1. 50 (189.27 litres) Gallon Husky over here in Canada works great for a fully assembled torso.
2. Chookaboom's at a minimum. And, It all fits in a freezer ziplock back.
3. I would suggest that if you intend on planning a visit or running an event, that you have it run through your local Garrison. We are ambassadors of LucasFilm/Disney when representing the 501st, and have been granted the special privilege of dressing up as one of their characters outside of their control. Your Garrison will ensure the event is a right fit for the 501st, that your are safe, that the general public are safe, and that "The Mouse" is kept happy. Also, think of it this way ... you are showing up in a masked costume with a replica firearm ... Hi Officer!
4. Yup. Hot water bath. The two sides should align without the Velcro. Looking good trooper!
5. Nice job & Great Pics! It's neat to see folks from my Garrison in your pics!
6. I'd add, finish with locking nuts and/or acorn nuts. Smooth round shapes in case your bump your head, or someone knocks your helmet. It happens. Also, I looks like your chest plate is separating from your ab plate in a couple pics; you might need to add an additional strap to restrain them. You don't want your chest getting caught behind your ab plate. Looking Good Trooper! Will you be applying for EIB or Centurion?
7. Looking Good. Try to keep the opening for your head as small as possible; it keeps kids from seeing right up in there.
8. It's a good List Ben, and it shows the true cost of building a fully equipped and transported trooper.
9. Hi Ken and welcome aboard future Trooper! Have a read in the “Getting Started-Read this First” section, as there is some really good info in there for new members. Have a read in the "ANH Build Threads" section to discover other troopers who are building (or have built) the same armor as you! Really good tips, examples, pictures, previously answered questions, and successes here. In addition to looking at all the various build threads, I highly recommend checking out the “Advanced Tactics” section where you can see examples of those who have taken their armor to the next levels of screen accuracy (EIB and Centurion). I’d recommend that you aim to build to one of the certification levels, as TK’s look their best at these levels. It's really not hard to acquire EIB or Centurion, and it’s best to do during your build rather that after. If, and when, you’re looking for other bits –and-pieces, accessories, boots, blasters, electronics, etc., be sure to check out the “Imperial Commissary/PX” section for items for sale, project runs, and for other stuff that most of the troopers use. Also, if you haven’t done so already, make contact with your local Garrison. They’ll help guide you through the process of becoming a member of the 501st, and may have local Armor Parties in the works where you can get hands-on build advice and guidance, not to mention meet members of your future Garrison. So, start a build thread here on FISD; post lots of pictures and questions. We are all here to help you out and to make sure you look your best, and represent the 501st as best as possible. All the best on your TK journey!
10. Plain acetone from your local hardware store or body shop. Chop up some spare ABS into a container (stainless steel or glass container), add in some acetone, let sit then mix to a toothpaste consistency and you're on your way.
11. Ben, Paul, and Joseph have got it right. Good Luck with your repair. It'll turn out fine!
12. Toshi, there are tons of available electronics available (for a cost) in the Imperial Commissary/PX Area here on FISD. But, if you can get a hold of a soldering iron, you can assemble your own fan kit, AA powered or USB powered. Wiring diagrams are on FISD somewhere, or I might have one on hand too. Good luck!
13. Good Looking build Frank. I'd look into ditching the PTT cable and look into a wireless mic setup. They're cheap on Amazon and work well. You can then relocate your Icomm to your chest plate and free up some room in your bucket. You'll get dressed faster, not have to worry about hanging wires, and you'll have greater range of motion with your head. BTW, are you shooting for EIB or Centurion? I'd recommend it as your kit looks good and TK's look their best when at EIB or Centurion levels of approval. Good Luck!
14. Hey Todd. Looking Good. Here are a couple things I see... Your helmet tube stripes look to be too far out. They should be approximately a pencils width away from the vertical side of the bucket. You'll have to re-position those. It looks like your vocoder is overpainted. Please check reference pics or a Centurion application for reference. Yes, already mentioned, the small button plate is oversized. Is everything fitting you OK? Are your biceps a little to large? In one of the pics, your chest plate is starting to separate from your ab plate. Please tighten your strapping, or add additional strapping to restrain this movement. you don't want that gap. Are you shooting for EIB or Centurion? I'd recommend it as TK's look their best at that level of certification. Check out the Advanced Tactics area for requirements and applications. Post some full body pic front and back so we can get you fully sorted and approved. Good Work Trooper!
15. Hey Terry, I'd recommend having double snaps on your shoulder straps; they see a lot of load and a single snap could (will) pop while trooping. Looking Good!
16. Welcome back Justin! For your TD ... Swap those Robertson head screws out for common head pan head screws. Looking Good!
17. Clones! Awesome!

Have a look at the EIB & Centurion requirements, as they're not to scary or hard to attain. Good work trooper!
