  1. Hi Brian, thank you for your EI application time to review your armour. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations from Tony and myself Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We would like to say great work on your armour and for taking on some of the suggestions made by Joseph, those calf closures look much better. Just a few more things to tweak so you look your best, so here we go. You still have an excessive gap between the top of the shoulder bell and the plastic shoulder bridges. This should be a very quick fix by simplel shortening those black elastic straps that connect them to the shoulder bridge strapping. These two armour pieces should be virtually touching each other. I have used one of your close up photos so you can see the gap we are talking about. Thjis adjustment is recomended on both the left and right shoulder reference image Ear screws on helmet: Anovos unfortunately supple the wrong type of screw for the ears. Theirs is a domed head flat blade, where a counter sunk V shape flat head, flat blade is what s seen on originals. Yes its a fine detail, but when you build a kit as well as you have, we are always going to recommend those little things be changed. reference image Kidney to back plate alignment. Now we are sure that these sit a little lop sided due to two things. The weight of the blaster on your hip, and probably the fact the strapping is Velcro. You can either replace those straps with a wide black elastic, or really tighten up the strapping on that side, as it places your Butt plate as well as the kidney plate off level. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you the best we can for a Centurion application, some elements may become more apparent to us in the extra images needed in a Centurion application, so follow the level 3 CRL and photo reference guide closely. Ultimately the final accuracy is up to the trooper. Drop box alignment: as per the Level 3 CRL For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box.If you can either dab a small amount of glue, or use adhesive Velcro between the drop box strap and the canvas belt, these will always stay in the perfect possition aligned at the ends of the plastic ammo belt. Reference image Thermal Det screws: On the originals, these screws were flat blade type and painted black. Its one of those things we really like to see at Centurion level, again as a fine detail. Reference Image Brian, please consider trimming the return edge out of the end of your fore arms, and making the suggested and required mods. You are worthy of Centurion and we would love to see you achieve it. Well done mate, would be proud to march along side you
  2. Hi Mark, nice work on the armour, could we please ask for photos of your belt laying out flat front and rear please.
  3. The words I want to use are not allowed in these chats lol, Loving it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. All the return edge must be removed, so yes trimming out the bump is needed for Centurion
  5. Where is the link so you can take my credits
  6. Have had a brief look at your application and Joseph is steering you in the right direction. There is no reason why you should not apply for Centurion down the track. Your armour looks great, you just need to fix a few minor things. Hopefully you will reconsider the Centurion application later on as I believe you have what it takes to do it.
  7. Great action photos Solomon, thank you.
  8. Hey Shane, thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a couple suggestions that will help with the overall look of your armor, For ease of this application, we will start at the helmet and work our way down. Some of the items in this list are a must fix for any future Centurion application so I will make mention of those again in the Centurion section. Overall this is a really nice build Shane, well done, all these little things below will be a breeze for you to correct. There is a little bit of surplus material in the eye sockets that can be trimmed out. We know the Anovos helmets come pre-built so I guess the finer details are what gets missed in mass production of an item. Next we look at the frown, this really should be tapered out to a point, so have posted some references below this image for you to choose from. (Fix for Centurion) We did notice you fixed up the Vocoder in your application, so thank you, iyt looks more defined and much better Another mod you can make, although not a deal breaker, is to change out the fine mesh in the Hovi tips to a larger gauge like the originals. Have added a reference imageb elow for those for you to have a think about. Frown references Hovi mesh reference The ear screws are another one of those tiny little details that can be replaced. The actual type of screw is a Flat blade , flat head counter sunk or V shaped variety, not like the dome head flat mount that Anovos supply. Reference Next up is a tiny strap adjustment, although this may only be caused by the weight of your blaster on your hip, but perhaps shorten that outer most strap so the Back plate sits evenly on the kidney plate and its perfect. A while back it was determined by the Detachment staff that the Anovos belt was