1. Depends what you want to do with it. If you're looking at joining the 501st Legion, then those costumes won't do without a lot of modifications. There's a pinned topic in regards to vetted vendors, try and find one that's right for you. If you're only looking at wearing a Halloween type costume, those will suffice...
501st armour looks as though we were on the sets of the movies we portray, we go for screen accuracy in 3 different levels. Those two sellers, don't even meet level 1 of screen accuracy...
Sorry for the disappointment...
2. I do street patrol every Halloween lol past few have been taking my kids around, last one was just myself.
3. My opinion here, drinking alcohol and wearing armour, is almost like drinking alcohol and going close to water... It doesn't mix... Water with alcohol, swimming/boating, is asking for trouble. Wearing armour and consuming alcohol, I feel is doing the same. Do you really want to take the chance, and find out you fall, or trip, and crack something?
Personally, I'd rather show up, get suited up, or show up in armour, then if I want to consume alcohol, take the armour off. Personally, I have too much fun in the armour to consume these beverages... Up to you though, just stating my own opinions...
4. So do I, but we can't always get what we want... Cest la vie.
5. Get them while you can, these are awesome! In my opinion...
6. It's not movie accurate with materials... Would be my guess...
7. Well said. To me we are supposed to be somewhat military, should we not be following chain of command, and our Garrison CO/XO orders?
8. Rule of thumb for TK, no sitting... Those that can or do are few and far between... Most people, I think, don't wish to add unnecessary stress to their armour and cause cracks or breakages... The scene we see with Han on the death star with feet up, I think he was posed by others to be like that...
9. Use toilet before armour... General rule of thumb...
10. I've found the hard hat insert raises the bucket a little, and no chinstrap required... I keep mine loose so that I can use it other buckets...
11. It's in effect until LFL gives us notice to say otherwise. Leave blasters at home, do not bring them to a trooping event...

When kids ask to for me to take my blaster out, I usually say no, as would a police officer, or a soldier... We are military are we not? Sometimes I take it out for the "action shot" but it's usually holstered, with responses "it's against rules, or laws, to have a drawn weapon". To me it adds to the illusion of the Stormtrooper as being a real entity.
12. I've done something similar, but with using three tabs of Velcro for each eye. My hero lenses are one strip, but change these out with two flat smoky lenses so I can see while trooping. Velcro helps for the quick change.
13. Both hands on belt, or one hand over guest's shoulders and other on belt, or if two guests arms over shoulders, or if child, or shorter person, both hands on their shoulders when they're in front. If two kids, then one hand on their shoulder to either side works... Usually while trooping, my blaster is holstered, so this rule makes no difference really.
14. I took Aurebesh as a form of writing for Basic.... Basic being the trade language of the movies. It's something people from every galaxy would understand without formal training, being a trade written dialect. From an RPG point of view as well as movies, language written languages were never really emphasized (as Tolkien's were). Each alien species has their own language, but can they be written too? I'd assume some are, but it's never been specified...
15. Think I was looking owing at the same compression top and bottom in Amazon... Was thinking of purchasing a pair, will keep you informed if I do
16. I use the strap my Aker amp came with to hang around my neck. It's shortened so that it sits between chest and ab plates. Sometimes it gets hooked under the return edge of the ab plate, but it's not too bad, and doesn't move around much at all.
17. I usually take my two sons around suited up as a TK. They even request it as they get extra candy for the big guy on the sidewalk lol. This year my kids took off on their own, and I wondered about the area being the Halloween Security for the area lol.
18. No PSN yet, but am planning on it.
My PSN ID is TK2759
19. I use a piece of foams or each side, about 1.5" wide by 3.5" long and a 1/4" thick. It does the job running from top of ear to bottom of bucket... Using duct tape to keep it locked in place, did the trick for me...
20. Bit late in reply, ochre yellow is for rust... If you want to go this route... Otherwise the metal and black sprays are fine.

The blaster looks good so far, from what I can see in the pictures. No worries about overdoing things where safety is concerned. Better sa than sorry right?
21. Test fit looking good. Don't forget sniper plate is diamond, not triangle for TDs.
22. I have something similar to take bin as well. My bucket doesn't fit, and I wrap all my armour parts in bubble wrap... My bin doesn't have weeks, so it's a bit to make long hauls... I also drilled a hole to the front where the handle overlaps, so I could attack a lock. Smaller plastic bags hold the shins, forearms, each boot, belt, and soft armour parts. I tuck forearms into shoulder pieces, then wrap in bubble wrap, shins into thighs, then bubble wrap. I use industrial plastic bags for sliding chest, back, ab, and butt/kidney pieces, which I pack on the bottom. I also wrap blast in bubble wrap, and keep it in there.
Hope this helips some too...
23. Thought I'd add my two cents..
I use a Lycra bodysuit... In the cold weather I wear thermal underwear underneath... Works likes a charm, although if I know my troop will be inside and outside, I'll wear a t-shirt on my upper torso and long johns for legs. No worries about cold weather here... Just foggy lenses...
24. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=12360&costumeID=125

TK-2759

No pictures as of yet, GML is supposed to be updating page...
25. I've been here for a while and didn't even know what the post counts were... Thanks for the info and the question.
