  1. OMG... The other side of the blaster!!!!!
  2. I don't know that I'd worry too much about that picture... The game's visuals look amazing. You'll see it tomorrow... It is beautiful, and the details IN the game, are pretty much spot on. This doesn't look right to me, based on what I've seen.
  3. We lived at Ft. Lewis for two years (Well, I was there for one) and we have read the books so we took a trip down to see the sights. Great scenery down there near St. Helen's, Twilight notwithstanding. We didn't get to take our Astoria trip because of crap weather in the area for the weekend we planned to go.
  4. In addition to Forks, you'll want to run down to "downtown" St. Helen's, Oregon as well. Hit the View Point Inn, and Multnomah Falls, too. (Actual filming locations, as opposed to theoretical spots)
  5. Progress!! Thigh looks great, David. You'll be ready to troop that TK in no time! Keep at it. Ask if you need anything.
  6. 6' 2" and about 210. Worst case scenario, I get the kit and realize that it just won't work, I can always sell it and pass the savings on to someone else.
  7. THIS... If I were in the market for a new TK, I'd be all over this. At the price, and with the bucket being assembled for you, this is absolutely an amazing deal, and like Paul, I'd be absolutely shocked if the kit couldn't be made approvable, even if it would require some work to do so. I'm considering ordering one for conversion to a TD even if I'm a little bit "too tall" for their recommended height for the kit.
  8. Hey Brian, great question! You won't have to have the raised ridge put back on the thigh backs. If you look through my build, linked in my signature, you'll see that I cut an uneven strip out of the backs of my thighs, and that there isn't a raised section on them. Simply gluing the cover strips to the thighs will be perfectly adequate for what you're talking absolute doing, as I understand what you're asking. If you need clarificarion, just ask!!!
  9. OMG.... Curse you, Snaps! LoL This one is worse than asking for my favorite movie. I'll have to give this some thought., but at my last job, I used to have to attend graduations weekly, and the band would play some contemporary music before the ceremony began, The band director knew me, and on many occasions, if he saw me walking in, they'd play (no joke) The Imperial March while I made my entrance. I can't even begin to describe just how awesome that experience really is. But... I'll think about your actual question, and try to formulate an answer. This is another good one!
  10. ROFL... I'll admit that I am laughing like a seventh grader.
  11. LoL... I seriously just stopped in to make the exact same post. Personally, I call some degree of shenanigans, based on some stuff dude was saying about how it was only worn by Han and Luke, but then IDd it as being used in scenes with neither character. I'm curious to hear what others have to say.
  12. It looks like they had 30 TK slots, and there were 11 available after I signed up. I'd be all for a group photo! Sent from my Prism II using Tapatalk 2
  13. I can turn on/off my Echo fan system, but that's it. The other electronics systems must be turned on or off when I'm not wearing it.
  14. Approved and locked in for the 16th!!
  15. Not sure if you're aware of it Germain, but in the settings page under notifications, you can choose to receive a notification when someone quotes a post you made, but the addition of your idea would add to that even further, indeed.
  16. Good riddance to this, too. Ruffians, they are. No Kangaroos in Austria. That's a winning tourist slogan right there!
  17. Also wrapped in a towel, on top of my armor, in my Husky case.
  18. Neck seal looks good!!! I'd still say that you should spread those rivets out further, closer to the top and bottom of the plate. Take a look at the reference photos again. That repair looks phenomenal though!!!
  19. John, I've never had any harassment like situations, but I've definitely had to answer a few questions a couple of times. Mine is really pretty real looking. LoL
  20. Fair clarification, Mathias... I shared the CRL to clarify that, but looking back, my statement may mislead folks. Thanks!
  21. It is possible, with some serious modification to achieve EIB, but Centurion is out of the question. If you're just looking for a blaster to carry around at troops, and allow children to handle it, this and a can of spray paint will equate to success.
  22. I'll echo exactly what Eric said, those first cuts can seriously put you on the verge of nausea. No joking at all there. It's that distressing for a number of reasons, for starters, we know what we paid for the box(es) of plastic, and the first cut is the first one because you've never done this before. Should you dork it up somehow, there's your investment..... That's how you see it the first time. Once you take that deep breath, and start cutting, or scoring and snapping the ABS, you get comfortable with it, and after you make your first mistake, you learn that there aren't many mistakes you make (that don't involve heat guns - those can be totally catastrophic) that cannot be undone or fixed. We're all here to help each other, so ask away, Josh. (Sorry for hijacking your thread, David) Have you hit a build thread going yet? If not, get one. the moment a post appears with "RT-Mod" in the title, both Eric and I will instantaneously rouse from our sleep, if need be, and find it. It's like the moths to the flame. Let us know what help you need! Keep at it, David! EDIT: Inner strips are used to solidify the seam. They substantially strengthen the armor pieces, in my opinion. I've got them in my armor on every glued seam.
  23. Phew... Okay. It would also throw off you approval for higher levels, too!
  24. Actually, I believe that the padding in that cut-away helmet is a knee pad from a floor hockey or broom ball type of shin guard, as referenced here, at the RPF forums: http://www.therpf.com/f24/helmet-padding-material-60312/
