  1. FBJ all the way, mate Scott TK-1496 posted how he modified his SDS belt over on another thred, might be worth a little look mate to get some ideas. Here's the link;- --------
  2. I'll have a nice cold one waiting for you and Aaron, no worries
  3. Aaron Just don't let him anywhere near your belt..... ..(sorry little joke folks) Colin great job mate, Aaron Niiiiiice Lid
  4. Paul Donny & Marie Special!!!, now you're talking mate A million times better than the Holiday special....you've got to love the 'Femme Troopers' in the german helmets, and what a stroke of genius to cast Kris Kristofferson as Han ....."getting ready 'coz here I come"......pure classic
  5. Colin....you DEE MAN!!! look at that!!, look at it....that Sir is a thing of beauty I doff my cap to you, and bow in appreciation Nicely done
  6. Colin Sorry I opened up this 'can of worms' mate Scott's suggestion sounds like a nice and quick easy mod to make with little fuss or outlay. If you need a reference for size the T M ones are roughly the same size as a 1p coin Hope this helps mate
  7. Colin My apologies mate, it looks like I’ve been over eager with my fastidious and exacting nature. Terrell, Scott and Paul have the final say and it looks like you have the green light once the blaster as been modified. Colin,I very much look forward to welcoming a fellow UKG member to the FISD Elite fold.
  8. Colin You're going to really hate me but I thought that I'd say it before someone else jumps in ith it. Your belt mate, there should be no rivets showing, they should have covers / caps over the top at either end and the center. Sorry mate didn't see them until you posted your update pictures
  9. David Most of the background / Stunt troopers only have 2 rivets holding the holsters Its only the 'Hero' belts that have the 4 rivets, like Lukes. I would think that the straps are all roughly the same length, it looks like the angle of the photo that makes them look shorter in this one
  10. LMAO Garth Congratulations mate, great set up,very nicely done Welcome to the Elite
  11. Mike Sounds bloody good to me I'd be up for 2 sets definitely mate.
  12. sorry mate , our post must of overlapped If you are going to send it back to have the work done then I would say that their new sight, whilst not 100% accurate, should be OK. as it is very similar to the Hyperfirm ANH and that passes Elite standards Personally, I'd go for Aarons and send it on, as its closer to an original, but that's just me....I do love my Sterlings You'll probably have to resubmit the update photos of it but Scott will tell you for sure
  13. Colin No need to buy another blaster mate, with a little bit of tweeking your one will be good to go mate. Nothing wrong with your scope, its the sight at the front that needs to be changed to something more like this this is what you have at the moment which is a rear sight Here you can see what it looks like on a ROTJ blaster If you take Aaron up on his offer for one of hes super-dooper front sights all you need to do is carefully remove your one along with the side 'D' ring and do a little bit of filling and repaint these small areas. Its not to big of a job mate honestly If you need help, please get in touch with me and I'll more then happy talk you through it. Congratulations on your TK by the way
  14. Colin Looking good mate, and congratulations on your clearence, that grin will get bigger when that TK number comes through Welcome to the UKG mate The only thing that I spotted was the blaster detail. ItchyNuts as done a fantastic job, the weathering is incredible BUT... You've got a back site on the front and a 'D' ring on the side/front and that would be a ROTJ detail and not ANH Other than that you're looking pretty darn fine
  15. Brian looking good mate Have you tried fixing straps to the inside of the abb / chest and kidney / back like this it might help to keep it in place better;- I have it on mine and it works perfect, worth a try mate
  16. Pat I'm not an electrician but all you will be doing is connecting wires with the solder so any soldering iron will be OK
  17. Brian Yerrp, Alex is a VERY talented young man and he as also made his own armour He as also made some other terrific pieces as well, you should check out hes topics
  18. Scott Yes mate, full kit and kaboodle. T M all the way Sir Ray Love ya Bro'
  19. Sorry Paul, Its those naughty new boys from the MEPD coming over here and causing havoc Aaron Thanks mate ...arrh, now my secret identity as been revealed,.....darn those pesky kids!!
  20. A good little trick that a plumber showed me while working with silicone (not on an MRCE that sprang a leak by the way ) was to run a tiny amout along the seam / join that you want to seal, then dampen a finger with 'White Spirit' ang run it over the top of it.This smooths it out and also makes the line consistent throughout. I've used 'White Spirit' on ABS with no problems, but I would always recommend that you try it on a blind spot / inside piece to test for possible reactions
  21. Darryl Here you go mate I think the 'Testers' are as follows; Ab Buttons 1772 Model Master - Blue Angel Blue FS15050 Ab Buttons, Frown & traps 1138 Testors - Gray Black Testor No.1747 = Humbrol No.21 Model Master - Gloss Black FS17038 1/2 Oz. Blue Testor No.1511 = Humbrol No.15 Testor No.2715 = Humbrol No.14 (Model Master French Blue) I hope this helps mate
  22. Tom Not quite sure what you're asking mate The standard says that you must have a TD or you can have a Grappling hook with box and comms link as an alternative. Check out Jasons - TK-J's Elite submission and you can see how it looks I hope this as helped mate
  23. Todd Looking good mate I think Scott, Terrell and Paul will ask you to post or link the pictures on here so everyone can see them. Here's a couple of things that I noticed. 2 x Additional T-Track needed on blaster Also just noticed no 'D' ring Belt details The only rivets showing on the belt should be for the holster attachment. The Ammo section should really be attatched on to the belt with no rivets showing. (and not the other way around) with one cap cover at either end and one in the center heres an example Helmet details You should have some shots showing details of front, sides & back so that the correct paint details can be seen in the traps, the Aerators, and that all screw heads are painted white. Also, not forgetting a shot of the green lenses. Butt / Kidney section split You might want to take a clear shot of this as you can only see it a little bit on your side shots Other then those little bits, its looking bloody good mate Hopefully have you joining the Elite in no time
  24. Graham Brilliant mate, Welcome to the fold Now where's that application for Elite?
  25. Paul Congratulations mate, 5000 posts might be looked at as just 'WORDS', but those 'words', and the creation of FISD, have helped and inspired thousands of people all over the World. Thank you Sir
