1. On second thought, as if by magic or something, look what was just posted: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35982-fs-hyperfirm-dlt-19-b-grades-4x-available/

Happy Shopping!
2. I have no idea with any certainty what the answer to your question may be, but that's awesome! Congratulations!!
3. During my build thread, I took a scrap piece of ABS and glued two snaps directly to it, and it showed no ill effects whatsoever. Now, it is possible that a different batch of ABS may have a different reaction, but by and large, I believe that the fears of E6000 melting plastic due to metal has been mostly put to bed here over time.

When it comes to removal, and assuming that you're talking about E6000 here, throw it in the freezer overnight, and use a butter knife to gently pry it loose.
4. TD looks good, shins look good - but... With the shins, be prepared to cut out a lot of the return half, especially in the front, beneath the knees. That's the one area in the entire kit that gave me serious bites during the build/test-fit process.
5. But... Those are truly beautiful looking, and DIY paper patterns are a great way to do stuff like this.
6. You act like shipping in and out of Australia is outrageous. The last time I shipped stuff your way, the shipping was only two to three times the cost of the items... Oh... Never mind, you're right. It's pretty outrageous.
7. Congratulations Dan! Does your holster work? Great photos, also!! Hopefully I'll be joining you in the approved ranks soon!
8. These things will not likely be put to a Detachment vote any time before August, based on the current Staff planning cycle for the year.
9. Also, now that I've read it. There are a lot of second and third level effects that will have to be considered (and they will) to look at implementing changes like this. As anyone who has built an ANOVOS kit will attest, not all of the plastic is the same color in each of the kits. So, as Clint alluded to, and Germain acknowledged above, the wording that goes into any changes with this kit will have to be very carefully decided upon in order to ensure that it is all-encompassing and not exclusionary or favorable to any particular kit moving forward, which can be tough, but as a community and as a Command Staff, we're up to the task.
10. Honesty in my response, right up front: I haven't read this thread yet. Not more than five or six lines of text. Having said that, we're not going to be looking at any changes to the CRL simply for the sake of changing the CRL. Sometime after April 5th, we'll begin looking at the requirements for level 2 (possibly 3) for the FO TK CRL. At that point in time, we'll be discussing things like what - that is now a basic requirement - is better served at level 2, with the better references that we will have available to us.
11. Very nice work, Aaron! Can't wait to see the final product.
12. If you read enough threads, Caleb, you'll find that we talk about a lot of little details here. Paint colors, shape of the eyes, number of teeth, thickness of the belts, finish on the E-11, distance from the edge to place the rivets, type of gloves to use, how to install audio systems, where to store batteries, how to shape the ears, the list can keep going. Details about the armor are what we're all about! Feel free to ask any questions if you've got them, and we'll help you to better understand the answers.
13. Nice work, Jon! Looking great!
14. Off the top of my head, I can tell you that two of the three LMOs are Stormtrooperguy, and Darth Aloha. Rest assured that the LMO team is pretty well in touch with where you are with it. Looking good. Still!
15. Hey there Brandon! Nice looking build. Only a couple of other things jump out at me: no photo of the D-ring on the back of your E-11, and the fact that you painted the two snaps on your butt plate, where the cod attachment connects to it. Other than that, have to wait and see what the ruling is on the belt, but the build looks good overall. Good luck!
16. Jason, did you ever get in contact with the Cloud City Garrison folks? I started out in a similar situation. I was about 2.5 hours from any other Legion members, so my builds were pretty much just me and the FISD. I made out alright, well ensure that you do also.

So, what other hobbies have you got that you wanted to chat about?
17. Congratulations Michael! Very well deserved, and appropriately awarded. Looking forward to your Centurion application!
18. Thank you all! Walt, did you see my shout out in my opening statement? LoL
19. To back up what Jim said immediately above, there are over 15,000 registered members, and over 460,000 posts on the FISD forums. Add to that the fact that all of the ANOVOS kits began arriving and getting posted in early February and yeah... A lot of threads probably got minimal responses. I'm not saying that to negate how you feel, I'm hoping it will help you to understand the situation a little bit better. As for your thread, you had one of the top builders in the world (UKSWRATH) comment on your thread, and offer his assistance if you needed it. Sometimes, sending someone a PM and asking them to look at your thread, or to offer some help will generate just the right visibility that you need to bring more people to your thread. A lack of commentary is not necessarily dismissal, but if you're moving along, and doing a good job, then there may just not be much that people feel compelled to say. I also think that you're doing a good job with your rebuild. It looks like you're definitely on the right track, and you've got some solid contacts (Both of the Deployment Officers have weighed in on your build thread) waiting to help. Don't hesitate to reach out via PM and ask if you feel that you need more assistance from people. Where do you live? There may be armor parties or helpful members nearby who would love to come by and work with you to re-fit your kit. There are many solutions to every problem that one can encounter or perceive here in the Detachment. Work to find them! Keep at it, Marc, you're doing just fine. EDIT: Additionally, FX is anything but poor quality armor. It may not be quite as accurate as some of the other (newer) kits available, but it is clearly and certainly accurate enough for Legion membership - we've got an FX rebuild applying for EIB right this very moment - and it will last forever. I cannot agree that it is poor quality. Keep your chin up brother, and keep at the build. This post you made is probably enough of a reach for help to get you some more help in your build.
20. Good luck! Build looks good, and since I know you're in contact with their GML team, I expect that you're going to be getting some news relatively soon!
21. A couple of sensibly placed magnets ought to do the trick.
22. Congratulations, and thank you, Joe! Excellent work!!!
23. Definitely this. I've removed one belt cover for someone, and it wasn't difficult. Exacto knife under the edges, and a bit of leverage, and it came right off. Of course, I then had to take the Deemel and attach a sanding wheel to get rid of that epoxy mess... Eeek, what a pain that stuff is. Looking good though, Kalani! Keep at it.
