A CertainTK ATA ANH Stunt Build (first build)
Sly11 replied to Matt Certain's topic in ANH Build Threads
Congratulations Matt, great to see you officially approved as a TK -
Hopefully we have someone on FISD that can share some Crow Props boot photos and we get your IB images and we can create a comparison that way. Ultimately I think it will help any looking for specific components. I'd love to see side by side comparisons of WTF v KB v 850 armour and the like so we have more FO information in one place to also help those looking to go down the First Order route.

One thing I noticed from your gallery photos is it looks like you might have your fore arms on the wrong arm. One has 11 dimples the other 12. If you take a look at some screen shots in our Gallery that will help you get those finer accuracy details you may like to have. Currently you have the 12 dimple on the left arm. You can also tell by the way the top of the fore arm tappers, as it should be high at elbow and taper down to the inside bend. I think you will find it a touch easier to bend your arms once swapped. Here is an example for you of the dimples that run down the outside of the forearm, but overall you have done a really nice job of your armour build sir -

Hi Paul, no sir, no height restrictions at all. We have troopers around the world of varying heights and builds so you have no issue at 6'4. Welcome to FISD! -
Awesome, nice and tidy Mario.

Congratulations and welcome aboard Trooper.

Just make sure you give those eye sockets a light sand so you dont have sharp edges or any lose material. If you put fans in your bucket a a small piece drops in it can get spun out of a fan and into your eye. Not a pleasant sensation at all, and you dont want to have to remover your helmet in public and spoil the illusion for the kids. Build is looking good so far, keep up the great work James.

You guys are too funny l I'll put it in for strong consideration and discussion in Staff area.

Hi Tim, I would definitely send a PM to the DO team as a first step to discuss what it is you wish bring up for further discussion. They may have the answers you seek already, and if not can start a discussion in the appropriate area to ready anything for potential change or update. Most CRL work starts with staff and extended staff in the IPM area, before key points are brought before the greater membership for further discussion and a possible Poll to see what changes will be made. We do try and include plenty in the process so there is a good understanding why some changes are under consideration and other not. I would add all 3 DO's to your PM, and if you wish, you can add me as well. -

Not so, they are planned for. Second half of the term focus goes back onto foundational work such as CRL updates and modification. That is also planned out in categories based on priority. Most needed. This is CRL's written that have not had a decent update or far more information has come to light and require a good amount of time spent getting them up to a better standard. Phasma fits this category as an example and hence is seen as major work and higher priority. Then we have New to legion,. These are written from ground zero and also require good photos that require photo shop work to be cut from their background and made ready for adding tho the CRL's They happen during a build of a new costume and get refined when the costume is complete. These can happen any time. Minor updates , descriptor and some image changes. These are generally older CRL's that have had work done as time passes and can generally get a member approved from base to lvl 3 as they stand. These are not of major concern and we are talking in many cases lvl 3 only. We will move to the foundational focus from August, so you can expect to see that kind of work taking place after we get through the work load that has been preparing for the anniversary of the detachment. Plenty happening , all planned out so we have the time and man power to get it done. -
From the discussion it seemed that most remnant were dirty and weathered. As to difference that is debatable and may or may not form part of the same CRL's as a variant option. That's what make this all a stack of fun, working through those small pieces of information we have, and hoping to see more footage on these guys as the current series and new shows come to air. Loads of room for good focused conversation so I am very pleased that you are happy with the launch of this area Jason

Well my fellow troopers, the day has arrived. 6th July 2021. We officially start to celebrate the past 15 year of life as a detachment. It's pretty incredible to think, that thousands upon thousands of members, 501st or otherwise have worked their way through these forums, leaving their mark on the way, and allowing us all to take a wonderful journey into the development and ever growing resource that FISD has become. We have the largest membership base, one of, if not the busiest forums in the legion, an attache program that reaches more garrisons than any other, and a mass of TK information photos and other resources that some others would be envious of. All this with so few costumes in comparison to many other detachments. I think you could say we are doing OK! To welcome in our anniversary celebrations, today we launched a few things to get everyone in the mood. Our Special edition news letter is now posted and the mass email out will begin. We have launched our new and improved Expert Infantry honor gallery and a new forum section for our Anthology and remnant soon new to legion costumes. Awarded our highest Detachment accolade, the FISD Achievement award. And last but not least, launched our Anniversary coin sales thread. If you wish to share the love and celebrate 15 years with us please feel free to use our Facebook frame created by TK85421 http://www.facebook.com/profilepicframes/?selected_overlay_id=271286071464787 Happy 15 years FISD

July 6th 2021 Sometimes it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that a member stands apart from the rest, not on occasion but on a consistent basis. Glen Rhodes has dedicated an enormous part of his time to the members of this detachment and to maintenance and upkeep of these forums. He has been intrinsic in the revamp and clean up and given nothing less than 110% at everything he has applied himself to here at FISD. This will be the second time Glen has more than earned this accolade placing him in a very select group indeed. I believe his work and dedication shows clear merit. For the most part the system is back up and running, there are as couple of things still popping up like data storage and Caching issues, but for the most part things should be ok. Mathias undertook another back up last night which can slow things down, but forum appearance and loading should be better now.

A great thread and still very relevant and should continue to be so into the future. Do we have a comparison on the IB and Gio's boots (Crow Props). I know there are some visible differences with the pattern around the rubber base but would love to see a similar comparison made as this would suit both our future R1 and Anthology troopers as well as our First order troopers (same boot)

Good to see this list growing with some solid number coming through now.

Legacy femTK build thread

This is coming together well, if anything you can probably reduce some of the return edge on the thighs for comfort.
