  1. Just seen this Billy. Congratulations.
  2. I tried to get in touch with Keith to get some more Hovis. If anyone know his new address please PM me. Cheers
  3. Paul you should try acrylic ink it should take to the foam. There maybe other mediums at Atlantis art supplier which will evenly colour foam. I'll look into it.
  4. Yes it does seem light. I am going to add a bit of black in mine and keep it as a special TD colour
  5. I would wash down with a little bit of detergent to degrease.
  6. Being unique is an incredible asset and something you should nurture. Being cool is quite frankly over rated and will fade with gathering maturity as conforming seems to loose it's luster. Everyone likes to be popular, but the friends you gather around you should be people who are like minded and not judgmental. Acquaintances fade and are numerous, but a true friend who can accept you as you are something rare. Wearing a Stormtrooper armour all the time is a bit out there - they are not the most comfortable things. Maybe compromising by wearing an item like the belt like Luke. I thought playing a musical imstrument was always a great asset. Being interested in Star Wars isn't nerdy. The last three films suck ( sorry ) and Lucas is not the known for his great script work, but the film is iconic for a reason and borrows on many classical stories. The design work is superlative and has inspired many great film makers of our generation - Jackson and Ridley Scott to name a few. It is one of the things that got me into art, as I wanted to be a matt painter after seeing the making doc on Star Wars. If you haven't already read 'The Fountain Head' I think that clarifies many things connected to being true to yourself and the dull grey masses of conformists.
  7. I got the pads from B&Q. E6000 from the Living Doll shop mentioned above. Velcro from the Bay. Gundam does a nice set of canvas bits and they are not expensive to ship. Industrial Popper? I can give you the link to that if you need it.
  8. Nice looking helmet and the clicher the patch, absolutely brilliant.
  9. I would spend a bit more and go for an AP at least the helmet has a connection with screen used. Oh yes I forgot the MRCE was scanned from the original... I have to disagree with this post. An FX is what it is and no amount of Bondo will turn it into a TE or even an MRCE. With work you can improve on it but you are limited. Not to say it won't look nice though.
  10. Argh! It's just not right. With their archive they should get it spot on.
  11. That's a lot for FX, especially when you will want to change the lid for a better one soon.. and you will.
  12. Don't do it it's too nice. Get another one... it's what you want to hear isn't it?
  13. Excellent detail and extremely informative. I'm also glad it hasn't turned into a bun fight.
  14. Sharp looking armour. Is that your TM armour?
  15. Wow fast and so many pictures. Thanks for that, it's always good to see the progress. It must be a Danish thing, as you and Rolf seem to fly through.
  16. Looks like a nice set of armour. That eye does need opening up slightly though but that is just a nip pick . I hope my armour will be as nice.
  17. Nice looking armour. Mike's Sandy is one of my favourites. Is that a TM?
  18. Saw this and thought of this thread ----------
  19. It's an intersting idea. I know stukkatrooper rounded edges in certain parts to give the armour depth - maybe opencell foan with a thin material they use for running shirts
  20. Nice looking armour. Elite otherwise I'll eat my pauldron ( the only bit of kit I have at the moment )
  21. Here is the link for the rubber trim. I believe it's movie accurate Product #US161 or US52 for the brow ---------------
