Here you go gamer nerds (like me! ) http://www.slashgear.com/star-wars-battlefront-set-for-reveal-at-star-wars-celebration-2015-19374460/ For those of you on my Facebook, you may have seen a picture or two that I shared, of a TK and a TD (oh, and a couple of Rebel Pilots) at an event here in Fort Worth where EA COO Peter Moore was addressing Gamestop Regional Managers and he happened to show the crowd some gameplay footage never before seen outside of 300 people who work at EA. I cannot at this time confirm or deny who that TK may have been, but this is something you're going to want to see!!!!

WhiteHammer's RT-Mod ESB TK (WIP)
Dark CMF replied to WhiteHammer's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Not a problem, but if you don't have any clear acetone in the house, you will likely need that to get this fixed. We're going to break you in a little rough, I guess. LoL -
WhiteHammer's RT-Mod ESB TK (WIP)
Dark CMF replied to WhiteHammer's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
That's not a difficult fix, but it will potentially slow you down just a bit. No need for any degree of panic just yet. I know that you said that you want to earn Centurion, so we'll help you to get there. Can you take a picture of the Ab/Kidney left sides, next to each other? That will help us to see what you've done so far, and what needs to be done to keep you on track. -
WhiteHammer's RT-Mod ESB TK (WIP)

Scott is correct. You'd be best to address the kidney plate notch before emplacing the rivets. EDIT: I do like the idea of the 4 inch elastic though. -
There are differences from EIB to Centurion, yes. However, Centurion armor meets/surpasses all EIB requirements, as you must be EIB in order to submit for Centurion. The differences are in the costume CRLs for Stunt / Hero, so having the three alternate pieces (helmet, belt/holster, gloves) will suffice for both Stunt and Hero all the way up to Centurion. Does that make sense?

Darth Aloha (FISD DL) unavailable until March 16

We're you still coherent when the bikini clowns came in on the Llamas? -
Oooohhh... This should happen somehow. "Mr. No Stripes or: How I Learned to Stop Painting and Love the Helmet."
-
My TK (recently Centurion approved) is a Hero build. In order to achieve Stunt approval, I have a different helmet. I will also need a different belt/holster attachment, and since I have the "alternate" hand guards, I'll need some gloves with standard ones also. That's the differences in a nutshell. Personally, I feel that the Hero helmet is a bit "meaner" looking with the lower brow and the bubble lenses and I feel that the Hero is the way that the sculptors wanted you to see it. That's why I chose Hero before Stunt. I will be getting my Stunt build stuff taken care of soon though, and it too will be EIB/Centurion by the time I'm done.

Very cool poster indeed. Is that Mr. No Stripes in an official (?) advertisement?

AM Bucket Electronics Suggestions
Dark CMF replied to aDOPElexis's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
I've got most of it in my helmet. My Rom/FX audio board is mounted in my chest plate though. The only person that I know of that has all of that mounted in his bucket is ukswrath. Outside of the power supply, he has everything in his helmet. If you look him up, he has the pictures of his electronics builds in his forum signature. Anyway, I have the following in my helmet: Echo Fan System - available here in the for sale section after you have access. Skyminer Environmental Audio System - available here in the for sale section after you have access. My speaker is mounted in my chest plate, along with my Rom/FX board, available at www.romfx.com and I do believe that he is taking names for a run of them right now. He only does one or two runs annually. Everything has separate switches. I turn on my Rom/FX before I put on my torso armor, and my EAS before I put my helmet on. I can turn the fans on and off while wearing the helmet at needed. -
I just went back and adjusted the total on my build tracker to not include the extra helmet, Hero Belt parts and some other accessories that didn't get used during my build and my total appears to be about $2150.00. I can assure you that my RT-Mod kit was less than half of the total cost, and all of the extras and my E=11 modifications had a substantial impact on that final number. Keep in mind that I have an EAS, customized Echo fan system, and Rom/FX board installed in my helmet/armor, and then... There's my E-11. LoL.
-
Couldn't agree with the comments so far any more than I do. The details on the E-11-7 are what I was most intrigued by, and the fact that the armor looks to be a hybrid of TFA and ANH TK leads me to believe that there isn't any special insight. Unfortunately, that diminishes the likelihood of the details of the E-11 as well. LoL (Post moved. )

In your defense, he's probably about 6'2"-6'3" in his armor.

RT, but that would require a specially worked deal as Robs list is full for the year. AM, TM, MTK? Shared with my Garrison, by the way.

ROFL... EPIC!!!!!

WhiteHammer's RT-Mod ESB TK (WIP)
Dark CMF replied to WhiteHammer's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I have some of my strapping (basically my bicep to forearms, and actually my shoulders) that don't have the snaps installed (yet) and the velcro is starting to become unreliable, so I'd advise that approach. -
WhiteHammer's RT-Mod ESB TK (WIP)
Dark CMF replied to WhiteHammer's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Mike, Good question. Neither EIB or Centurion look at your interior strapping as a determinant for eligibility, even though pictures of the strapping are required. The items you mentioned, the split-rivets, etc have to be there for approval. Velcro isn't usually seen because it is not very fail-safe while trooping. -
Alternative option (This is what I do): I click in the link next to "IMG" (the bottom one) which copies that link, then I return to my post in progress, right-click in it, and select paste. It puts the link immediately into the post that you're creating.
-
For the record, Scott expects to be completing his "Troop" no earlier than some time in June, so there is some reaction time to be had here.

Not just yet, Joseph. I'm sure you'll be good to go before this wraps up. Just follow this post in the meantime for updates.

TK-77477 Requsting ESB EIB Status(TK Armor)[449]
Dark CMF replied to Veeds's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Congratulations, Sean!! Welcome to EIB!!! -
Chris, you've got this build, we've got your back!! Keep researching as Steve said, and have fun!!! This is awesome fun - even at its toughest point, you're stil building Stormtrooper Armor! Another Centurion in the making!!
-
Absolutely. There's no rush, we're not going anywhere, and you've waited how long now? What's another few months to a year, when you know you're making progress? Good call.
-
That's a tough one, if you did decide on a new TK - and from what we've seen so far, I wouldn't blame you, I want one already - but for the fan sculpts to reach a proper level of accuracy, it might take awhile to get truly good ones, but you never know. Depending on what we get to see in upcoming trailers, there might be some decent ones available around or before the launch of the movie. If you're on the fence though, I'd definitely suggest putting some money aside so that when we (and the sculptors especially) start getting good looks at them, you can make a good decision, either way.
