  1. You can rivet. Some folks use one, I used two on my first FX. Never do it again, both from an aesthetic POV, and also because I found having the fabric understraps to be better than using the plastic overstraps as structural support.
  2. Don & Lorna - you're all set. Don't forget to introduce yourselves in the newbie forum.
  3. Lots of coffee. It why I have no sympathy when folks w/o kids can't seem to muster up the time to even to a single 2 hour troop a year to stay active, then complain when I de-activate them as GML. If those of us with multiple kids can find time, those lazy b's can stop playing WOW for an afternoon once a year and find the time too.
  4. No - that's something that the UK garrison does that's particular to themselves. Such things are fine for most events, but must be removed for canon ones.
  5. Either. I'm an inch taller and my TE2 - which is comparable to the AP - fits just fine. I think between the two it really comes down to trimming/fit, not the base armor. Heck I have some leg parts in RT, TE2, and FX. Overall dimensions are *very* similar, but what makes them fit differently is the contour of the part and how it's trimmed. Take a look at the pix of each suit and choose what's most aesthetically pleasing, that's my advice. As for "big", let's not forget CMANavy who at 6'4" and 265lbs got a set of TE armor to fit him. Here is a pix of him in it in sandtrooper configuration. -----------
  6. Er, one shouldn't be putting stickers on shoulder bells, at least if they want to appear canon. If one wants to wear such a thing for a non-canon event, I'd recommend double-sided tape. This is what we used for our garrison patches in the TORP. But yeah, those kinds of things
  7. Request a new thread and waste space. (up to Scott, really). The new pix are looking great! Thumbs up
  8. Wait until the second kid. Then you'll really know busy ;-) j/k - one is enough to suck the free time out of one's life...
  9. Someday it would be great if we do a sticker run. I have both Garrison and MEPD stickers on my bins, but no FISD. I know we're in a middle of a coin run, but would be great if this comes up before Christmas ;-)
  10. So what's left?

Hope you come back some day. It's always good to see your new stuff.
  12. Ef - great to see you finally get upgraded - way to go PI Outpost And for all you Noobs with ONE post, don't forget to introduce yourself in the New Guy Thread. You may be 501st vets, but your still a N00b on these boards ;-)
  13. Thanks Gino. One more: is that still the case with AP being closer than TE2 though? Last I heard AP has modified the thighs to make them larger, removing them even further from pedigree than TE2. And, I think there were some other changes as well, but can't recall all of what was involved.
  14. This may be the case. However TE2 armor is readily available, which is why it's considered - for most people - to be the closest one can reasonably get to screen used. I think that was what was intended to be presumed on this thread.
  15. Joey - about time mi amigo! Welcome to the 501st Paul - all set - great pix Ron - access granted! Anyone else - if you're status hasn't been updated, re-read this topic http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7 and take note about including a link to your 501st record.
  16. Ah, where the big guns are. You'll have to keep us informed. I was an 11B & 67V myself (many sols ago).
  17. Whoa! Best of luck to you man. What MOS?
  18. Done
  19. That would be great Paul!
  20. Yeah, I'm going to have to hunt up some ones that are clean. I'd love to see a side by side of TM vs. other armors in clean white.
  21. Given your situation I'd glue both.
  22. Whoa! Nothing like showing off original molds. Salute!
  23. Now that this poll is closed, the winner is Elite. We'll be updating our documentation today to reflect this change.
