  1. That's insanely beautiful. You are one lucky trooper!
  2. Lots if not correctly done. Things I'd still check for: 1) Button colors not correctly painted 2) Incorrect blaster 3) Non-canvas belt 4) Holster mounted on wrong side or with visible straps on the outside of the belt 5) Incorrect colored traps/tears 6) Incorrect colored tube stripes 7) Mis-matched hero/stunt details (e.g. flat green lenses + three teeth per side) 8) Mis-matched movie details (grey traps + black frown with lips painted) 9) Snow trooper hand plates on an otherwise ANH trooper 10) Incorrect mic tips 11) Riveting the shoulder straps That's off the top of my head...
  3. Unless I beat you both to it. Mine will debut this weekend
  4. Actually for my own sanity - please keep one person's app per thread.
  5. Also, you can load up an ANH sized helmet with items if you do it right. TK4205 has an RT with fans and speaker system. And one of my garrison-mates rigged his TE2 complete with a RomFX - battery boxes and all - plus padding. There's certainly less room to work with and it takes more time/skill, but the line that only an FX can accommodate accessories is a myth, pure and simple.
  6. Opened again. Behave... :vader1:
  7. With the canvas you get a double lock - first using industrial velcro and second from the fact that the thermal detonator clips on to the belt.
  8. I used leather for my TD and TK4205 just finished tailoring my canvas one for my TE2 TK. I'd never go back to plastic after moving off of it. As mentioned though, the plastic belt is readily cannibalized for snap plates or shims
  9. Keep in mind that it's against detachment policy reveal armor sources. This is not a place to ask that question. Your best bet would be to discuss this with your local garrison.
  10. I used snaps when I had a plastic belt.
  11. It looks fantastic on most troops 6'0" and under. I did it for my TD. It's one of the most common upgrades to the FX kit.
  12. It may be some day that the standards are tightened down to preclude the Hasbro, but we felt it was better to just include the relevant details for now and see what people do with them (people one these boards can be really innovative). In this case - that's a nicely modded Hasbro and I'd give it a pass My only quibble is that I'd prefer the frown paint to be even more minimal as seen on the following reference pix: Note how there is a little white on the actual frown itself, and the gray terminates just past the third tooth whereas on yours it goes all the way to the edge. Fix that & I think your set. This is a excellent example of how an FX kit can be upgraded to look fantastic - you should be really proud of your work.
  13. High Density Polyethylene. Man, wish I had some spare cash to get me one - these are totally sweet.
  14. You got that right! Two fantastic baddies and their deaths are pretty lame. Then again, most SW movies deaths are. Very few meet their end well under Lucas.
  15. Never thought much of Tusken Raiders, but after seeing this I'm gaining a new respect: http://www.kraytclan.com/forum/ is actually kinda addicting
  16. Yup, just two. Total TK's in the 501st: 1797 Total TK's in the 501st with a picture: 1304 Total TK's registered on the detachment: 102 Total TK's with Mark status: 2
  17. Looks like it meets all criteria to me. Anyone else?
  18. At your height I'd stay away from FX. Even after trimming the chest will be dis-proportionate and you'll just end up replacing a lot of parts, so it's not very cost effective. Go with TM/AP/TE2/RT as best suits your budget for sure.
  19. All set Ben - feel free to share some pix of you in armor while your profile is being updated. You UK boys always go for a high bar.
  20. There's a TAP Plastics in the here in Bellevue, WA that all the local folks go to get extra ABS. I'm sure there is a local plastics supplier near you as well.
  21. Howdy Brad! One of the fun parts of being GML is having to hop on quite a few boards you'd not otherwise visit, isn't it? You did a nice job on your clone, so you should have no problem with a TK (or TX). We're a bit partial to the TK as you might imagine. There's a surprising bunch of mods & options that can be done on this vanilla suit of ours. Feel free to ask questions anytime!
  22. It's pretty unhealthy to get an ego in this hobby. I like BraksBuddy's sig from MEPD ---------- Seth may not be FISD DL today, but next year he could be. Or perhaps Ed. Or Bernard. Or someone who hasn't even registered on this board yet. Everyone has something special to contribute. Today's power ranger is tomorrow's ninja turtle, to paraphrase the (at the time very powerful) Newt Gingritch (and where is he now?).
