  1. Nooooooo!!!! Andy D'ya mean to say that you DIDN'T create the original ----------- Boy!, this is a real shock mate
  2. Not exactly true, I wear mine all the time and don't have any problems with them -------- If you're on a budget these are great, not only are they screen accurate, they're also dirt cheap. You can pick a pack of ten up for next to nothing if you hunt around Hope this helps
  3. Andy Brilliant attitude mate The most important thing is to take your time and enjoy it. The AP can be a little bit tricky in some areas and I'd like suggest you take a quick look at stukatrooper's fantastic tutorials which are invaluable. http://www.flickr.com/photos/stukatrooper/sets/ I can't wait to see your progress mate
  4. Blaster on route hopefully it will arrive before he gets knighted
  5. Here's a post from TM on the subject from the MEPD The hero's look like they could be leather or vinyl no one knows for sure.I don't think they were zipped, it looks more like the back joined together with velcro or possibly hooks Stunt / Background ------- ------- ------ ----- Hero Style ------- ----- --- I hope this helps
  6. Chris 501st status updated mate. Noticed that this is your first post, Welcome to the FISD We encourage all new members to pop over to New Member Introductions and post up a little bit about yourself so that everyone can get to know you a wee bit better Here's the link;- http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showforum=5 Gary Long story mate , PM sent
  7. Andy that's brilliant mate You want to take it to Christies and stick a £5000 reserve on it Well, if AA can do it.......
  8. Derek They're only as permanent as you want them to be . A friend of mine works for a company that applys the vinyl adverts on to London Taxi's. They range from just doing the doors all the way up to covering the total car. When they want to take them off they just start at an edge and apply hot air as they peel them off and it leaves no damage to the car It might pay to give Mike TK-4510 a shout, If there was enough interest in it then he might be persuaded in to maybe doing a kit for it. Just a thought
  9. WOW!! D'ya know what?, even though I'm lucky enough to own a set of this exquisite armour I just can't help drooling over photos like this. Its like being married to a supermodel but still appreciating her beauty when you see her on a page of a magazine Pablo Fantastic work mate,....now get kitted up trooper!!
  10. Pablo Pictures!! We need more PICTURES!!! Can't wait to see more mate PS I hope the shoulders better now
  11. David I use a variation on a theme of the original clover leaf helmet padding. I just got hold of some foam sheets and cut ot the shape and added an extra piece here and there where I needed a little bit extra The great thing about the shape is that it holds in place without any glue so I can pull it out and put it in another helmet any time I like The baseball helmet padding is also a great way to go, I've got this in my Kashyyyk scout helmet and its works great. I know that Smitty swears by them so check out some of his posts for some pictures. Hope this helps
  12. Arrh Man!! That's my new desktop wallpaper right there those thighs,....those shins.....those..... Pete, Nice work as always, can't wait to see the full set up

  17. Joe Fantastic news mate Congratulations!!!!
  18. Steve 100% right regarding the VT helmet molds , CAP gave them to him. Not sure about the armour, I was always under the impression that it was derived from AP Could be wrong
  19. Sorry folks, no matter what your stand point may be regarding Chris and his work, I defy anybody not to say that this isn't one sweet helmet
  20. Thayne VT armour is recast AP so that's why it caught you out mate Mark Nice set up mate You've done a nice job of fitting all those muscles in to that armour
  21. Brian They work just great mate, I've never had a problem with 'em popping or anything. Here's mine in action
  22. Manny I can't see any reason why you can't fix the rubber / latex guards to other type gloves other than rubber ones. They are only glued on to the backs so as long as you use an appropriate glue for the gloves that you're using you should be OK For fixing your ABS ones you may want to try one of TM's methods Paul Hope you don't mind me posting up this info? Manny I hope this helps mate
  23. Mark I found a nice scratch on it after O2 and resisted the temptation to polish it out ( boy!, was that a tough thing to do) You're right mate, it does need a bit of the 'shine' knocked off it to look more like an on screen suit, but its hard not to want to keep a TM looking its best But I am trying to let it weather its self naturally and you'll be happy to know that I stopped cleaning and polishing it ages ago......Honest!
  24. Also have to agree with Aaron's comments I love 'ULTRA ACCURATE' stuff , but I wouldn't have the rubber / latex hand guards set as a standard at this time. I would definitely have it as a recomended option for those who wish to aim for a more screen accurate look. As Aaron said, people have a misconceived idea of what the EIB (old Elite) programe is all about. And I think the true essence will only be communicated successfully through talking and showing people what the true intentions of it are. I was on a troop the other week and some of our crew members were asking me some questions about my armour, "why the elastic bands on the straps?",..."why hasn't your holster got loops?",....."doesn't your hands sweat in those rubber gloves?".... "why didn't you use stickers on your helmet?, are the lines meant to be like that?". After answering and explaining all the different reasons I could see excitment and satisfaction on some their faces and a glint of acknowledgement that they'd discovered something new,.....and they liked it ----------------- It's not just a slogan, its our ethos
