  1. Mark I think there goes your membership to 'Propaganda' Nicely put though ---------------- *EDITED* My apologies, No offence intended to any other forum members for quoting Mark - Billhag
  2. James I had the same problem mate, but it fitted just fine after the hair cut Sorry mate, couldn't resist it , You could try triming off some of the padding from the backs of the pads until it sits right. That should do the trick
  3. Mark Nice choice mate There are some great tutorials on here, so you'll have plenty to read while you're waiting for it to arrive Don't forget to check out Stukatrooper's brillant AP build page because Peter knows his stuff and tells it like is. Here's the link;---------- ...ooow,..and don't forget to post some pictures up when it comes, we'd all love to see 'em
  4. Pete Frigging AWSOME beard mate,....love it Got my fingers crossed for ya fella, and hopfully we'll be trooping together soon Quick question, have you got a strap betwean your butt plate and your cod?, because it looks a little bit odd in the photos
  5. Hi JT Still laughing at that comment, as the originals were black that were painted white You can find Jodhurs / Chelsea boots virtually anywhere. The closest thing that are nearest to the originals and still available are Loake's 290 B's but if you just want the 'look' then you'll find them out there ranging from $20 to $200 As for your lenses, you could go with clear and fit them with 'Mirror film' and that should do the trick. Try over at the 'Special Ops Detachment' and bound to be able to steer you in the right direction ---------------
  6. Kevin Yerrp, mine just rap around the belt with a smidge of glue to stop them sliding about. A nice alternative is to use snaps to attatch the ammo belt and boxes the same as Curtis did on his AP build a while back, and Firebladejedi did on his post for his belts. Here's his link and some pictures. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=854 And thank you for compliment on my armour, but I'm afraid that all credit for that incredible detail should go to its astounding creator who over many years as endeavored in hes unyielding pursuit of the perfect armour.Without sounding flippant, I think that its impossible to look bad in Paul's stuff even if you tried, And may I say, that your creations are also held in the same esteem Sir!.... Smitty, Paul(Daetrin), thanks mateys, I'll try to get some pics together and submit them when I can.
  7. Nathan Nudge up a bit, if they shoot you, they can take me down with ya mate Liz Moore sculpted the helmet and Brian Muir created the armour Mark As Nathen and David said, there's no disputing that AA produced the armour for ANH but our Mr Ainsworth is trying to take the credit for far, far more than he is entitled to. As well as denigrate all those talented people who WERE involved in the costumes conception. Today's ruling by Mr Justice Mann in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, affirmed that Lucasfilm is the sole owner of all rights to the iconic costume designs. The court held that Ainsworth infringed Lucasfilm's rights when he reproduced the Stormtrooper helmet replicas and sold them under a false claim that he had created the designs, which were used in 1977's Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Ainsworth was a plastics manufacturer who was hired in 1976 to reproduce designs created by a team of Lucasfilm artists, including costume designer John Mollo, who won an Academy Award for his work on the film. Mr Justice Mann stated that the description of some of Mr Ainsworth's evidence as "inaccurate and misleading". All this as been covered on many, many forums and serveral posts on the FISD. And its definitely worth reading the judges findings regarding the case as it certainly makes an interesting read (if you don't mind wading through the 150 pages ) Here's the link;- ------------- As for the helmets that he produces now, Paul's post says it all (and PLEASE don't even think about disputing Pauls credibility and knowledge on the subject ) Mark, if you like your armour and helmet then that is good enough mate. It'll be a dull old World if we all liked the same things . But please keep an open mind when it comes to the claims of its manufacturer.
  8. Chris That's the eFX LE, which is the same lid as the MR LE, eFX took over from Mater Replicas when they lost their marketing licence for serveral Star Wars products. Here's a link to there site mate eFX Collectibles

  13. Steve Sounds like you've given your armour a new lease of life What I would say though, anybody thinking about doing the same should ALWAYS test what they intend to use on a piece of scrap or the back of the armour some place out of sight as some thinners out there can be a wee bit nasty, especially some Acetone based products
  14. Suited and Booted every day!!..(suit, shirt & tie) I work in a major investment Bank in the City of London. I sometimes wear red silk french knickers under my Paul Smith suit to protest against their oppressive sartorial regime Just kidding...........they're BLUE!!
  15. So these would be the 'Homer Simpson - Vader' limited Edition pants then? ------------ JJ I really love the stormys, but I don't think our Lord Vader was meant to have gooo-gleee eyes

  18. Kris Fantastic set of armour mate, and you've done a great job of showing it off in all its glory Pssssst!,....little suggestion,..take the GF aerators off for some quick photos and shove 'em back on after if you really want to keep them,...but you never heard that from me....OK?
  19. Jory Mark - firebladejedi makes a brilliant black canvas belt (as well as his fantastic white and natural ones ) Shoot him a PM, I'm sure he'll be able to help you out
  20. ....arrh Man!, looks like there goes my application to CSI Miami..... Mark I think that I owe you an apology mate, the newly presented evidence is quite persuasive and backs up your original observation Peter Sir, I must yield to your superior investigative skills in the persuit of the irrefutable truth. Your compelling evidence of the 'pinched curve' and 'cavas belt strain' leads this humble amateur sleuth to believe that there is an high probability that this could in fact be a normal holster photographed in the position as stated. Steve, It's still a bloody nice holster mate
  21. Scott I told you hyp-no-tism!!....it's the only way... --------------- Another fantastic looking helmet mate,.....not jealous at all......
  22. Brian You're right, I got my knuckles rapped by Troopermaster and Riveting regarding that now out dated information on another later post SWR150 as changed and the new version is now much thicker. There are a few other threds on the forum discussing accurate trim and possible suppliers in the US and UK.
  23. Paul Hope you have a great time mate Don't forget to bring back loads and loads and loads of Macadamia nuts (Boy!, those little suckers are sooo addictive )
  24. Mark Its definitely not a normal holster, take a quick look at what it looks like when you brighten the picture up -------- Steve, other than maybe some stitching at the top of the opening of the front panel, I think you nailed that sucker mate Nice little curio you've created there Sir
