  1. Great job Alberto! Thank you for your Centurion application and thank you for making the required repairs. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary requirements to qualify for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to congratulation and welcome you to Centurion! Excellent job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'd like to take a moment to suggest armor adjustments made by your fellow troopers or Sly and myself. One area that could use a little TLC is the sniper plate. Trimming the lower edge nearest the shin so it follows the contour of the shin armor itself. Removing the little flare at the end would give the area a cleaner and maybe even help prevent it from getting caught on something. Rounding off the thing ammo pack corners would make that area look a bit cleaner also. Great job trooper, now get out there and represent your garrison and the 501st proudly.
  2. Looks awesome. Great job Michael
  3. AH HAHAHA
  4. Also, please add a link to your EIB app page at the top of this app. Thanks again
  5. Hey Alberto, close brother but the drop box alignment needs to be more like this. Aligned with the end of the belt also. Thanks
  6. ah hahaha
  7. hahaha man no pressure here
  8. Sorry I missed this. I don't see why not though you might want to consult him and what he recommends also. Just keep in mind wherever there's going to be filler and/or paint don't use E6000, well unless you want to see cracks in your paint
  9. lol yep. Something to keep in mind also, not all plastic welders are created equal. Devcon makes some of the best, whether it's the mix it yourself type or the professional with mixing tips. Tips: If you've never used it before just make certain the two chemicals are mixed thoroughly to avoid inadequate bonding. Test glue some scrap before using on your armor. Familiarize yourself with how it is mixed, applied and cleaned up. Plastic welder will start to melt plastic upon contact so be careful how and where you apply it. Especially in joint areas remove any excess immediately if possible to avoid a ton of sanding later. Have fun
  10. Anthony thanks for the kudos brother. It's good to know this thread is still having a positive impact
  11. E6000 usage, only in areas where armor flexibility has no adverse effects on fillers and paint. My main use of E6000 was on the buckle greeblies and attaching suspension harness components. I also used a bit on my ab box mounting posts and the center boxes on the waist belt where they have a rubber base which requires adhesive that has high flexibility. I only used CA glue in a couple minor areas where I found using the plastic weld would be a waste. Areas that wouldn't be seen or effect any paint. Even all the accuracy and reinforcement updates were made using plastic weld. In a nutshell: Plastic welder for 95% of the armor assembly E6000 for 4% CA 1%
  12. Very cool, congratulations Antonio
  13. Congrats Joe, excellent work trooper
  14. Well for starters ATA ammo belts like other armor aren't perfectly symmetrical. It doesn't need to be straight and it definitely doesn't need to be sitting over the cover strip. From the movie point of view it can be sitting straight forward, upwards a bit or even downwards (not commonly used though acceptable). To be honest your ammo belt may be a bit short but not too short for approvals. My suggestion, start on the left side then wrap it straight around the front ending on the right side. Here a few pics of the movie armor.
  15. Yes, and it's very common
  16. Well, if it happens I'll let you know
  17. Alright Jose thank you for your Centurion application. A big thank you for performing the suggested and required repairs. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted. It has been determined that your armor displays all the necessary requirements to qualify for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion!. Excellent job! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we'd normally take a moment to suggest armor adjustments made by your fellow troopers or us however, we have nothing to add except for ... Regarding your shin assembly that was mentioned in another app. After careful consideration we did not find anything wrong with your shins worth holding you back from a Centurion badge. I for one own ATA armor and know it would be a bit difficult to assemble them incorrectly, and my shins look similar to yours. If mine were good enough for Gaz then, yours are good enough for us now.
  18. GETTING REAL!
  19. Looking good Brian. As mention by your fellow trooper you've obviously done your homework. Let us know if there's anything we can help with.
  20. Yea, what they said
