder straps (shortening the shoulder bell to shoulder strap length) . your forearms look to be too long, or are sliding down towards your wrists. They shouldn't overlap your hands as they are I your pictures. Sometimes a strap from your bicep to forearm is needed to keep those forearms up. . adjust your thigh straps. your thighs need to come up and be kept in proper position . paint the split rivets white on your kidney and ab plates . your belt is hanging a littler lower than spec. do you have snaps holding it up? Was it not tight enough in your pics? Anyway, this is easy stuff to fix, and you'll look great! Nice job trooper!
  6. It's March 3rd! Pics Pics Pics
  7. Good Looking start Brian! I like the amount of air that would be allowed to circulate with that liner, but it looks like the liner/padding would come pretty far down on the back of your head, which might make putting your helmet on and off a little more difficult. Most troopers have to insert their heads sideways in the helmet and then "screw" the helmet on. Have a look at motorcycle or other helmet padding (amazon) before jumping on this one. This Ebay one doesn't look like it would lend itself to being hacked apart to even use parts of it.
  8. Congratulations Andrew!
  9. Yeah! You got a pic to post! And yes, trim off the wrist return edge. Welcome Trooper!
  10. Good Start Heather. Keep the posts coming!
  11. Congratulations Christine! Awesome Build!
  12. They're for your tool bag. There are no Philips screws involved in TK construction.
  13. The TD screws should be pan head common (slot) screws. Easy fix.
  14. Looking Good. Those Philips head screws are a no no. Swap those out for common head screws (same type as the ears).
  15. Looks Good to me! Are those TD screws domed headed or pan headed? It's hard to tell in the pics.
  16. Yes, mine are facing down, allowing me to snap from the bottom, leaving my shoulder straps firmly fastened. You also don't have to affix them for the entire length of the strap; that way you can still unsnap the chest from the back if needed.
  17. Nah, you can shorten the shoulder-bell-to-shoulder-strap straps. You'll most likely have to reinforce the fabric/elastic/webbing shoulder strap to ensure it doesn't get pulled out of alignment with the ABS shoulder strap, and become exposed. Yours are already getting pulled. You can make reinforcements by either affixing the fabric shoulder strap to the ABS shoulder straps (Velcro or E6000) or adding a stiffening material (thin tin metal or abs) to the fabric shoulder strap (Check out Brattie's build, page 58).
  18. Most troopers can get both comfort and accuracy. Christine's got you covered! I'd add/recommend that you look into suspenders or a belt to hold up your thighs, instead of hanging them off your torso armor or cod piece. Hanging the thighs off your torso armor adds a great deal of load to the internal strapping and shoulder straps, increasing the chances of ABS/strapping breakage or failure. PS make sure you've in a well ventilated space with E6000!
  19. Congrats!! A little fitting time and abs paste and you'll be ready for Centurion! I'd also suggest bringing your shoulder bells in towards your shoulder straps, and painting the screws on your TD black. Looking Good Trooper!
  20. The Canadian Garrison will be there!
  21. Would you be open to adding some snap plates and strapping (with or without Velcro) to take some of the load off of your original-type strapping system and return edges? Putting the load on larger areas of ABS will lessen the chances of further future breakage, especially while trooping!
