  1. In a nut shell... For the beginner and novice - E6000 is what you seek Even before your armor arrives start here - http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/ and here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/31-costuming-and-builds-501st/. Read, read, read, ask questions then read some more. Some of us are grandpas, or at least old enough to be one
  2. Hey Josh, personally speaking if built correctly it should feel relatively comfortable when wearing but I'm not sure it's possible to fully suit up by yourself and still have the armor look uniform. I'm sure it's possible but it was impossible for me and I'm pretty limber.
  3. Glad to be of assistance Tyler. When you're ready please post a build thread so we can follow along.
  4. Another reason to redirect everyone to the FISD. The attitude of some of the applicants Andrew and myself have to deal with is astounding. You want to play in the big leagues, play by the rules. Is it a perfect system? no. Is there room for improvement ? always. We have a CRL in place (though not perfect), it's a spectacular guideline. We have a photo gallery with 1000s of movie screen and back stage images. We have loads of knowledgeable builders who will, for the most part, steer you in the right direction an/or give you the correct advice. The times I visited the FB group and tried to pass on some advice I was mainly ignored. People want to hear what they want to hear. Most there want to take the easy route then get upset with us when instructed to make changes for basic and higher levels of approval. People need to understand just because you have a set of armor doesn't entitle you to basic 501st approval nonetheless EI or Centurion. Sorry for the rant

  8. Hey Cody, welcome and Thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion could affect any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few suggestions here, though minor they are worth taking a 2nd look at. I'm sure it's just a photo issue but take another look at your left bell. It appears to be farther away from your chest than the right side. You may need to make an adjustment, or not. Next area is the lower chest return edge, it should be a little thinner however, it's not a deal breaker either. If it's easy to trim without weakening the bracket mounts then I'd say yes trim it back a bit. Reference photo Ab overlap. It appears you have so much extra plastic in this area you could easily trim it off at the return edge seam line and move the rivets over. This would fix the overlap look and make the area look cleaner. Reference photos Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Here we raise the bar quite a bit as we're looking for screen accuracy. The above comments regarding the ab to kidney connection will be highly encourage you remedy however, the accuracy is ultimately up to the trooper. BTW, excellent job on your build, hope to see you at the next level

  14. Hey Kenny, when trimming it's best to take an equal amount from both sides.
