  10. Hey Roy, welcome. Thank you for making the required repairs and thank you for your EI application . CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. In our ongoing quest to help troopers make their armor as accurate as possible we have a couple suggestions. The left rear shoulder bell edge (as illustrated) appears to be flaring out, or possibly a bad photo maybe? Either way take a look at it and double check, the may be a minor adjustment needed. The gap between the biceps and forearms should be roughly 1/2". Reducing the gap is what we're looking for. This could be as simple adjustment. Here's a reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here and since you've made our job easy (thank you) we have nothing to add. We hope to see you at Centurion soon . Congratulations once again trooper
  11. Yes. Here's a movie armor reference photo. It can look like these or similar. NOTE: It doesn't have to be exact.
  12. Congrats Pete, welcome to the FISD.
  13. Finishing up your app as we speak . We'll be with you shortly
  14. Great info and well said Chris
  15. Thanks for the feedback Mike. With all the negative that Anovos gets hammered with this is refreshing. Not that I'm a huge fan of Anovos but there's hundreds if not thousands of individuals that bought this armor in hopes it will stand the test of time. As for life expectancy it doesn't matter if it's Anovos, RS, TM, ATA or other, different strokes for different folks. What may work for some may not for all and there's no life expectancy with any armor mfg that I'm aware of. I will say if you assemble it correctly and maintain it regularly most armor will (should) last you a few years. That said, we've had a few more mfgs pop in the last couple years. It will be interesting to see how they hold up compared to vetted versions.
  16. Our pleasure. Weathering, except of the backpack and pauldron as discussed I personally think you have a nice balance. Very nice work . No worries on the photo you're fine. Let us know if we can be of assistance.
  17. Hi Sarah, welcome to you EIB review. Thank you for your application. Let's get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Great to see another HWT. Welcome and congratulations! . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Since this section is used to enhance to overall look of your armor we have a few requests. 1) Starting from the top and working our way down. Beautiful job on your HWT build and weathering except you forgot to weather your pauldron . I know it looks awesome nice and clean but it need some dirt lol . 2) Since we're on the topic of weathering, the beautifully built backpack weathering could use a little refinement. What I mean by that is we see you added paint blotches to simulate dirt or scuff marks but it's inconsistent with the rest of your armor. Our suggestion is to either remove or paint over them, or dirty them giving them a scuffed dirty look. 3) Waist belt too high. The waist belt should either slightly cover the lowest ab buttons or reside just below them. We're suggesting you drop your belt a bit. We also highly recommend you fix this prior to submitting for Centurion, if you planning on submitting. We want you to look as accurate as possible at that level . Reference photos 4) Thigh halves offset. We were trying to figure out why the upper thigh cover strip was tapered so dramatically then we noticed the lower return edge lines are offset by 1/4"+. The offset is causing the thigh ammo pack to sit lower on one side of the thigh than the other, among other things. The correction is NOT mandatory but it's suggested you reassemble the thighs to correct the issue. Reference photos Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have nothing to add. That's it. Excellent job on your build, hope to see you at Centurion.
  18. Dude, you really need to change your scree name to Packmaster
  19. Looking good trooper. Just breath we'll get through this together. Little advice regarding the ab buttons, make sure the outer edges do not overlap the Ab mounting base, they should fit just inside. It's also suggested paint and install these last to avoid being scratched. Keep up the good work. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for the review Paul. As with you I love my hyperfirm especially on those long troops but as you also mentioned the lack in some details leaves me wanting more. Time for an upgrade. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. Trooper helping troopers, thanks Joseph Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks Logan. We have a couple requests before we can move forward. Though not mentioned in the CRL the TD screws will need to be painted black, but this should be a quick and easy fix. Here's a reference photo It also appears the ammo belt is attached to the thigh using pop rivets. Unfortunately pop rivets are not allowed at the EI level. The CRL states: For level two certification (if applicable): Thigh ammo belt is attached to thigh with a solid head rivet or fastener in the upper corner and fastened to the lower thigh ridge. The solid head rivet attachment is painted white. Standard pop rivets are not allowed The pop rivets will need to be replaced with cap rivets or similar. There are a couple sellers here on whitearmor that have the correct versions. There are also countless build threads illustrating their installation. If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask. Here's a couple reference photos
