  1. You can always post a build thread, and get plenty of feedback from the Detachment's finest.
  2. The whos and hows are not necessarily information that we, as members, were given access to. As it was in support of the unveiling at Celebration, attendance at Celebration was a factor, location was a factor, as the kits had to be shipped, built, and then transported to Anaheim in short order. I believe that the is some confusion/angst here today by the use of the term "chosen." Primarily, it is being used to mean "the 75." It appears to have taken on a new meaning which is "people on stage." "The 75" will be keeping their armor, and all accessories that they received from ANOVOS. "The people on stage" well, I don't know, but the sentiment appears to be that they were wearing loaners.
  3. Paul, are the blasters on display anywhere? Should we expect some good pictures following SWCA?
  4. Looks good to me, Dave!!
  5. I'm pretty sure you saw the same footage that I got to see at a casted event last month!! It is simply amazing, isn't it? I actually think that the gameplay footage is far more impressive than the trailer that they showed at Celebration.
  6. You have to be a Legion member to gain access to it. They request your TKID and Garrison as part of the preorder information.
  7. Ty, That is my understanding, and that is where the "about 300" number comes from, based on the sign up thread. That's also why I believe I'm on the list. LoL
  8. In the interest of transparency, I think I'm pretty high up on the preorder list, as I signed up within the first hour and a half of it being listed. Believe me... I can't wait for them to begin sending out notifications based on that list which I believe I am on. I promise that if I am fortunate enough to purchase one, I'll share a build thread here with all of you.
  9. Oh... I'll add that the word put out was that there would be no Blasters, Boots, or accurate Gloves provided with the kits, as the sources for accurate boots and gloves were not locked down at the time of production, and that the blasters (which are props, not costume parts) will not be made available through ANOVOS due to the Licensing being for costumes, even though that may change later. Looking at the gloves in the trailers, vs the ones on the mannequins yesterday, they don't appear to have accurate ones yet. The blasters used on stage were only made available for yesterday's panel (this is what I've been told by a source yesterday - so I cannot confirm or deny that fully. You will notice that many pictures of the new TKs which were not from the onstage panel, are taken with currently available E-11s in hand.
  10. The NDAs are no longer valid. The build threads will be moved to a public forum (I am not aware if they will be moved to FISD, or remain on the Legion Forums at this time however). Our members who, purchased the kits only received them about two to two and a half weeks ago, initially without the instructions necessary to build them, and had to work very hard to get the armor completed. The had to bondo a lot of parts, and paint the armor. They did not receive their helmets in the kits, they were delivered to them already completed at the ANOVOS booth in Anaheim. The list exists only at ANOVOS. Sign ups for the list were offered in a forum on the Legion's main boards, only accessible to Legion members, as it was a decision made between the three entities (Disney/LFL/ANOVOS) to offer the opportunity to The Legion for Celebration. I have not seen the preorder list, only the list of members who were selected to buy the kits. When it came time for the 75 Legion members to build, they were allowed, under the NDA to solicit help from Legion members, but we're still responsible for the security of the information per the NDA. The price that has been thrown around ($1850 + shipping) is for an uncompleted kit, and Has been stated to be a Legion exclusive preorder price, hence the list. Subsequent offerings will very likely be at a higher price point when offered to the public later in the year. I'm certain that once Celebration is over, more information will be forthcoming to the public at the discretion of ANOVOS. At the moment, we anticipate that the costume will be listed here within the FISD, and therefore, build threads will be posting here as they become available to people to post. Hopefully this clears some things up. I'm Detachment Staff, and since I've got Legion access on the Legion boards, that is all that I have access to share. The build threads were only available to members with the kits, and (as I understood it) one member of the Legion Command Staff who served as the Liaison to ANOVOS for the Legion.
  11. That was Anakin's/Luke's saber being passed on the trailer. I believe Luke was talking to Rey... She is a scavenger. I'm willing to bet that the force is strong with her, which aids her in her scavenging to find worthwhile relics, and escape with them. I believe that Anakin will appear as a force ghost, or we will find out that Luke does communicate with him. "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter..." Anakin still lives on in the force. There is a lot of little stuff to drool over in this trailer... Snow troopers, flame troopers, pilots, Kylo Ren looks like he is going to be a warrior type Sith, leading TKs on the battlefield. It looks to be quite epic. The only thing I'm currently unsure of is the organization... No more Empire. The First Order, and the new logo.
  12. Hey Bryan!!! Welcome to the FISD, brother!! Be sure to request your Legion access for the forums.
  13. Those were the ones at the booth though. I still haven't seen a list of the ones on stage anyplace. If my theory is correct, that list can't be accurate for the stage TKs - besides the fact that there were ten of those.
  14. I thought I saw some pictures of people with ANOVOS boxes, and I didn't believe that it was the new TK, specifically because they had over or about 300 preorder people on the wait list. I seriously hope that they didn't skip their preorder list somehow, but yeah, the kits with shipping were offered at an introductory price (with a completed helmet, no boots or blaster) of just about $2,000 depending on the shipping method used.
  15. Yes, the one that wasn't completely dwarfed by Peter Mayhew. I do have a feeling about that one specifically, yes.
  16. LoL... There's a list of who has the kits. I have a sneaking suspicion as to the identity of one of them, but I can't be sure yet.
  17. Also, as Nicky already said, no costume will ever be automatically approved for Legion membership, even if it was a set of screen used armor, the person would have to apply for approval, just like everyone else, and if it fits incorrectly could be denied membership. 18. Germain is correct. ANOVOS did not supply the armor for the movies, but they did have direct access to armor made by the Ep VII prop masters for the purpose of making that armor. There were a number of Legion.members that received kits in advance, which they purchased, to be a part of the reveal today. There is also a wait list for kits, yes. 19. I didn't actually hear anyone talking while wearing the TK...
  20. Yeah, I'm trying to figure out if it IS extra details, or reflections from the wall to the right...
  21. Those are wearable armors, as seen on stage today during the panel, however, there are pictures of it on a mannequin, also.
  22. Is that TD fully connected to the back plate, and the belt incorporated in the ab?
  23. Force Ghosts, FTW...
  24. No more hush hush.... That was only in place until the reveal this morning. It is this morning, it has been revealed. To the best of my knowledge, using an educated guess, I was working under the assumption that the TK on the far left is our own beloved DL.
  25. So, after a bit of deliberation, I decided that I had to go back to my competitive roots as a young man. When I was preparing for football games or hockey games, I used to listen to Metallica to get my mindset where I wanted it for the game at hand. After a great deal of deliberation, it came down to two songs as choices for my theme music, and when considering the TK backstory that I use (I'll have to find that thread and provide the link here later) I have decided that it should be this one: Metallica - The Thing That Should Not Be.
