  1. mobile browser bounty hunters? IPad fett?
  2. oh... and by far I don't have any problem myself with this C1 replica... in fact I will most likely buy one just because I'm insane... and I want one. who does not want a working folding stock on an airsoft! woot!
  3. yeah... well theres no way anyone's going to get my MGC... not unless they pry it from my cold dead zombie hand. A bird in hand is worth more than two in a bush... they might get away... when in the bush.
  4. the other way to do is is to use for sale signs and get the paint matched at a body shop.
  5. with the full resin build there should not really be that much dust... but the front muzzle where you're going to put the screws will create some. I'd just pop out on the patio and simply wear a dust mask. then vac up whatever dust you might have. the other option is to run the vac while you drill and sand... and just keep the nozzle near the work.
  6. just an FYI an MGC canadian C! costs MUCH more than this airsoft replica. for example I paid almost 300.00 more for my MGC C1 than this replica. and it's not like there are tons of MGC just sitting on ebay or elsewhere. for a fact the MGC is actually worth almost 2000.00 but that's with caps, and false rounds to go with it. my personal MGC was made in the 60's... so it's a true old time cap gun.
  7. excellent description of the details of the helmet... thanks for the detail.
  8. simply upload to a free photo service like photobucket for example. then use the IMG tag format from there and paste the links from your photo sharing service into your posts.
  9. TM has runs with the original size pipe from time to time... contact troopermaster for a fully built one...
  10. having an overlap is not really a bad thing... actually you might benefit from it if you happen to gain weight. personally I would add foam to the inside of the armor and would even consider wearing padding to bring your undersuit and size up to the armor distance. this would give the illusion of greater bulk and would keep you from cutting off more than you might think you need to. perhaps the deployment officer can help you to decide what to do with this situation. since he's the person who clears you for duty.
  11. to change image links... as I have changed image servers. I had quite a few posts for blasters... and my EIB applications that will need new URL for images.
  12. I think we should have a fan fiction area on site where we can write our back story out as fan fiction. I have a pretty advanced idea for my personal back story. would be interesting to have a place to share it on the FISD. I'll ask ingrid about it later tomorrow... she writes books... so it probably will happen.
  13. armor is not symetrical. so I would not trim the kidney or the AB until you've done a test fitting. screen accurate armors have a slight imbalance on each side. the return edges you have drawn look pretty nice to me. good job. just don't worry too much until you have tried it on.
  14. I started in 2008 but at least the content goes back to 2011 that's 3 years of missing posts? partial fix! thanks!
  15. hello admins. I have noticed since last server update my content is not listed when looking at "my content" no posts or topics show. any fix available? thanks in advance! current firefox with grey skin.
  16. one of the best ways to get the correct shape is to have a resin scope on hand to help you sculpt the correct shape. then you can always use modeling putty to correct any mistakes or add the proper texture. just mix small amounts of bondo and add in thin layers until you feel you have the correct basic shape. you can sand bondo too... so by adding small amounts at a time you can build up to the right amount.
  17. The M38 a2 was not used in star wars, but you can reshape the scope with bondo to correct the shape.
  18. I'm still trying to keep my dinner down... perhaps I need some tums... ugh....
  19. you can use the m38... that's fine.
  20. personally I love the work.. but I feel the frown should be more on the horizontal plane? other than that it's really close. have you tried a photographic overlay with your faceplate and the drawing? that would show you where the corrections might be made...
  21. looks like that might be a good marek saber maker...
  22. the charging handle will just glue in place really... the way they are designed you could just pop it in and glue it down.
  23. this photo ----------
  24. an external charger only makes sense! I have been looking closely at this project!
