I have one of his Scout helmet's ... it's made of fiberglass and i love it.. Service is excelent ... got a replacement front piece of the helmet for free.. Here's a picture i made for him once.. I still want one of his Stormtrooper helmets aswell, good price and overall good quallity. Got some nice weight to it, wich is perfect when handing to someone to look at.. Alway's wanted a EFX fiberglass helmet aswell, but you know the price on those... If you buy one of his, with a pre made foam for inside the helmet from ebay .. you are set. -
Any more E-11's around ?

Doopy E11 with working stock and other mods

Awesome build so far, can't see any flaws with it so far here's some help about your question. Yellow, green and red are the meassurements of what's visable. (not the actual full size of the parts itself) -

More accurate Sterling/E-11 paint finish
Tr00per replied to gazmosis's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Vern, Only the military issued Sterlings were flat black.. ''matt-finish'' All commercial sterlings are Wrinkled. Any other country like chillie or New zealand did what they did. (sten gun finish) That video you posted, i actually have a complete dvd. The video is of DVD #77 wich is about magazines.. I have #1384 (pic's below) ''Sterling Submachine guns'' The one you posted is wrinkle finished.. But just becouse the Quallity of the video is so bad ... it doesn't show.. Here's a close up sample of the video you posted.. #77 Yes, that's a wrinkled finish allright.. Also he uses unpainted Sterlings in my video's for dissasembly purpose etc.. Some pic's you posted are worn wrinkled finish sterlings, Other are indeed wrinkle... There is no bumpty or wavy textured sterling l2a3 mk4 released (ever) Most of the Sterlings pics you find on the internet are worn to there under finish, or even overpainted... That's what you see... Pic's from DvD #1384 Nice wrinkled finish Yup that's how a wrinkled new looking finish looks like. (1977 ANH) pic of han solo's blaster (wrinkled worn) 1966 sterling with worn wrinkled finish here's another example of wich one might think (in your case) ''Bumpty Texture'' Looks kinda bumpty right ? But when you look closer... Here's a picture of a MKIII folding stock finish in NOS condition.. (no, apex wich i also bought off, doesn't cut it) http://imgur.com/a/p7BSk Also i think it's safe to say that this Promo shot is using a Wrinkled finish Sterling: With typical worn signs on the butt stock, and sides of the magazine housing that show the parkerized finish under the wrinkled layer. http://i.imgur.com/MnWZuvR.jpg \ Most parts kits or whatever are so worn down... one might think ^^ I don't know about your source ... but mine is right. I even ''today'' asked a person who has a MK III, ''wich he alway's thought of it being black matt etc..'' to remove his pistol grip... and after all these years he found out today that his MKIII with a very nice serial (if i must say) has a wrinkled finish underneath his untouched removed pistol grip.... ''he was much surprised, i might add'' .. ..( a TK member on this forum) That's a MK3 ... And this is how he looked upon it..''above the surface'' Didn't bring the book in this yet ... if you wish i might addBut this is based on the book, with users picture's provided. Vern, i have no problems with your believing in it, it's your opinion... But this is how i see it... -

As far as i know, sterling plungers are not made from brass I was not talking about rust on the bolt btw, i was refuring to the golden color on the (Plunger)''Thnx for pointing that out couldn't get onto the word'' But now i get the idea behind it, people are mistaken it for brass. ''Brass is not magnetic, just tested the plunger with a magnet, and it picks up'' This Plunger get's allot of friction (as you can tell from the tip)... if it was brass, you would have to swap it every single shot fired. The bolt itself can rust (weather) for sure.... (no doubt about that) Was refuring ''lubrication'' on the Plunger wich has a spring attached to it wich should be lubricated'' Thought it had to resamble (weathering), but looks like it should look like brass, wich it should not.
-
I see allot of people making some area's golden color, when they are not suppose to be that... Is there a misread somewhere in any ''how to'' thread ? Or is it there to make the most lubricant part look rusted ? * talking about the sear pin (wich has a spring behind it) that never wears brow color wise from friction or anything else, even after decades. Ofcourse it's one's own choise, but it just doesn't seem logic when stiving for accuracy. The rest of the bolt looks ace btw!

My Hengstler 400 variations
Tr00per replied to TK-50101 Blue Snaggletooth's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
It's in perfect condition aswell.. I want stuff like this aswell one day, same with scopes etc... Put a nice dedicated display case tower for it with some nice lights... -
YOu have to understand the basic of the E-11 blaster itself first ... how parts move, how they work... in order to make something that is called ''accurate''. How many time's have i seen parts glued the wrong way around... when the info is here sinds the base of the E-11 is used worldwide.... sinds 1955 ? Then again, for a 3D print it looks pritty good considering'the whole printing concept is still fresh.. But calling it ''MOST ACCURATE MODEL OF E-11 BLASTER AVAILABLE ANYWHERE! '' in the listing.... is wrong Looks cool non the less for it's way it's bin made... Just not practical and accurate. The whole trigger group and the pistol grip that is over it is inaccurate... the left part of the silver painted bolt can use improvement with the recoil spring following behind. The folding stock is a good attempt, Like i said, pritty cool from a 3d printing machine.
