  2. I think I just hear the wife say "What in the H@#$ did you do to my ironing board and lawn furniture" lol Looking good
  3. Hey Brian, Andrew or myself will be with you shortly.
  4. It's perfectly acceptable at all levels of approval
  5. Looks awesome! Nice job, and oh congrats on L3
  6. Hey Nate welcome. Sorry for the delay. Thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Sly and myself would like tot welcome you trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas we think need correction. Starting with the shoulder bells, though not bad we do like to see them a little closer to the shoulder covers. Shortening the connection strap should bring them closer. Reference photo Lower chest plate return edge. Again, not a deal breaker but unless your using connecting brackets you could almost trim 1/4" off the area illustrated. Waist belt low. The ammo belt portion technically shouldn't reside any lower than at the lowest button. We're suggesting you bring it up. This is an area we're critical on during Centurion applications. Reference photo Thermal detonator width. The overall length should be 7-1/2". We're not going to make you pull out a ruler here, it just appears your may be wider. If it is we encourage you to shorten it. Back to kidney gap. There should be little to no gap here. Here's another area where tightening the connecting straps should remedy the concern. This is another area we'll be critical on at Centurion Reference photo Calf cover strip too long? It's a bit hard to tell in the low res photos but it appears the cover strips are extended over the upper calf return edge, they should stop just below it. If they're too long you'll need to trim them down. This is also an area we look at really hard during Centurion apps. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: Because you have supplied a full Centurion level set of photos it has made this an easy process for suggestions and modifications. Drop box alignment off. According to the CRL the drop boxes should be aligned with the edge of the ammo belt. Simply gluing the connecting strap to the cloth belt in the right location should permanently solve this issue. Reference photo Excellent work on your build Hope to see you at Centurion
  7. Thanks Nate we'll be with you shortly
  8. Can never have too many tutorials in my opinion. That said, remember some peeps will follow your build to the letter, correct and incorrect
  9. Congrats Michael. This was awesome Joseph . Projects like this make the FISD fun and will hopefully draw more people here.
  10. Correct however, if you trim the lower edge of the thigh, up to the cover strip itself giving yourself more walking room then you'll kill two birds with one stone.
  11. Wow the snaps you have look military grade Paul. I use DOT or Fasnap because they are some of the strongest money can buy without breaking the bank. I've been able to mix these two products with others and they seems to work well, not sure they'll work with yours though. Just had a fellow garrison member over yesterday doing some repairs to his armor, he had Tandy males installed and I used female DOTs. They were a bit tough to connect at first but one thing for certain they're not going to disconnect during a troop. lol
  12. Yes sir that is correct. This style of rivet is not excepted at EIB or Centurion. Yes
  13. It's a photobucket issue, try to post it again in a bit later
  14. Mine cost me $450 with electronics.
  15. Hey Omar welcome, as Joseph mentioned Anovos armor if built correctly is accepted at all levels of approval. Joseph also mentioned it's very thin, that's an understatement. As nice as the armor is it does have it's drawback. For the money most people find it a no brainer, even some veterans. Bottom line, do your homework, research, research. I recommend starting here when it comes to armor. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ May the 4th be with you
  16. Common Pete, this is an relatively simple fix, you can do it brother.