too thin and just doesn't sit nicely, but also the fact it had to be patched up to fit the CRL for a Stunt TK. Unfortunately, this belt needs to be replaced as a Centurion requirement. We have a few very good suppliers right here in FISD so ask around and you will be steered in the right direction. Also the positioning of your belt is quite low in the front and should sit over the base of or even a slight overlap on the lowest button of the main Ab button plate. Reference for position While we are on the belt you have two minor drop box adjustments which are Centurion requirements. First, the boxes must be aligned with the ends of the belt. We can see by some of your photos that they move around a bit, so a dab of glue or some adhesive backed Velcro can stop them from moving inwards. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. The Left hand drop box also appears to be lower than the other. Make sure these are virtually if not touching the bottom of the plastic ammo belt. Reference belt allignment Last of all , paint those screws on the Thermal Det black, for that screen accuracy that we really like to see in every Centurion application Reference Thermal Det Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We do one area that will need to be address before applying for Centurion if you choose to do so. Recap on Suggestions and must fix: Helmet details: Frown Must fix Hovi mesh Suggestion Belt details: Replaces Anovos belt Must fix Drop Box alignment Must fix Gap in Back and Kidney plate Suggestion Thermal Det Must Fix Although some of the suggestions above are not deal breakers for a Centurion application, we think you can absolutely smash those as well as the CRL requirements that must be changed. After all, Centurions want to look as good as they can and if you can build a TK kit as well as you have, there is no reason not to go all the way. Check the Lvl 3 CRL requirements, and the photo check list to make sure you have everything you need for a smooth application and review. Congrats once again Shane, we hope to see you in Centurion review soon. :salute:
  9. if you could replace the originals it would be awesome. Thanks Shane
  10. Hi Shane Sorry but we are going to ask you to change those hand plates over. Your action shot gets used in another section of our forums so might as well suit up and take a new one of those. 5 images total that you need to replace. Front on, Action shot, front on helmet off, left side and right side shots. Thank you
  11. Hey Solomon, we thank you for your patience lets get into your EI review. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We do have some things to go over so here we go. For ease of this application we shall start from the Helmet and work down from there. An Anovos helmet in it's original out of the box form, does need some refinement to bring it up to scratch. Many of the Anovos applicants to pass through EI and onto Centurion were suggested to make the corrections we're about to discuss. Some will be required to be repaired before submitting for Centurion if you choose to do so. That being said, the accuracy is still ultimately up to the trooper. It appears there is quite a bit of material left that can be trimmed and tidied up in the eye socket, I am referring to this small return at the top and towards the inner most part of the eyes. Moving down to the frown, we see that the gray paint stops short instead of tapering out to a point (Please refer to below image of screen used helmets) Must fix for Centurion Now we look at the Hovi tips and Vocoder The supplied mesh is very fine and can be upgraded to a larger gauge. The Vocoder, although not to bad on your helmet, can still have a slightly more defined edge. (again refer to the images below of screen used helmet) Reference images for examples of how to finish the ends of the frown. Turning to the side of the helmet and looking at the ear screws. These are domed head type and should be replaced with "V" style, flat head and slotted. You can find these on Trooperbay. You are required to have the drop boxes aligned with the ends of the plastic ammo belt. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. While we are discussing the belt, this is a more difficult request. We commend you for making the required EIB belt modifications for ANH Stunt however, the cloth portion of the belt still does not meet Centurion requirements and we're requesting you replace it with one that is more screen accurate. There are a couple suppliers out there, TKittle for example. You can find them in the sales section. There's also a couple tutorials illustrating how to replace it if you're not sure how to perform this modification. Judging by your build this shouldn't be too difficult for you. Alignment of Ab and Kidney plate: Both these plates should be aligned at the top so the rivets are parallel and not offset. This may only be a dressing issue, but something to keep an eye on when having new photos taken for Centurion Well that's it Solomon, congratulations man, you made it to Expert Infantry!! Next step Centurion. Only a small amount of work to be done however we are very confident you will smash that out and we shall see you in Centurion review soon.
