  2. I was adopted when my father passed away when I was 2. my actual mother is still alive, but I have lost 2 mothers... and a father... yet I still have one father left to keep me company. he's 85 so he has a lot of wisdom and crankyness still to share.
  3. this thread is about all who have lost ones. we all share loss in different ways MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US ALL

  5. I guess when troopers get to a certain point in their career they start to lose the ones they need the most. my stepmother is on the list. how do you troopers handle the loss of those who you just cannot bear to lose? hearing your input might help us all to understand and keep our minds clear.
  6. pep armor approved by the 501? has anyone ever seen that?
  7. Thanks so much mark for commenting here! I remember when we discussed your contribution to the parts used in this model. that's exactly why I started depevloping parts and helping blaster makers have accurate product. from advising doopy do, to discussions with sci-fire, to helping with parts for the DVH kit and helping with the THG props blaster with a counter and a power cell kit, I've taken the torch you lit and have been carrying it ever since! your work mark helped me to make my own "mark" on this hobby! have a pint for me! :pint1:
  8. correct! the dates of serials recorded are not listed as you have them.
  9. looking like a great starting point! I might be able to help you date your serial numbers. APEX Kit from apex gun parts. The DVH kit comes from this base gun. do you have photos of the scope and power cells? if you need help on cutting down the magazine correctly I'd be glad to help. (keep in mind when you cut the magazine down you don't want to just lop off the end. you have to take the small plate off and keep the end that slips into the magazine. this way the clip lock, and magazine offset remain on the clip) -------- see how the clip in the above photo retains the clip lock? and feed area for the magazine? most people make the mistake of just lopping off the end... please don't do that! also here's an excellent thread showing the process of casting and building an e-11 this shows all the tips and details you could possibly need! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23598-thg-props-rubber-e-11-build-thread-pic-heavy/
  10. we usually line up the forearms from the wrist as a starting point. then you can adjust the diameter to fit, then you can reduce the length at the elbow. photos of your armor part and your arm help quite a bit. Armor make? length of arm? diameter of arm at widest point on elbow? Armor length? Armor diameter? Photos?
  11. look at it this way. it would have taken you longer than 5 weeks to build it. and it won't arrive with any mistakes of any kind!
  12. absolutely. RS Props is one of the best costume groups in the world.
  13. I found that bubble lenses if done with a flat spot right in front of the eye, reduces the eye strain. also found that if you look at the reflections in the lens you get an expanded view... it's hard to explain... if you've ever had to wear goggles at work you know what I mean.
  14. if you contact trooperbay directly you will find that he does indeed have helmets and armor on his personal list of products.
  15. trooperbay paint stencils were shape matched to a real helmet in 2007
  16. all the work was done by jesse. he did the work
  17. display helmets are too important to waste money on a lid that is not the real deal. while ATA is an ok lid, efx, fx and the lid you mention here would not be worthy as displays. Pardon me if I suggest that display helmets are supposed to be representations of the :"Real thing" do yourself a favor and go with RS props hdpe chipper style.
  18. one of the things I like to use are chicago screw posts for the belt attachments. this way you can remove the belt for tailoring or cleaning. and paul makes great points to consider!
  19. helping people have fun is why I love this place so much!
  20. I completely agree with this. usually when I build a suit for someone it's done with the harness system and snap plates. I call it the "trooping style"
  21. actually it's one of jesse's casts... I have way too many scopes as it is! glad to help out, now get out the flat black paint and weather her up! use a white crayon for the numbers. dremel off the screws on the bottom, and keep the hex heads for putting over your screw heads jesse did a fine job of keeping the detail intact and he even added brass screws. I don't cast these scopes because I don't have the original
  22. the box is the best part keep that!
  23. I have plans to offer kits in ANH ESB AND ROTJ I helped the DVH kit to work. I helped the THG props kit to work. eventually I have plans to blow your minds on an E-11 series of kit. sometimes a block of material is not right. it's in the details. here is a thread showing photos of one of my blasters with a REAL SCOPE and COUNTER! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22887-resin-blaster-with-real-scope-and-counter/
