They are great ideas really. Alas, the script wouldn't have been as cool...

I understand they are droppable but I haven't tried it. I can say after owning a C6 EPII clone bucket and a JM v2 EPIII, you'll cry like a baby if you drop them (and I did one of them). It's not pretty, esp. in the week areas like the chin / tubes. Kevin's - at least the v2 I held awhile ago, seemed much sturdier.

At this point I'll believe it when I see a completed suit. There have been so many "almost there's" that it's just white noise now.

Each day I'm surprised by how people give up their time for the betterment of the community w/o asking anything in return. You're an inspiration, and I thank you. Thanks also to all of you troopers out there who even in some small way take the time to help someone else in turn. This forum truly is built on troopers helping troopers.

ABS will always be more durable than HIPS. My experience though is that for normal trooping HIPS works just fine. I toted my TE2 (which is HIPS) from the US to China, trooped the great wall, etc. and never had problems. Then again, I'd play a few downs of football in ABS armor, but wouldn't dare put my TE2 to that strain.

Wow, I'll agree that good looking suits like this really make new fans out of ROTJ. You should really go EIB after you get your TKID (I presume you're applying to the 501st?). It's a well done suit, and your attention to detail really stands out.

How much of it is "you get what you pay for". I'm wondering if this is more new vendors selling less quality for less money, or existing ones dropping their quality for the same amount of $$.

Armor aside, it's more the seller we're recommending you stay away from. He's been banned and no longer a 501st Legion member as has been stated, and his reputation is no longer something we can recommend.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I wish I had more comforting words to offer, but realize that words are small compared to the gap that has been created.

Wow - I tried to find a fault on your suit but really couldn't. This is one of the best builds I've seen and it fits you like a "T" (TK!). Who says ladies can't be stormtroopers? Congrats

1. No - there should be no visible rivets on the shoulder straps. 2. For EIB side rivets are not required but encouraged. If we can get a good definition as to their size - either exact or what we can consider acceptable and for spacing as well, we can add this to EIB as "nice to have but not required".

You are soooooo close Adam but that shouldn't detract from the pride in your costume or trooping. You're have a great looking suit and as soon as those details are cleared and your TKID assigned, you'll be golden.

Not sure for the UK. Usually it's any fabric store or Home Depot in the US. Just make sure you get the industrial variety. White velcro should do you well.

I think they are holdouts from the clone troopers and mean the same thing they do for clones. This is why not all sandtroopers had them (which in reality is just that they were background and the prop dept. didn't care as much about them), e.g. they were ARC trained. Being ARC troopers makes a whole lot of sense - I'm sure the Empire would still have some. I mean, for a long time the pauldron signified something - it wouldn't all of a sudden change to be rank, when having rank externally displayed was totally unnecessary with stormtroopers, and also later clone troopers (e.g. EPII clones color was rank, but this was no longer the case by EPIII. This is why I take issue with the TK Commander being designated as such - what in the world would possess them to adopt an identical funky color scheme. They should have designated the TK Commander something else, such as a particular unit designation just like in EPIII the clones are identical except for paint scheme. Sometimes I wonder what the dudes writing for LFL or creating the toys are thinking - no logic behind the dross explanations at all, and much of the fan ones make so much more sense.
