  1. Love the Hero look - well done!
  2. Nice job - can't wait to see this get approved.
  3. Nice build! Best of luck on your TFA EI application.
  4. Great job Glen! Can't wait to see this fully approved.
  5. Thanks Darren - these photos are great! It's wonderful to see this application - you look great in armor.
  6. OK, so I think we're about ready to get started on updating the CRL. Are you guys ready? Here is a teaser pix to get started.
  7. Thanks Mathias for bringing this up. It's an important topic and one that the CRLs haven't really pointed out as it hasn't come up much in the past, but we wanted to let everyone know of this pending change a few days before baking the CRL. Any questions or comments?
  8. Deployment Officers, you may begin your approvals.
  9. I think for now if it's not an issue, let it be. We don't talk about it much in the CRLs for other costumes and I think we have enough to go on for now.
  10. This is the most realistic, likely explanation I've read in 40 years regarding this subject.
  11. Done. Baked. Unless there is something egregious, these are *done*.
  12. OK, at this point I'm baking it. We'll get any changes in the next round, unless there is something really egregious.
  13. No, and this is only for L1.
  14. Good call - removed.
  15. Removed.
  16. Nice! I updated your record for you - you should see the full board now.
  17. Deployed troops are now all going to MEPD. The pack ones will all be there and the CRL is getting finalized. Today is the last day I'll take changes to the R1 and then it's baked for the rest of the election year at least. MEPD needs our final version for theirs, and we need to allow people to get approved, EI, etc. for awhile before we see if the result is too easy or too hard.
  18. I had a similar problem with my old FX lenses. I commissioned Mike A. to make a Hero helmet for me some years ago, and he custom made a set using boiling water, thick gloves, and his thumb (or maybe it was a spoon, I forget). The ones he made were awesome and I could wear them without any headache at all. I think John Danter used to make them too, and I'm not sure if TM's are for show (like FX) or for use (like Applings). Maybe he'll chime in. CFO also makes ROTJ costumes which need bubble lenses, so may have some thoughts as well. In any event it's certainly possible to get a set that is usable, though you may have to make them yourself.
  19. Yup, my error, I'll ensure that's added too.
  20. Here is what I have so far: Change #1 Helmet (reword tears/traps) L3: Add : Tear vertical lines will be cut indents, not stickers. Change #2 Bicep (remove statement prohibiting overlap) L3: Remove entry. Change #3 (back plate) L3: Add : The back panel has a rectangular cutout placed on top of the raised area which is slightly smaller in dimension along the outer edges. Is L3 too easy do people think?
  21. Yes, I like it.
  22. I thought about it, and you can bevel the edges yourself with a belt sander, or even just sandpaper. I want to keep them as it is as it is a very distinguishing part of the costume, and also that I am confident where there is a need, a vendor will find a way. Bet you once this is baked people will start selling ANH conversion cover strip kits. FYI, I'm will make any last changes as needed this weekend, and after that will leave it alone. MEPD needs to have these baked too, and once we start actually seeing EI/Centurion applicants we can decide to make any adjustments next year.
  23. I'm going to defer that call for L3 on the TFA unless you guys think it's worth the push. Also, FYI that after this weekend I'm going to consider these L2/L3 *baked* for the rest of this term, as we need to move on to other things, and can always adjust them next year if we find they are too easy/hard. IOW, consider this holiday weekend a "last call" for FOTK CRL adjustments for L2/L3 only.
  24. Which? That's mostly what this is about.
