  1. Hey Luis - I think the base armor can be made to be acceptable, just will need a lot more trimming. We have a smaller guy in our garrison and he made his work - just took some time. The helmet is another story, though I know some GML's would let is pass, I wouldn't.
  2. You can trim the crap out of it so it fits, but parts will still be out of proportion and he'll eventually want to upgrade it all to a smaller ANH sized set. I'd recommend AP as a start. Else I think you can make it work, but will want to replace the belt/chest/back. No matter what, that bucket has to go. At least, I'd never approve it as-is as GML with such a disproportionate lid.
  3. Matt's solution is kick. However I'm surprised that the snaps are not holding. Mine have held for several years including doing the Rose Parade, without a single malfunction.
  4. Don't get me wrong - it's a cool point of pride for the UK garrison and anyone trying to imitate it will just look like posers. But, canon it's not.
  5. What the UK garrison does in it's own territory is the UK garrison's business, but - and Rome can correct me if I'm mistaken - the official stance is that at canon events such extras are not allowed. Else, what's the point of canon if any group can define it?
  6. They are TE2 parts.
  7. Probably because the guy who made the vis dic never had to actually wear a helmet for 12 hours.
  8. My bucket is minimalist, but I have to say the more I see these "finished" buckets, the more I want mine done the same way
  9. Congrats on the birth of your son! Swingman's run about 1/2 a size big in my experience. I ended up just buying a pair of black Jodhpur boots that fit me well and dying them.
  10. Pretty cool Wyatt. I remember the last time you made a belt from the secret flexible plastic formula. Hopefully one day you'll complete molds for the rest of the suit
  11. Maybe WhiteCommando can chime in? If JM doesn't want to produce them, perhaps he's willing to let someone else?
  12. Thanks so much for your willingness to share Paul - what a great contribution you've made to this hobby of ours.
  13. RT is in our house! A big warm welcome Rob! As you can see you have many, many fans here and it's great to know the story of how your armor came to be, and how it got to where it is now.
  14. Mike H.'s site was one of the inspirations for this one. Truly a valuable resource for all who love white plastic.

Sorry - LOL. Unless you bought an MR, everyone here is already buying any authorized LFL stuff, as none of the sellers are LFL authorized. I'm not sure how Matt is exclusive in this, esp. when you're not ranting on how FX is raking it in, cranking out far more suits than all the other makers combined.

That's probably a better way to go for you.
  17. Yeah, someone's crying every day, eh? Nearly every day the wife and I look at each other and think how easy life would be with one kid ;-)
  18. Just wait 'till we start adding RT into the mix. And since it's full history, FX.
  19. Excellent Mara Erin! That's actually a hard costume to get right.
  20. Title updated! Once I get a graphed pix from Scott we'll add you to the Elite page.
  21. Agreed - man that is quite beautiful.
  22. Outstanding! Looks better on you than me - man I wish I could shrink 2". Tip 'o my helmet to you!
  23. And TM armor is...what? Yes, it should. Right now that history is focusing on the lineage of screen used suits. Eventually it will need to be expanded to include fan sculpts, e.g. RT, FX, TM. It should be noted there are several desires for people getting armor: 1) Closest to screen used 2) Closets representation to seen on screen 3) Close enough on a budget Also note that not everyone wants to do an ANH/ESB. It's kind of ironic that people who want to do an ROTJ version have to mod their suits quite heavily when it was ROTJ that started it.
  24. I used the braksbuddy method. As mentioned, there is exhaustive tutorials and full sections devoted to weathering on MEPD, which is where I'd suggest anyone wishing to do a sandtrooper go and get indoctrinated.
  25. I usually recommend people check out the Announcements section on any new forum. Here is one good one that could answer your question: http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7 And, by golly, it's even repeated in the Newbie Forum (http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showforum=5) as a pinned topic. Sorry for the smart-assness - nothing personal I assure you - but I couldn't resist
