  1. Ah, but what a fun trend it could be.
  2. Congratulations Hans, and welcome to the EIB ranks!!!
  3. Congratulations Lee!!! Welcome to the EIB ranks. Great build!
  4. Thank you, Dustin. You'll be just fine when your kit arrives. We won't let you fail, and your local folks in the FLG are very helpful, too!! Ah, the excitement... Yes, that excitement will grow still when the big brown box day arrives. Then, then you'll stare at the parts for a few days, deciding whether or not you can cut them. . How much wait are you looking at?
  5. Congratulations Tony!!! Great work!
  6. Congratulations Berbs!! Welcome to the Ranks!! Star Garrison, Representing!!! Meet you at Centurion!
  7. LoL... It took me a minute to see the last line, so I was really confused about whether I had posted the right link.
  8. Hey there Scott... I'll do you one better than manufacture info, etc. You've got to go no farther than FISD's for sale section: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23970-fs-centurion-level-rivet-sets/
  9. Continuing to follow. Looking great, Ben. I love the idea of the transducer for the voice as well, Are there even smaller ones than the 3 watt? If so, they could conceivably be used with the hovis.
  10. Humbled and honored to serve as inspiration to you. You've got this, Art... Looking forward to your progress! (Congratulations on the impending big brown box day... We need more RT-Mod Tower Troopers!!!)
  11. Yeah, like Steve said, don't go crazy. With the shape of the forearms, it is probably easier to trim the wrist end than the elbow end, but pictures would definitely get you a more sound and sensible answer.
  12. I'd definitely want a picture. LoL I'd also DEFINITELY want fans.
  13. Definitely awesome. Makes me want to buy some shiny white plastic.
  14. Definitely want to see how this turns out! Could be a ground-breaking type of modification, but I don't know that I can go dremeling/cutting my DD up to do it. LoL.
  15. To echo what's already been said: If it is secured well you'll know if it gets messed with. I have been groped far more on armor that is not my TD, than on my TD (by celebrities, even). The biggest dangers are indeed inebriated adults, and unsupervised children, and you will know exactly which ones those are before they begin to mess with your TD or armor. I've not experienced anyone trying to take mine yet, but people have (gently) grabbed it, and asked me what it was. Last night, while sitting down in the stadium seat at an NBA basketball game, it occurred to me only after the TK sitting next to me was handed his TD by the people sitting behind us, that mine could have been knocked off of my belt while I was sitting down. Thankfully, the people behind us returned his TD, rather than believing they had acquired a very cool souvenir.
  16. Generally, AP is considered the smallest (circumference wise) of the common armor kits. I believe it will fit up to a 32 inch waist without shims, but no more than that.
  17. I'm not actually positive as to who is making it. I remember seeing some posts back in October when it debuted, that people were working on it, but haven't seen anything about it since then.
  18. I have the taller Husky box, but admittedly, I'd like to downsize it. I'm still paranoid about babying my armor, so there are pillows and cut up blanket pieces in there padding everything. The helmet doesn't fit in there the way that I pack it, and the box won't fit in my car. I may have a look around and see if I can find the lower profile Husky box that Pete showed above. My armor is assembled with the brackets and original strapping, so it doesn't break down at all, outside of removing the Arms, Legs, and Cod...
  19. It is indeed quite intimidating, but building one that is very much usable is also very simple when you get down to the actual work involved. It is when you begin adding modifications to the build that things can get a little tricky and in some cases scary.
  20. There are "Cartoon-style" TK kits being made/worked on/sold already. I imagine that if they ever make it to their own CRL, that will be when we'll see them as an optional accessory for that TK's CRL.
  21. Congratulations Rowan, and welcome to the ranks of EIB!!! I have to laugh. I stopped in and took a look yesterday and thought - I don't know ESB details well enough to comment off the top of my head, so I went to review the CRL this morning before coming in and you've been approved! (Nice work, Steve! )
  22. Congratulations Chris, and welcome to the EIB Ranks!!!
  23. I thought I'd seen a story/post here from someone in the MWG detailing how it had been passed on to another young girl at an event at Soldier Field in Chicago, but I can't rightly remember how long ago that was, just that it happened very quickly, like over three or four days. I'm not positive though, because I'm aware of the other situation that you had alluded too, Glen. EDIT: The follow up armor story is in this thread, early-mid 2014. Just one page back.
  24. I would have to think not. Not without a Rebels based TK armor and bucket also.
