what PVC pipe size for E11?
TK bondservnt replied to pandatrooper's topic in General Weapons Discussion
I'm going to be making aluminum tubes. -
the parts became available and I purchased them instantly on this website. without being aware, and quick to purchase I would have missed out on this incredible find. all due to andy in the UK. it took almost 6 weeks to get them from customs/airmail. was almost given up, lost in the mail... and then they suddenly arrived!

Seals Direct "S" question
TK bondservnt replied to runewolf's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I just kept the original form of the bottom seal, and just put the top part of the "S" inside the helmet, with most of the seal inside the helmet. I would not cut anything. just make the seal flush across the bottom with the rest up inside and you'll be fine. couple dabs of e-6000 at 4 points around allows the seal to be removed at a later date. that's what I did. -
2010 TrooperMaster Helmet ESB Style
TK bondservnt replied to firebladejedi's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
you know I really like this helmet, and all the attention to detail. sorry to be the one to ask? why don't the traps have decals on the rear that fit? is that the way it's supposed to be? otherwise it's a stellar paint and build! -
ANH additions for my TM Armor
TK bondservnt replied to SW1's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I have almost nothing in my helmet even when I hve it on... maybe that's the problem? my brain should always be put in before I put on my helmet. actually I just have a fan, a simple switch, a 9 volt and a single pad at the top. and a simple chinstrap bolted with my ear screws. when I get to the voice amp I'm just gonna use the wireless mic system and just leave the switch open all the time. after 4 hours of nonstop helmet wearing in an air conditioned hall- at wondercon I had probably an ounce of liquid in the lowest parts of the inside so having a liner might soak up some... lucky for me I insulated the electronics pretty well. can't imagine what it would be like to short out 9volts on your head when it's wet with moisture. try wearing the helmet and walk around the block at about noontime in the sun. -
you could always take some material off the top on an AP chest and just a little off the bottom. you would have to use a heat iron and a steady hand. you could have the back plate overlap the kidney plate to help the distance/height by trimming the kidney plate with no top return, or you could cut and model in the return on the top of the kidney plate. legs are easy to shorten from the bottom of the shins, and the top of the thighs. arms shortened from the elbow, and biceps from the bottoms. shoulder bells could be shortened just a bit as well, to keep proportions. but it's all in how much the bells overlap the biceps. best of luck. I'd have to reccomend AP or ATA as a couple of quality makers.

these are SCREEN USED helmets. not fan replicas. so the "hero" element has nothing to do with it. ROTJ buckets have green or grey bubbled lenses and the screen used armors shown have both types of shoulder straps. this variance in shoulder straps coveres the concept that there are 'closeup' and far away armor designs for budget purposes.

Century Arms Semi-auto Sterling
TK bondservnt replied to georgh's topic in General Weapons Discussion
just put the tip from the parts kit onto the semi- and you're good to go! too bad about the bayonet lug though, and the trigger guard would look a lot better from the MK IV. you could probably swap out the trigger guard from your parts kit as well. -
it looks like the ROTJ holster is just an ESB holster un looped and riveted in the middle of the webbing belt.

shouldn't the legion provide a listing of inactive numbers on the website for users to more facilitate the selection?

oh, and the great part about any of this is that you can set the cookie to skip the entire thing. and who knows... maybe this will just be somthing that people can choose to use to enter the site, and some can opt not to use it at all. ah... the beauty of html.

military? I"m interested to know more?

I created a FLV of the introduction with the troopers attacking by making a SWF container. the video elements were extracted from youtube, transfered to swf flv container. The introduction mission statement swf was created using xml and an swf container created by carey drake. (extensive rewrites with the help of our boss paul) The hyperspace transitions were created using separate swf containers and meta tag refreshes. (The hyperspace elements I wanted to put inside a tie fighter, I have the scripts but it was just getting too complex) everything loads via the introduction menu. I'll change the hover script for the academy link, I noticed that, but this is all just an example for admin to see, and this is the "full blown" version. there are simpler versions in the works, with a selectable system.

Pandatrooper's AM build thread[*AM]
TK bondservnt replied to pandatrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
you could have even moulded TM/ANH style tops on the thighs with a kit like that! -
next up: a cookie system allowing you to do several things. 1) turn the intro audio on and off. (leaves hyperspace transition and video clip intact.) 2) shorten the intro and turn off audio. (i.e. no hyperspace or video clip at redirect.) 3) return to original state. (places everything back in.) this way you can set the introduction menu system up for your own preferances. The logo used is on patches and people's web signatures, but is not prominent on the redesign of our site. I wanted to find the best way I could to showcase that specific logo, along with the new academy branding logo. Jonathan thanks for your input on this! making a simpler logo design would take away from the logo branding that I'm trying to keep solid. I have not decided if the font colors will be selectable. keep the input going troops! your suggestions and poll votes create changes in the code...

I have the straps connected to the AB plate near the belt line, then the elastic velcros to the thigh top. I put the elastic at tension and it keeps the thigh pulling upwards. with the fit of the thighs to the legs pulling upwards, they don't just hang, they spring up. when I get another pair of boots I'm going to see how my sprint times are for the 10 meter dash.

Amp & Com system with magnetic switch
TK bondservnt replied to Dmian's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
combine the system with wireless mic and you just put all your electronics in your armor, not the helmet. -
glad you like it pat.

yeah... those elements make the arubesh really stand out. I think it makes it really pop! it's all about contrast! any more ideas? make sure you click the link named menu above. this is a working flash animation with clips from the film, and a custom scrolling mission statement. hyperspace transitions into blog and forum areas. took a lot of fun work to acomplish!

added that...
