  1. Looking good Joe, yea Geky Pink makes a suspension system.
  2. The display I saw had seams at the shoulders and at the side Ab, so yes this armor would not be 501st approvable in its current assembled state. Keep in mind not everyone that buys a costume wants to be apart of club, or even wear it. That said I'd imagine neither Disney, LFL or Anovos are too concerned about 501st requirements.
  3. Nope that's a new one and no it shouldn't effect any level of approval, A good majority of people use the soft side of velcro in white. It basically works the same plus it blends in with the armor color but hey, if you come up with a better idea maybe others will follow that.
  4. More or less than what Anovos was selling on their website? If it's indeed made by Anovos (which it appears to be the case) then yes you should expect it to be being relatively accurate. The main difference between older versions is this has interior insulation. $6,616.00 and yes it was for the full kit from what I understood. What I couldn't get anyone to answer is if was already assembled, ready to wear and came with all the soft goods.
  5. Apparently several SWGE attendees bought these as a few SM sites are posting their purchases. Hard to imagine anyone but Anovos supplied them. Their labels are stitched to the interior padding. Guess that question is answered.
  6. Looking good Dave. Note: So long as the thigh ammo belt covers the gap there's really no need to cover and fill the hole, unless you want to. With the exception of a couple minor components the interior of your armor is not seen so it has minimal bearing at any level of approval.
  7. I'm curious if this other supply chain is the actual manufacturer in China that also took ownership of all the OTTK armor that Anovos couldn't pay for. We know they've produced a number of kits as we've seen so let's hope there's just a delay due to the GE opening and Anovo's commitment to Disney.
  8. Hey Ben the outside half has the cover strip and it overlaps the inner.
  9. Flippin awesome
  10. Agreed. I'm curious to see how the Mouse and LFL handles this. I'm guessing here but I'd imagine they'll just pay their high price lawyers to wash their hands of it and put the blame solely on Anovos where it should be.
  11. Not sure there's a right or wrong way to approach this situation. Anovos has had their customers over a barrel for far too long. I don't blame anyone who decided to ask for a refund nor do I blame those who continued to enable the ongoing dysfunctionality by buying their merchandise. Whatever happens I hope it's in the best interest of the customer, period.
  12. Sorry I meant forearms, biceps are pretty close to the same size.
  13. Don't blame you. The key is to put just enough pressure on the three involved to get the product to the customer. You push too hard and Anovos will just file for bankruptcy and we don't want that, nobody wins.
  14. Let's just hope that through sure pressure alone Anovos is forced to pull the rabbit out of their hat and not go under.
  15. lol this is the US. It could be tied up in the courts for years.
  16. Because Disney doesn't make anything, they just put their name on it and charge royalties.
  17. An ABS bucket with padding, interesting. Makes we wonder if they had left over interiors from the Premiere line.
  18. I think you guys are missing the point. For starters ATA armor has two different size forearms, the right being larger. Also the armor is thick as doesn't flex very well. If Adi trims the flat part back he'll have to trim the cover strip well below the 15mm. The cover strip material is even thicker and is not flexible so trying to curve it won't due either. If he does this it will undoubtedly leave him with a cover strip that is not flush which probably won't look pretty, not to mention it could get snagged on things, and he'll most certantly need to add an inner cover strip for strength.
  19. Well Disney isn't free from sin either. They've had their share of disasters.
  20. ATA forearms, here's my ATA. Flat surface is trimmed as flat as possible yet maintaining the 15mm cover strip size.
  21. The Novos polish #2 is basically the same polish as what's in the 3M kit. Glad to be of assistance
