  1. The can on the back has also been referred to as an O2 (oxygen) cannister, so it's up to choice I think. Personally I'd take what starwars.com says with a grain of salt. Having suit controls on your ab plate (you ever try to look at them things?) is a silly location. I suspect with a little effort we can come up with better explanations that whatever schmuck came up with what's in the vis dic.
  2. Kudos to Chris - it was his hard work that made it happen. And... Thank the maker we were able to recover the database!
  3. OK, that just went on my Christmas list right behind a new TE2 helmet in ESB configuration ;-)
  4. I think the poll should be multiple choice.
  5. Arlo & Sean - the blast doors have been opened unto you. Arlo - the ranks are based on post counts and nothing more. The only exceptions are Command Staff deployed stormtroopers. Also - don't forget to introduced yourselves in the newbie area so we can get to know you better.
  6. I've yet to hear heard a sound system that's better than RomFx - it truly is the shiz. That said at $260USD each, I can get a whole TK4205 helmet kit plus some upgrades (like that $10 static burst) and it takes an iPod input for parades. Or I can get two Skullworx kits and tweak them as needed.
  7. Betrayed by my apprentice, I am! :vader1: No. Sell my landspeder I will to convince TK4205 to do it. But ever since the XP-38 came out, they're just not in demand, so it may be awhile.
  8. Soon I will have sound in my helmet. Soon I will reveal my voice to the masses...
  9. Done! Still need his and Chazz' pix tho'. Congrats Kent
  10. Awesome work. I know I'd be down when you do a run!
  11. It keeps getting better and better
  12. The lenses are mixed compared to the teeth. It's six teeth + smoke bubbles, or eight teeth + flat green ones. It's a tiny detail, as otherwise the suit looks great.
  13. Saw this in person and it's really tight.
  14. All set Simon - let's see some pix - you're GWL hasn't posted them yet!
  15. ANH helmets can vary a lot in how they're assembled as well as how they're pulled. Between three TE2s, an AP, and an RT mod, the one that had the most room was a TE2. And the one that had the least room was...a TE2. Perhaps the one you tried on just needed more neck cut out? W/o being there, who's to say. I'm having a hard time understanding how making an FX bucket be deployment ready be expensive or hard. At most what are you talking about - a new set of decals & some new hovis. Or am I missing something?
  16. Hey Steve - the SciFire guys are doing a run of HF weapons at some really nice prices. http://www.mepd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2955 The price for the MG-34 is insanely cheap considering they used to Ebay for over $500. E-11's at $225 are also a steal. For the bucket, I'd recommend RT or AP as both are ABS and nice lids (though I'm partial to AP) and will work perfectly with your FX armor.
  17. Exactly one year ago today whitearmor.net was born. Ah the good old days - may they never return! This forum has experienced tremendous growth over the past 12 months and has become a Force to be reckoned with. I'd like to take the time to pay honor to a few folks who made that happen: TK4205 - the first person aside from myself to register on these boards. Wyatt's been a huge FISD supporter from the very beginning. V'Pier - without him the board would look like crap. Greg stepped up and got these boards into shape! Webmaster extraordinary! Army Scout - who helped me figure out the intricacies of Invision forums and has always been there to step up and lend a hand. Ed & Carlos - who've been part of the FISD staff since there was staff. And lastly a shout to the folks at Garrison Titan, Cloud City Garrison, and MEPD who were members here before most others and kept my morale going during the early periods of low traffic. The past 12 months have been a great ride, and I expect the upward trend to continue on. Happy birthday WAN!
  18. I'll change my suggestion to "Veteran", so someone could be deployed as an FISD Veteran. If later people want to have a movie signifier, it's easily expandable to: FISD Tantive Veteran FISD Bespin Veteran FISD Endor Veteran This is in keeping with the concept that "deployed" is a verb, or can be used as short hand.
  19. Even I get boarded sometimes, and there are no guarantees. Actually I've had this suit for some time and only finally gotten to the point where it met requirements. Still some more tweaks to go - you're never done, are you?
  20. True, and also in that there are so many more stormtroopers in the 501st. IIRC at MEPD part of the success isn't so much that existing members upgraded to the standard (though that is happening), but more than each new person who goes sandy goes MEPD standard from the start. I suspect we'll see something similar, perhaps not so much that existing 501st upgrade their suits, but that new people coming in will go for the standard to start with.
  21. I'd share my trooping pix but ended up being a stand-in for a :vader1:
