For the French Blue, I used Model Masters 4659 (made by Testors).

where to get a good kit now that doopy's e11 is out of stock ?
Dark CMF replied to shayvidas's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
If they've been out of stock for a few weeks, they'll likely be back in stock soon.

Check back every day over the next week, and in all likelihood, you'll find them in stock again. -
Yeah, it is was a privately offered run, not done in association with any Legion or Detachment involvement or oversight/approval. Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk

Brenton's TFA Build.
Dark CMF replied to A Master Builder's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Tomorrow. Always, tomorrow. -
I was wondering the exact same thing... Thanks for clarifying this, Tony.

This is potentially a semi-accurate statement that you're making yes, but I'm putting distance between the FISD, the Legion, and these shirts as one has nothing to do with the others. They're not designed, produced, or made available through Legion merchandise runs and as such not anything that we're really in a position to comment on. It is very likely that someone at the Legion level will begin to offer different shirts with TFA styling but at the moment, the FISD has no plans to do so, and I am unaware of any happening anywhere else within the Legion at this time.

The TFA racing shirts (if w'e're talking about the same ones) are not Legion or Detachment merchandise. They are privately managed merchandise.

Thank you, Bobby.

Apologies for being late to the party here (in one way or another). This week (is it really only Tuesday?) has been a serious armor bite in the backside so far, but good things are happening more or less as a result. First things first, congratulations to Eric on the appointment to the LMO team! This is just one example of the awesome work done ahead of the elections by our new LCO, in working to bring the Legion back to the Troopers. A tour de force of an LCS, comprised of members who are engaged with us in the front lines of the trooping life is a good thing for all of us - that's my opinion anyway. Next, a quick thank you for introducing yourself. I'm not sure how many people here are familiar with you or your work in the Legion. Good things on the horizon for all, and this is just one small part of it - albeit Eric is a very large guy fulfilling that small part.

What the honest response is, is that the personal attacks that were made will not be allowed, no matter who says them, or who they are directed against. You can disagree, and question the behaviors of plenty of people, without attacking them. Language can be a powerful ally, or a dangerous enemy. Used properly and wisely, you can insult people in a fashion which leaves them positively glowing about what you had to say about them. Just like in grammar school, it's not what you say, but how you say it that makes the difference. Attacking or fighting with people? Take it to PMs.
-
Potentially, yes. I may stay a little less involved in that, for that very reason. LoL I've seen some ideas thrown around already that I don't like - for purely personal reasons LoL - but they probably make some degree of good sense as well.

Not this guy... I'm STILL building mine. LoL

We are all saddened today to learn about Jenny. Here is the link to the Georgia Garrison's Legion forum announcement: http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=90577&p=1139917#p1139917

Rest in Peace Jennifer Riddle, TK-9496 (jnnfr72)
Dark CMF replied to captsafe66's topic in Announcements
Fully and totally at a loss for words. Jenny was a wonderful person with a big heart, and a warm soul. She always seemed to do whatever it took to help others. For a brief while when I was expecting to transfer to the Georgia Garrison, and she was making the same move we shared a joke about the GA Garrison hoarding all of the "cool troopers" to itself to begin to annex the world. Truly saddened to see this. Truly, truly heart breaking. RIP, Trooper... Buckets off. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences with/for friends and family. -
EIB / Centurian Overlap?
Dark CMF replied to Naglium's topic in FISD Expert Infantry Badge (EIB) Requirements
There are many Troopers with multiple EIB and Centurion awards. If they could simply bypass EIB and go for Centurion because they'd already been awarded EIB one time, there would not be people with multiple EIB awards. I don't believe that this omission (not directly stating that it must be the same armor) is meant to serve as a loophole to support submitting a new armor directly for Centurion approval. I don't support using it as a loophole either. A new costume must be submitted for and approved as EIB prior to submission for Centurion, as the award is indeed tied to the costume being worn by that individual and hence, it isn't transferable and - as previously stated - can be awarded multiple times to an individual. -
Is it okay to remove the ab plate from the cod?
Dark CMF replied to zemzero's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Okay, the way you worded that title, I was thinking you wanted to cut the buttons off of your abdomen. I was saying to myself "Why would you want to do that?" Now that I've read your actual post, I understand and assure you that you can separate the cod piece from the abdomen. There are kits out there that come with them in two separate pieces to begin with. Mine is one of them, so I have separate cod and abdomen parts. Feel free to cut it, but do so carefully and with a plan ahead of time. -
Less space taken up, less draw on the battery system... So many advantages. LoL

Are you using the updated version? I use Tapatalk on my Android phone and occasionally on my iPad, and as I mentioned, I've never seen that happen. I'm just trying to figure out what to tell the actual technical nerd support folks.
-
Yeah... That's an accurate assessment, and I've already considered doing the same. Imagine being able to pump your chatter into the same system. One less amp.
-
Bizarre... I've yet to see that happen at all. iOS or Android?

As Tony mentioned, the size, and "all-in-one" nature of the RomFX make it my favorite. The iComm is loud, no doubt about that, but I feel that the RomFX provides better voice modulation and for me, the ability to fit it into my helmet is an awesome plus. Also, as bells and whistles go, if you get the more expensive version of the board, you have the ability to play MP3 sounds/multiple inputs, so blaster sounds or something of the like are available to you as well.
-
To clarify, when I said "board vs kit" I meant the empty circuit board, so you could do your own electronics project with it, as opposed to a built and working ROMFX with the electronics components installed, as that's what I was confused about onnyour question. Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk

John can be a little tricky to get in touch with from time to time. He typically produces a few runs annually, and that's what he sells. I'm not positive if by "just the fx board" you mean the stripped down circuit board or not, but he sells the boards in their completed state, with a speaker and microphone. There are no "kit" options as the armors are offered.
