1. CONGRATULATIONS Andrew!!!! Welcome to the Legion, brother!!

MOAR TOWER TROOPERS!!!!
2. From looking at those photos, a few things do stand out, even at a distance. The TKs appear to be a rather messy looking hybrid of ANH and ROTJ (rubber trim around the major armor pieces).

LFL has already set precedent for the ROTJ TK to be the "official" model that they endorse, with the release of Battlefront by EA/Dice, so this is not surprising.
3. Drop boxes are loops, should be completely salvageable. Same for the holster, should absolutely be reused in belt replacement scenarios.

Depending on what type of glue was used to attach the rivet covers, the plastic may be reusable if one can successfully remove the covers from the plastic. That's still the unknown for now. The plastic may need to be replaced in some cases depending on the skill/luck of the person who removes it.
4. Kudos, Kalani. On point. I don't see anything that will prevent approval in any of the plastic.
5. After actually handling the bucket tonight, that's the same stuff I'd say, without question. I'm advising anyone who asks me about the frown to take some mineral spirits to the teeth, find some Testor's 1138 (Gray) and repaint the frown. Not only is there the overspray, but the frown is darker gray than the rest of the details on the bucket and it is more matte in finish than the rest of them as well. As for the tube stripes - perfectly fine for base approval - I'd say the same basic approach would work when pursuing EIB/Centurion - mineral spirits to remove them and new decals or paint them on by hand (with or without stencils depending on individual skill levels) in the right location. Either way... Not too much work at all to get it to the higher levels.
6. I think it is really just the shape of the bottom of the thigh. Even if it were longer, when mounted properly, it would just be sticking out in front of your leg. That's just how it fits, and if you go and look closely on screen, you'll see that it isn't a new condition.
7. After having one of them in my hands tonight for very close inspection, I still stand by my earlier recommendation for repainting the frown completely. The gray is indeed darker than the gray color in the decals - which are of the "hand-painted" variety - and it is a matte finish so it just doesn't match the rest of the gray on the helmet.
8. Beautiful work on that paint! Looking good, and very promising!! Gonna make some popcorn and watch the show!
9. C'mon... That's your bucket, isn't it? LoL
10. I've had my hands on the ANOVOS Kit now. Overall, quite impressed with it. Very nicely done. Good quality, durable plastic. The two major things that jump out at me (with regard to the build alone) are both belt related. That canvas... For your own sanity, just replace it with a belt available from one of the vendors here. The holster is really quite nice, and the fact that they mounted the screws so high up on the straps is to your benefit. The Stunt holster should be suspended about an inch below the bottom of the canvas, so with the previous holes being up higher on the straps, you can just put the holes near the bottom of a new canvas belt, and use the supplied holster. The removal of the plastic from the canvas is the wild card, as Tony mentioned previously, but to me, it looks like it can possibly be done. I wasn't trying to take apart the one I was looking at, as it doesn't belong to me. Worst case, new canvas, and new plastic belt to go along with it. I'd have mounted the drop boxes differently, but they're sufficient for use and basic approval, without question. In line with the belt, is the TD. The TD was shipped unassembled - yay! - but in my opinion, the clips that come with the kit are far too short for use on a normally sized belt. If you replace the canvas, you'd be smart to replace these as well, or you seriously run the risk of losing your TD.
11. First thing I did, too "DOOPYDOOS IS INCLUDING SPRINGS NOW?!?!?!" Best of luck! Be sure to ask for any help if you think you need it. The community has your back!
12. Fans, speakers, voice board, microphone. LoL. Yeah, a little bit of an upgrade. Sent from my SM-G386T using Tapatalk
13. Typically (with armor at least) if you put it in the freezer overnight, you can pry the parts apart fairly easily. I'd be very cautious in doing so with the resin, however, as it is more brittle than the ABS. I would also recommend using an epoxy for the resin assembly on the DoopyDoo kit, as opposed to E6000.
14. Welcome aboard, Jacob! Let us know if we can be of any further assistance to you - that's what we do.
15. Ah yes.... The wait. Looking good, should be no problems whatsoever! FWIW, my knee ammo pack stays up on the "curve" as well. doesn't stay level at all. Just can't happen with this kit.
16. For taller troopers, the following are the ones that I would typically recommend: RT-Mod AM TM RT and AM are sculpted larger for larger/taller troopers. I would say that AM is probably more accommodating for taller and larger troopers. RT is probably slightly better for taller, well proportioned troopers. Outside of seeing pictures of TM armor, I have no practical experience/exposure to it. I can tell you that it is a beautiful kit, and that Paul does provide longer shins for taller troopers, but I am unsure how the rest of the armor fits for taller/larger troopers. Since you say you are taller and thin, you'd be perfectly fine considering TM as well. When you say narrow waist, how narrow are we talking? I'm 6'2" and about 225 with about a 36" waist and RT fits me just about perfectly without modification.
17. I'd strip the whole thing. You'll want the paint to all match, and if you look at a lot of member buckets, you'll see that the grey typically used (Testor's 1138) is much glossier than that frown is.
18. The MiCH padding system is what I use for my helmet as well. As Clint said above, they are incredibly easy to install and make adjustments to as needed. Here is a WIP picture of my helmet following the initial installation of the padding system:
19. Well, they just so happen to be the two that will be on hand for side by side comparisons with known/familiar kits. Trust me, I didn't go out of my way or by any of them for the purpose of making a comparison to the ANOVOS kit. I'm unsure about that. It is simply a recently purchased AM 2.0 kit. EDIT: Yes it is with NE parts.
20. Mineral spirits should take the paint off in all but the most bizarre of scenarios. That is exactly the approach I would take. Granted, I have a bottle of it in the garage already, but still.. That's where I'd start.
21. Not ALL of them, anyway.
22. Nothing concrete to add just yet, because I have not handled this kit. Yet. Tomorrow evening, I'll have an ANOVOS Kit, an AM 2.0 kit, and my completed RT-Mod all on hand for the purpose of reviewing/comparing them side by side. The focus will be the two kits, but the RT will be there for anything crazy that we want a third comparison of.
23. Doopydoos (www.doopydoos.com) is a very widely used kit. It is very simple and straight-forward, but allows for a great deal of modification to meet the builder's own tastes along the way. Simply want to glue the parts together, and paint it flat black? Perfect kit for you. Want to trick it out, modify it extensively, and make it truly one of a kind? Perfect kit for you. Definitely worth looking in to it.
24. Here's a great post to review before shopping for elastic to be used in your build: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26477-what-we-know-about-strapping-snaps-rivets-etc/
25. It's just the way that the ANOVOS helmets are made. I wouldn't consider trying anything to "fix" that... Each helmet and armor have their own tells. This is just one of them for ANOVOS. Seeing as how they are all built that way, sending it back would simply result in another one that looks like it being sent out as a replacement. It is different. It is not tragic. It probably should have been identified and corrected during the QC in the factory, but it wasn't and this is what they look like now as a result.
