  1. ROTJ does not have power cells, and is not based upon the sterling. it's based upon the MGC base gun. the default configuration for the doopy do's kit depends upon how you build it. if you have power cells, a hengstler counter, and a scope and rail then you have an EIB potential build.
  2. wear it in armor and have someone record it. that's the only way I know to check the relative volume?
  3. .. no soup for you! no fx lid for me! nah... I'll keep my collection of lids what I really want to try out is karin's large size neckseal!~ notice how tight he ties his neckseal? she's getting closer!~ I want one that looks like that! karin can do it!
  4. jedi robe armor looks like the old FX kit. the contribution to star wars is lost from AA since he did create helmets himself, not stormtrooper helmets but several helmets used in production. it's clear that the whole situation with AA is that he formed the armor, and then the original bucks were lost in the fire. his only creative situation is the many helmet designs he did create. and any industrial design elements to make the original bucks from the sculpts he was given as part of the design team while brian and liz created the original form, it's another thing to make a forming tool. so his industry requires taking an original form and modifying it for production. if you look at a cap and back tool, or a faceplate tool, it's not just a cast of the original sculpt it has to be greatly modified to allow it to be a forming tool. he was trained as an industrial designer, so his methods of fabrication are gained from that schooling. it's sad that he had to resort to recasting to bring his shop back to the current state it's in.
  5. my neck is really large and my helmets are small. that's how I tear my 17 1/2" neckseal. looking forward to seeing this with a liner of some kind. when I look at the way the originals look at the neckline I see some kind of lining. photos!
  6. RS Props has a pvc suit and it will work just fine. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538
  7. if you use suspenders attached to the AB and kidney over the shoulders, you can attach the thigh straps to the ab plate since the suspenders hold everything up. pulling upwards is the key to suspenders it keeps everything aligned while lessening the chance of snaps coming apart.
  8. and I've also wanted a TM too... eventually!
  9. wow! finally a smooth replica helmet different than the AP!
  10. several factors should be considered when choosing the material. needs to be stronger tear strength than latex. needs to have the paint mixed into the casting, and not just applied to the surface. needs to be flexible, and durable. when I look at different companies who sell rubber, or such, they have a tear rating. and the latex in a handguard does tear under certain kinds of stress. when I put my helmet on, my neckseal rubs in the back, and my helmet tears fabric neckseals apart at the rear of my seal. I hope to see all these elements! keep up the good work!
  11. spot on to me? now it's official! you're a number in the legion!
  12. what size in inches? and what is the post length? most of the rivets I find are too long a post? are we talking like a 6mm post length with an 8mm head? ---------- or http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/
  13. list your items here in the personal sales area. you will have buyers fast!
  14. I know it's like the real deal... that's why I like it! this version has no T Tracks. nice!
  15. sabreforge is a bad seller. please don't link his store. I've said this before.
  16. sick... it's hollow!~
  17. I love any kind of trooper. my HWT will have a black pauldron.
  18. here's the alignment on an original without being cut down. from the outside from the inside. inside the original is a metal cutout plug. the complexity of the internals might be a reason why the demil machinist does not always do the right positioning.
  19. you can use the overlap method for ROTJ, and ANH version with butt joins and cover strips. overlaping the parts on the arms and legs is only done for ROTJ versions of armor. the strips provided in a trimmed kit are used after you cut the overlap parts to fit your body according to the film or your body size. if you'd like detailed help shoot me a PM.
  20. it's a REAL toy helmet from the 70's score!~
  21. PM sent (anti- thread clog in progress )
  22. the attache' program is the mentoring group. read this http://www.whitearmo...showtopic=11538 need help ask more questions!
  23. this is a great storyline. I'm still trying to get into the way he introduces characters and develops scenes. his writing style may have to grow on me a little more. I love the concept of R2 D2's chip. a very nice touch!! "I've never seen such devotion in a droid before... " luke skywalker - rebel base orbiting Yavin IV.
  24. make sure you don't paint the T Tracks, scope rail or scope/hengstler with hammered, those parts are all untextured on the originals. also the round hole at the join of the folding stock should actually be a filled hole. it's the folding stock brace bearing seat. you have filled it completely up, perhaps figuring that it's a mold flaw, when actually it's a good part.
