  1. If you're going to reshape the area, as Rat mentioned to avoid splitting or weakening the armor at the curve reshape this area.
  2. Or Amazon, whatever is easiest, cheapest. Oh and don't forget good quality snaps. I know Tandy gets thrown around here a lot however, DOT and Fasnap are better quality at relatively the same cost.
  3. May I suggest you switch to nylon webbing and snaps.
  4. Exactly what I was thinking. Jason what are you using for connecting material? Have a interior photo
  5. Alright. 5 10 she should fit this armor proportionally unless it runs large. That said, the posterior (butt plate) should reside under the Ab, can we get a side photo (arm up)
  6. Well if you're not having issues than you're good. No need to buy more snaps and waste money
  7. Hey Jason how tall are you?
  8. I'm sure you already know this but just in case, don't forget to paint the bracket screw heads
  9. IMHO, Chicago screws just look cleaner. but that's just me.
  10. Safety first: USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Bring a pot of water to a boil. Reduce to simmer or remove heat Submerge item for 30 seconds Remove, shape as needed Hold under cool water for 60 secnds Repeat as necessary NOTE: Try not to apply pressure with finger tips instead entire hand or palm.
  11. Your lines are pretty close to what Daniel has illustrated with the canon armor photo. Note: It doesn't have to be perfect considering the cloth waist belt will cover most of the area.
  12. Cover strip length is unique to your armor. Clarification: Armor sections may differ between builders because of limb length or other. This also applies to every other armor type out there.
  13. What Joseph said lol
  14. The ATA cover strips you cut to size, unless something has changed he usually gives you a sheet you have to cut them from.
  15. Yes. Cover strips widths are the same regardless of armor manufacturer.
  16. Correct
  17. Hence the reason I recommend DOT or Fasnap. Roghly the same cost as Tandy yet much higher quality.
  18. Now that is a thing of beauty
  19. FWIW most line 24 snaps have the same length post .
  20. On a positive note it's what we call battle damage! That said, if someone is producing an ABS version of this kit (without visible assembly joints) then most of your concerns seen in this kit will disappear. Lastly regarding this kit, if you'd pro painted it 85% of your paint issues would not exist, but then again that would have tacked on an additional $1K to the over all cost