  12. Hey Aaron welcome to your EI review, lets get into it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for level 2. Welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Great job on the armour Sir, your looking superb. We have a few very minor adjustment suggestions that have no bearing on your approval. These are only dressing issues. and will get you looking the best you can. 1. Even out how your forearms are sitting. 2. wear the ammo belt a fraction higher in the middle. 3. Tighten or shorten the straps between back and kidney plates. 4. Trim the corners off the fore arm rear cover strips. These are very self explanatory and highlighted in the two images below Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. Honestly unless anything becomes apparent in the extra images that are required in the Centurion application, this should be easy for you to achieve. Thank you for taking on all the advice given by your fellow troopers, it has helped you create a very impressive build. See you in Centurion review Trooper :salute:
  13. Ok I can use that one BUT.... I need a proper action shot as it gets used in another part of the forums. You should be able to see that section up and running again in the not to distant future, so please post it to this thread when you can and let me know.
  14. Alright Kris let's get into it! Thank you for your Centurion application and thank you for making the suggested adjustments on your EIB application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the elements as set out in the level 3 CRL. Ukswrath and myself would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion rank. Awesome job Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: If we were to suggest anything, it would be to wear the ammo belt just a touch higher Another Centurion for Australia, congrats man
  15. Well it is the epitome of FISD after all. If it's on or looks like a TK, we are all over it. Stormtrooper and Star Wars knows no boundaries. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Hi Solomon, we have one thing to ask of you. Can you please post a new action shot with your DLT19. Thank you
  17. Hey Rob welcome to your Centurion review, thank you for your application lets lock it down. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Thank you for making the suggested modifications and adjustment as mentioned in your EI application. Your armour contains all necessary elements to qualify you for Centurion, Ukswrath and I would like to welcome you to the rank, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Nothing to add here. You have done a wonderful job on that AM 2.0 armor trooper, continue to make the OLG proud
  18. Thank you Soloman, I got your PM, we will get on to your application shortly.
  19. Congratulation, that pack is awesome!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. So, what state will you be living in, the Redbacks cover Queensland, so I'm assuming that is where you are heading. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. It's all good Rob, I fixed the title for you
  22. Hi Will The gap between your back and Kidney plates poses no issue for Expert Infantry. Unfortunately for Centurion, the two really will need to be sitting directly on top of each other, we pick on gaps that are at 1 cm and ask for straps to be shortened or similar. As mentioned in some of the comments above, the ideal fix would be to remove the shoulder bridges, and re set them further up the chest plate. This would in turn allow you to position the back plate lower and reduce the gap.
  23. Welcome aboard Kelly, looking forward to seeing your Phasma take shape.
  24. Well deserved, as were all the entries. Looking forward to some more merch
  25. Hey Rob welcome and thank you for your EI application. Lets hit it!! We have a couple minor suggestions to mention here. We want to start by saying, Wow, this is a nice AM 2.0 build!! Clean, tidy and in balance great work Robert. Lets kick off the few adjustments that will make you look the best you can. We think the shoulder bells can still come in some at the top, shorten up the top straps that connect the Bells to the elastic under the plastic shoulder bridges and they will sit just right. Reference Image May we suggest you flip the Chicago screws around so the opposite side is showing and the blade screw end is on the inside of the belt. If you are worried about them scratching your armour, you could always use some adhesive backed Velcro ( the soft half) and stick it to those screw heads. Thank you for the updated images of your Thermal Det and E-11, also great work. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. A good review is one where the applicant has done their research, it also leaves us with minimal if any suggestions to make for Centurion. We only have one. Your drop boxes look to free float and possibly slide around out of possition. A little dab of glue or some adhesive Velcro will keep these in position, aligned with the very ends of the plastic ammo belt. For level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. reference Image That's it, you are know Expert Infantry, Congrats and hope to see you in Centurion review soon! Congratulations
