From the discussion it seemed that most remnant were dirty and weathered. As to difference that is debatable and may or may not form part of the same CRL's as a variant option. That's what make this all a stack of fun, working through those small pieces of information we have, and hoping to see more footage on these guys as the current series and new shows come to air. Well my fellow troopers, the day has arrived. 6th July 2021. We officially start to celebrate the past 15 year of life as a detachment. It's pretty incredible to think, that thousands upon thousands of members, 501st or otherwise have worked their way through these forums, leaving their mark on the way, and allowing us all to take a wonderful journey into the development and ever growing resource that FISD has become. We have the largest membership base, one of, if not the busiest forums in the legion, an attache program that reaches more garrisons than any other, and a mass of TK information photos and other resources that some others would be envious of. All this with so few costumes in comparison to many other detachments. I think you could say we are doing OK! To welcome in our anniversary celebrations, today we launched a few things to get everyone in the mood. Our Special edition news letter is now posted and the mass email out will begin. We have launched our new and improved Expert Infantry honor gallery and a new forum section for our Anthology and remnant soon new to legion costumes. July 6th 2021 Sometimes it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that a member stands apart from the rest, not on occasion but on a consistent basis. Glen Rhodes has dedicated an enormous part of his time to the members of this detachment and to maintenance and upkeep of these forums. He has been intrinsic in the revamp and clean up and given nothing less than 110% at everything he has applied himself to here at FISD. This will be the second time Glen has more than earned this accolade placing him in a very select group indeed. I believe his work and dedication shows clear merit. For the most part the system is back up and running, there are as couple of things still popping up like data storage and Caching issues, but for the most part things should be ok. A great thread and still very relevant and should continue to be so into the future. Do we have a comparison on the IB and Gio's boots (Crow Props). I know there are some visible differences with the pattern around the rubber base but would love to see a similar comparison made as this would suit both our future R1 and Anthology troopers as well as our First order troopers (same boot)

I’m confused, I thought we were discussing this for an ANH approval? Joseph are you suggesting we also axe the Airsoft from the R1 CRL as well unless it has the grip replaced?

Lets look at the wording for the ANH E-11 in the CRL Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. This does not change for EI as nothing is mentioned., Toy Stormtrooper blasters are not accurate in themselves and probably less accurate than your S & T. At Centurion it is clear that we don't accept modified toys or Bapty's as they are not accurate to ANH sterling, so that would also cover any blaster not accurate to the ANH Sterling which unfortunately also would cover any blaster S & T or otherwise with incorrect parts. Bapty-style, Hasbro and Rubies blasters are not allowed, even conversions. I think the CRL currently explains itself well enough, but I have no problem in adding additional items to the centurion list. We didn't have these available to members when this section of the CRL was written so not possible to exclude something that hadn't previously existed. I would certainly be adverse to requesting anyone modify an expensive Airsoft to a point it is no longer usable, therefor my recommendation would be to not use it in our high level approval.

Dave's work is solid, so you wont have any problems there. One thing to note is commission builds frequently need resizing to fit perfectly because there is only so much you can do without having the trooper there with you when working on accurate size. Dave will ask for a series of measurements to get it as close as possible, but what you miss out on ultimately is the experience of building it yourself. There is a whole bunch of satisfaction that comes with assembling your own kit, I cant stress that enough. Helmet fans make a difference for sure, and there are several systems available including what I make locally in Australia, so shoot me a PM if Glen can't help you out locally, and I'll give you some info on what I can offer. As to hearing and mic/amp systems, many of us use these, I have hearing assist and run a microphone and Aker Amp for volume, which works well in crowds like conventions etc. @ukswrath makes some excellent products so check out his threads for price and availability. Icomm units add modulation, static bursts to the amp set up but can be a little synonymous with malfunctioning after about 12 months. What was the RS blaster worth?, you may have better options with high end resin printed blaster these days as the old Doopy Doos kit which many of us have are very hard to come by now.

On an entirely separate subject, I noticed we don't have CrowProps (Gio) on the list for FOTK boots. I raise this as it seems you can not order FO TK boots from Imperial Boots currently, and Gio seems to be the only other option.
