  1. Funny you mention that. When I first started posting I was reminded by a veteran to not reinvent the wheel. At first I took offence to the comment but quickly realized the method behind the madness. Even though I'm on a never ending quest to make armor building and fitment better for everyone, there's proven concepts that are just simply logical. The sew snap is by far the #1 choice for that area by far.
  2. Hey Jose thanks for the updated pics. Let's take one final look at your armor!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos have been posted. Your armor contains all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that Gaz, Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Excellent job sir! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'll discuss observations made by your fellow troopers, as well as myself and Sly. Sometimes changes and or adjustments are suggested for the overall fitment of your armor. Sly and myself would like to see you bring your chest plate up a bit so that it's not hovering over your ab buttons. Everything else looks excellent, great job. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we try prepare you for your Centurion application and we're assuming with the build quality you have that's what you had in mind. If you do choose to apply for you will need to make a couple modifications. Modify, reposition or replace the chest plate so there is no ab button over lap. Also, There can be no back plate to kidney overlap. It should look similar to this. Again, great job
  3. Looking good Michael
  4. Looks like fun Adam Hey if you need TD clips I sell them also, no to discredit Johnathan but I know he's slammed right now trying to get blasters out. Let me know if I can help.
  5. You can either use a snap to connect the MP40 pack directly to the backpack strap or another type of anchor to connect the two. You can also attach a piece of black elastic to the MP40 pack and loop it around the shoulder bell attachment strap.
  6. I know it looks daunting but to be honest it's pretty simple if you have a bit of knowledge of electronics. Thank you
  7. I'll be at Dland CA tomorrow and Saturday. I noticed quite a few members have been there lately as well. Would love to meet any of you my FISD, 501st brothers or sisters.
  8. So much for the tube stripe pencil width
  9. Nice weathering job This should make the MEPD proud.
  10. Alright, I'm ready to sell the mesh fabric for the chest pill holes if anyone is interested. Sales thread is up http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34176-ukswraths-fo-chest-pill-box-fabric-mesh/#entry444578
  11. 1. Arm holes look good 2. Chest should sit flush against the yoke. I went with velcro but may switch later but for now I want to see how everything work in a real world scenario (troop) before committing to snaps. 3. The upper edge of the cod should be parallel with the top of edge two small boxes at the lowest part of the ab (I can send you a pic if needed). The cod can go on either the front or the back of the ab. 4. The posterior top return edge (Shelf I like to call it) is 2" from the lower edge of the ab. This is where your 2" belt will reside. NOTE: Did a semi final test fit my self last night. I found your ab will sit higher and your things lower than a typical TK. If you have a TK don't compare the fit of that to the FO. Looking good BTW
  12. Also I haven't finalized the build thread, once finished there'll be more assembly and material info.
  13. Hey, I found the fabric in the UK, I have a ton of extra btw. I used a friend of mine who works for a paint shop here in CA. Thanks for the kudos [emoji2]
  14. Not that you need my confirmation but you're correct Frank. Also, the rectangular section is bowed at least a 1/2" between top and bottom, not that this matters given the ANOVOS armor is virtually flat, screen armor isn't. On a final note, once the movie comes out most will discover the ANOVOS armor is quite different from screen armor anyways. This thread will virtually explode.
  15. Seams? where? Interesting
  16. Nice job! I just sold mine to a fellow garrison mate, these are really nice buckets.
  17. Wow you went from 300ish grit to 2000 then to polish, you're good. I would have went from 300, to 600, to 800, to 2000 then Novus lol
  18. Congrats Chris, welcome to the ranks trooper!
  19. Moving to the back piece...... Yea he's back lol. Keep your straps tight you can always readjust later.
  20. Wet sand is the same as dry except it won't create as much dust which is your worst enemy not to mention you have less clogging.
  21. Note: After climbing in and out of your ab section keep an eye out for cracking at the lower sections.
